On Dec. 13, 2013 one of Sarah's employees could not make it to my home to clean, so Sarah came instead. Sarah never comes to clean, even if one of the girls can't make it, but she decided to come this day, and it became apparent to me why. Sarah's only concern is to stay at home and let her 2 employees do all the work. But on Dec. 13th. my last cleaning BEFORE Christmas, she decided to come and clean. It is customary for customers to give a Christmas bonus to employees who come and actually do the work. Proper tipping etiquette states that owners of a business DO NOT receive any compensation or tips for Christmas. When they were done cleaning and about to leave I gave her employee an envelope with a Christmas bonus in it, and I also gave her another envelope for the other employee that couldn't come to clean for personal reasons. About an hour or so later I received phone call from Sarah telling me that she will be downsizing and that I needed to chose between her as my cleaning person, or her 2 employees because they were going to start their own business. Now she knows that I want 2 people here to clean my house because with 2 people it takes 2 hours, if only 1 person came, it would take 4, and I don't want to stuck in my house for 4 hours waiting for them to get done. So I told her that I would take the 2 employees that come here everytime. Now I'm not a stupid person, and I found it strange that she called me an hour after she left to tell me that she was downsizing. She was UPSET that I gave her 2 employees Christmas Bonuses and she received none. As I stated earlier 1 - I do not tip owners - 2- she never came to my house to clean & 3 - the only reason she came to clean was to get a bonus, otherwise she would have sent the 1 employee to clean as she had done,a few times before. Her cleaning practices are good, but her character needs improvement. She was upset It took alot of nerve for her to call me after knowing that she was not getting a bonus. I am not required to give anything to anyone. Now she will respond to this rating saying that that she was going to downsize anyway, and that I didn't pay enough for the services rendered. But I've been paying the same amount for 2 years and never had a problem. And as far as her saying that she is downsizing, then why is she looking for more clients? No, it was none of the above, she was upset about the bonuses. So, I would keep in mind all that I've stated if you are thinking about using Sarah. She might also drop you if you don't give her the bonus that SHE thinks she deserves.
