Recent Review: We had our asphalt replaced with a 26 gauge metal roof. Working with Jon and his crew was a terrific experience. They showed up every day at 7 and worked until 5. Phone calls and questions were promptly answered. The work they did was incredible and it turned out better than we expected. They cleaned up every day and there was no damage to existing landscape.

Recent Review: They were courteous, professional, understanding, and so easy to deal with, not to mention they gave us the best price. Family-owned operation made our dreaded home repair an easy and painless experience! Other roofing contractors wanted to add on all kinds of things to their base quote, but not Capps. Their price was their price.

Recent Review: Job was started at 8am Monday morning. Crew came in and removed the old asphalt shingles. All the sheathing was then re-nailed to south Florida code. A waterproof underlayment was then placed on the entire roof. The following day the metal crew showed up at 7:30 and started the re-roofing process. By 4pm our new roof was completed. All the workers were polite and very professional. I would absolutly recommend OnShore roofing to anyone needing a roof. Fair price, professional staff and quick.

Recent Review: Their sales person was wonderful.  She was very informative and answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with my choice in selecting their company.  I was told the project would take about a week to complete once started and a supervisor would be onsite.  They were also the lowest bid for my project.  The communication was far below what I expected.  I was initially told the project would most likely begin in 3 weeks (1 1/2 weeks for permits and another 1 1/2 weeks for scheduling) which would have been 2 weeks before Thanksgiving.  The tear off of my roof started 2 months later on December 17, 8 weeks after I signed the contract.  I get that this is a busy time of year, but I had to call several times to find out when they would be coming (turns out the permit was signed on 11/12 but that was never communicated to me).  It took less than 2 days to patch the leak, remove the old roof and put down the weatherproof underlayment.  On the third day, when no one showed up, I called to find out the status.  I was told, "They were done" and  that they would now order the metal based on measurements taken at the time of removing the old roof.  This process I was told takes a week to 10 days but because of the holidays, it would most likely be the first of January. Not what I was expecting based on my initial conversations with the sales person's comment of the process taking about a week, I thought she meant a consecutive 5 - 7 days... The delay turned out to be a blessing because during this delay we had significant rain and it became apparent that the repair of the initial leak was not adequate.   I called the company and someone came out later that day and put another patch on the roof.  He seemed sincere in wanting to make sure it was done right.  I must clarify that the architectural design of my roof made patching a challenge and prior roofers stated they would not warrantee their work to repair this leak.  Because they needed to access the roof from the attic to repair the rotted wood, they told me they would call me before coming out to fix it to make sure I would be home.  Surprise, they showed up one morning while I was in the shower because no one had called me to let me know they would be coming that day. They started putting the metal on the roof and then there was more rain, and again, another leak!  When the crew showed up I tried to communicate about the leak but they did not understand me (they spoke limited English) so I asked for the supervisor or boss.  Turns out the supervisor, does NOT show up on the job site, but is available by phone if the crew needs him.  I called the office and the supervisor did come and speak with me and explained how they would fix the new issue. My roof is now complete and it looks great.   I did have to call the office to get someone to come pick up the extra metal sitting in my driveway for 5 days.  I don't think was communicated back to the office by the workers who told me someone would be there the next morning to pick it up after they finished the job.  It's too soon to tell if the leaking problems are permanently fixed, but let's hope so! I struggled with writing this review as I do think they are a good company and I think I would feel better about recommending them to my friends if they had communicated better with me so that I my expectations were consistent with their practice. In summary:  Sales and marketing were excellent, communication was very poor and service/performance was decent.

Recent Review: I thought they did a good job. They were responsive and cleaned up after themselves. I had a concern on one piece after the work was done. I gave them a call and they were out to my house within two days and fixed it. They explained the situation, the work was done correctly and they honored the guarantee. They gave me a three year guarantee on the labor and fifty years on the shingles.

