Recent Review: Wayne and his right hand man, M.G., are great guys. They are honest and do good work. I wanted a number of features on our docks to make them strong and durable and Wayne and M.G. delivered. They used stainless hardware and top notch components throughout. Plus they paid attention to detail which I really appreciated. I always felt I could trust Wayne to finish the job to my satisfaction. He has always delivered.

AShiloh Marine Construction
Shiloh Marine Construction claims to be Florida's leading provider for waterfront design and construction. That's a pretty big claim, but after working with Rodney and his team for the past few months, I have no reason to doubt it. I had a rough idea of what I wanted done to upgrade my pool and waterfront areas, but it was Rodney who was able to take those ideas and create a beautiful design. Then it was up to Shiloh's superb construction crew to bring those ideas to life, and they were up to the task. The final result is absolutely amazing. I could not be more pleased.

DDavid Meyer Builder, Inc.
This was just too big a job for this contractor. The most disorganized poorly planned venture ever. All the work was done at least twice because of poor planning, poor skill, or lack of knowledge. David would show up briefly every morning then disappear. Nothing ever completed. Deck was half done, had to be completed finally by subs for the dock, Hardy board half done with incorrect nails, errors just caulked over, paint sloppily applied, overspray on windows, walls, and marble tile from ceiling work, windows incorrectly measured, glass broken Expensive items were lost, discarded or broken. I have never seen someone so unconcerned about shoddy work. (" I knew you would be unhappy if it wasn't perfect" -David Meyer) We were charged for hourly wages for his crew for work we could not see, that he could not demonstrate when asked. We have had to hire subs to repair work his crew did incorrectly. We had to fire his recommended subs and had to hire other subs to repair damage or poor work. He was very expensive because of the high cost of doing the job twice (or more, after hiring someone to fix errors after a redo). David always has an excuse. It is always someone else's fault, never his own lack of planning, supervision, or knowledge.

CAt Home Contracting Inc
Overall, appearance was just fair (See above comments). Although good carpentars, I got the feeling they had not built many pergolas. Anyway, I'm now finishing the sanding and starting to brush on Behr's Waterproofing/Stain, weather permitting. "At Home" could have cut $1000 from the pricetag and still made a good profit. I was going to have them construct me a small dock, but I contacted some other local folks to put in the basics (sink the posts, bolt the main support beams in place). Home Depot provided the lumber without having to pay management for their efforts. I'm slowly learning that these "headhunting agencies" in the Yellow Pages do very little to earn their money. Also, at no time other than the original meeting and contract signing did I see any "At Home" management representative stop by to view the work in progress or the finished product.
