Recent Review: Walker Plumbing apparently often handles disconnecting/reconnecting kitchen faucets and gas appliances for people getting there kitchen countertops replaced. They did a very good job. Came out on one day's notice (once I got the date from the kitchen countertop installers I called them to come out and disconnect the gas cooktop.) Came back in two days (without needing a reminder) and installed/connected my new gas cooktop. Also installed/connected my new faucet and garbage disposal. The technician (Scott) went the extra distance of actually figuring out how to rotate the direction of the fan in my new gas cooktop so that it fit properly in my cabinet. Nothing in our kitchen is standard, so I'm sure he saved me about 10 trips to Lowe's if I had tried to do it myself. The job took about 3 hours, plus two trips to our house. So I think $270 was a good value.

Recent Review: They arrived within the window of time they gave me, were efficient in installing a new plug in our cabinets for the microwave. The microwave installation was delayed by a broken screw but was expertly handled by the technicians. The dishwasher install went smoothly and everything now runs. They even went out of their way to help us with a broken plug with the range top. Would recommend these guys to anyone for installation of appliances.

Recent Review: They were excellent...loved them. We had installed a new stove and it smelled like it was burning. We had to call the Fire Dept. and they told us to call an appliance repair service. I looked on Angie's List and I saw this company was close to us and they responded almost immediately and they did very good work and they were very pleasant. I would recommend anyone to call them. They were very pleasant and did the job very fast. They are one of the better people we've had over to work for us.

Recent Review: This is the 2nd time I have asked Craig to perform work on my old house for me. First, Craig was able to come to my house in the evening to give me an estimate. This was a big plus in not having to lose time at work. We agreed on a price and a date to do the upgrade/repairs. On the day of the scheduled repair, he called to let me know he was doing an emergency plumbing job and would be a little late. I really appreciated the call. Once Craig arrived he got right to work installing shut off valves on the plumbing under the kitchen sink. I did not have the correct parts and he needed to run to Lowes to pick up the correct parts. He successfully installed the valves. Not an easy task due to the configuration under the kitchen sink. The ceiling fan he removed was manufactured by Montgomery Wards so we weren't sure of what challenges would await during the removal. Craig removed the old fan and installed the new track lighting. The dimmer switch brought new challenges since the old wiring did not include a ground wire. Craig had to configure a new ground in the old switch box. Disconnecting the stove was not a difficult task, but I was happy that Craig was able to disconnect the wires and add wire nuts to keep the wires safe until I am ready to have the new stove top installed. All in all I was very happy with the work that Craig performed and I will be contacting him for work in the future.

DCapritta Appliance & A/C
I was cleaning the cooktop and had removed the knobs to clean under them.  The igniters started clicking and then burst into flames under the cooktop.  We called Capritta because they were highly recommended on Angie's List and near our home.  The sent someone out the next day.  He was prompt and very nice.  However, prompt and nice isn't what I was paying for.  He was not able to get the cooktop open to properly inspect the damage, but after prying the top up a half an inch with a screwdriver he pronounced the back three burner igniters dead, but told my husband he could continue to use the front two until parts came in.  My husband, being understandably skeptical of this diagnosis, since the stove had been ON FIRE the day before questioned him about the safety.  In proving that he was correct the repairman plugged in the igniter and switched one on...at which point the igniter burst into flame again.  Needless to say, after this occurance and the repairman's failure to even address what might be wrong with the seals of the cooktop that allowed water into the appliance in the first place (not to mention his inability to open the appliance to diagnose the problem, I'm not sure how he thought he would be able to  install the parts), we determined that we would not risk our home to fire by using this company.  We paid the $90 service fee but did not feel like any service had been performed at all. I'm sure our experience is contrary to the norm.  But that is what happened.