Recent Review: To the nitty-gritty, the work was very good, but the communication and timing could have been better. The price was about middle of the road of the three estimates we received. A big plus was no money down and half the contract amount due upon start of work. But they did not ask for any funds and I was not billed until a week later. There was a small extra charge for replacing rotted wood (plus labor). That was fine as I knew that beforehand. Also the work is warranted for 2 years. The owner, James Ares, is quite knowledgeable about roof design and repair. You talk to him a few minutes and it?s obvious he knows his stuff. He explained what was required in detail, and supplied drawings too. His work crew was top notch and polite, showing me the damage and what caused the damage. They also cleaned up well. The slight issue was with communication. Some calls were not returned promptly. Then I was told repairs would start 2 weeks from signing of contract, but it was almost 3.5 weeks before the repair was started. I know that unforeseen circumstances occur (rain), but that seemed excessive. And we did not have that much rain. And a courtesy call would have been nice. It seems like a lot of Florida contractors work like this, which I just don?t get.On the day before the work was to start, I received a call from James stating his crew would be there by 8am. They did not show until almost 11am. I put in for a few hours off work assuming they would be on time and I could see the damage. Turns out I had to leave for work, and then come home again (a few more hours of my time, plus travel). The main thing is that there is no leak anymore. While we have not had any ultra-heavy, continuing rain, we have a few downpours and so far so good.If the company could improve their communication (it was not horrible but could have been better), they would rank a solid A. So I had to ding them a bit on that so hence the C rating. I also thought all the prices were a little steep (not just Stuart Roof Repair), but what are you going to do when your roof needs repair. All in all a decent experience and I would use them again.

Recent Review: Excellent! The team were punctual and got to work quickly. The men were polite and courteous. They certainly knew their job and did it very well. The job went very quickly as the weather was good. Only one small snag and that was due to waiting for two new panels. It seems two were cut short. As soon as the panels arrived they completed the roof and were on to putting new seamless gutters on the house. I couldn’t be more pleased with their service and the results.

First let me say that Mr. J. Blake Capps runs an awesome roofing company. From start to finish his team was professional, friendly, technically proficient, and punctual. They went above and beyond what was expected and provided a beautiful and sound roof! I do have to mention an issue that arose that calls out the professionalism, honesty and a true sense of customer service. Unfortunately, the project started when we had that week of steady rain a month or so back. After dry-in, there was a small leak in the base felt. I texted Roy, one of the project managers and he stated "someone will be right out", they were within an hour. What's amazing about it was it was a Sunday mid-morning and he had a painter come out and repair a small stain on the ceiling. Truly a company focused on customer service. I will and would recommend Capps Roofing to anyone requiring roofing services. 5 stars!!!

Excellent, the work was started and completed in the time frame agreed upon.  Rotten ply wood caused by previous leaks was removed and replaced. Old roofing material was removed and all new felt, flashing and asphalt roofing material was used.  Roofing crew was professional in their work - all trash was cleaned up -the roof and yard area were cleaned to pre-work conditions. Have had several heavy rain periods since the work was completed and no hint of a leak.  Very satisfied.  Will definitely consider in a couple of years when the main roof will need to be replaced.

BCode Red Roofers Inc
When my 17yo asphalt roof began to leak I decided it was time for a metal roof. I called about 5 companies with 4 showing up for actual estimates. Code Red was not the cheapest but their underlayment and flat roof materials were better quality than the others so in actuality they were the cheapest. They never actually saw my roof but estimated it through (they said) satellite imagery or county records or something, I'm still confused on that one. Their sales person Holly came by with my personalized estimate in a sharp looking folder. After some chit chat and haggling I gave her a deposit and signed on the dotted line. Holly was adamant that I call her if I ever had any problems or questions, that was her job. Oh shoot !! I forgot to ask Holly about some details in the agreement, I'll just call her. Over the next 3 days I must have called her 5 or 6 times with no response whatsoever. I even called her office and they got right through to her. She told the receptionist Becky to tell me she was sorry and would call me in 30 minutes. Ok I understand she was busy. 30 minutes goes by, an hour, 2 hours. She never called me back. I couldn't believe it. Code Red Roofers "We Respond " "We Care" "We show up " were a fraud !! That  was it. I was p*****. So I left a message on Holly's phone that the deal was quickly falling apart. Lo and behold an hour later Brian, the owner of Code Red, called me. I told him of my dissatisfaction with Holly and what the heck was going on yada yada yada and he just calmed me right down. The job began on schedule with the rip off, dry in and flat roof work all done in a day. It was a neat job with minimal debris left about. 2 weeks later the metal roof was installed and it looked great. Neat, clean and straight. Next the gutters went on. Code Red subcontracts the gutter work out and it was a decent job, not great, but not bad either. There are still a few minor issues to correct with the roofing job but I'm not worried. I'm sure it will be resolved. All and all I'm happy with Code Red. They did what they said they would do, on time and on budget. Don't expect a hands on experience though. The upper echelon at Code Red are neither seen nor heard. Everything goes through Becky, the sweet girl at the front desk. Without Becky I would I think I would have killed myself. As far as I am concerned she is the glue that holds Code Red together. Becky I owe you a debt of gratitude. Whatever they pay you it's not enough :>)
