Recent Review: I first called Rob Martin to set up a time to talk about a new counter in my guest bathroom. He set a time, I showed up and he was very informative about what we would have to do...pick a granite color, provide my own sink (he does not carry vessel sinks so he gave me the name of a website to go to with MANY different sinks) and we then discussed having a plumber come right after to turn on the water. We set a time for him to come and take measurements. He was there at the date and time specified. When our sink arrived, we took it to him so he could make the template for the granite top. He called one day later and asked if the Friday would be acceptable to install and gave me an approximate time. He called 30 minutes before he arrived. He and his assistant installed the counter top and the vessel sink. The plumber came about 3 - 4 hours later (after everything was dry) and turned the sink on. The end results were beautiful. This company was so professional and pleasant to work with. I will call them again when I change out my sinks in the Master Bath. I highly recommend them.

Recent Review: I had contacted quite a few contractors to get my bathroom renovated and I was getting frustrated. Mike Susdorf of MTS made an appointment, discussed with me what I wanted, made some good suggestions and left me with an itemized estimate. The estimate was within my budget and between my schedule and his we set a start date. My bathroom was old so it required an experienced plumber, electrician, carpenter and plasterer. I got two men who were all of that, worked well together, discussed problems with me and took pride in their work. I replaced the tub/shower and walls, new fixtures for tub/shower, textured and painted walls/ceiling. hung mirror, reworked electric and replaced vanity light. Install shelving in two closets. Install shutoff valves on shower/tub and sink. Attach vanity to wall. It looks great, new and I'm very happy.
Not well. Initially, very enthusiastic and overall quality of work good. Delay after delay, ordering mistakes that ended up costing me. Attempted to charge double estimate. His excuse was that products and subcontractors cost more than he thought (estimated) they would, but he never addressed any costs above estimate until he wanted to collect. He said he was not good with communications. No kidding! I agreed to pay unto 10% above estimate for costs and eventually settled on this for one bathroom. He did not start second bathroom. When I went to buy same supplies for second bathroom that he had estimated for prior, I found that he had grossly overcharged for materials and supplies on original estimate. The bathroom cabinet he made was very nice, the remainder of the work he subcontracted and plumbing and tile was mediocre and overpriced. I learned a lot by hiring individuals to do each portion of second bathroom which ended up costing less than half of the original estimate he quoted, and less than 25% of the final estimate he presented when he finished the first bathroom. If you use him, make sure you have every detail in writing.

AR W Eddy Enterprises Inc
Perfect! We told R W Eddy Enterprises what colors and styles we wanted for the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops and he made it happen. We went on vacation and when we returned home everything was done. They do such beautiful work and we have gotten lots of compliments on the kitchen and bathroom. We could not be more pleased with the outcome.

AGolden Hammer Construction
Shawn and his team did an excellent job with our remodel job. Although the job did take longer than expected we were kept informed at every step and delays were mostly due to deliveries of ordered materials. Shawn made sure that the job site was kept clean and that we were able to continue normal activities as best we could under the circumstances. When little problems appeared Shawn handled with great professionalism and we felt he had good experience, knowledge and managerial skill to insure that the end result was of a very high quality. We have no qualms about recommending Golden Hammer.

They came on time, finished in less than 3 hours and left it spotless. I was so impressed I have just hired them again to start on 2/27/15 with a major bathroom renovation which involved replacement of toilet, bathtub and shower head. plus removal of shower tile. I recommend them strongly as they do what they tell you they will do for a reasonable price.

AThe Hernacki Company
Timothy Hernacki explained the problems with my old patio slab and gave options on how to fix it. I chose to have concrete poured over existing broken up slab and have the step going to the house raised to bring up to code. He repaired an electrical outlet that had been pulled down away from the house due to the old sinking slab. He kept me informed on what he was doing and how it would prevent future sinking/cracking of slab. He was extremely easy to work with and was responsive to my questions and concerns. I plan to hire him again in the future for a bathroom renovation. His work is excellent.

My situation is unique in that as the owner, I live out of state but family members live in the house that underwent the project. I sought out 3 estimates 5 months prior to the start of the project. All 3 estimates were fairly close in price for what was included in each of the proposals. I chose Anthony because of the detail he put in the proposal. I was concerned that additional costs would be added in the other proposed projects since they were not specifically stated. Anthony told me he might be a bit higher as he only uses quality materials, specifically on the shower door ( the door he suggested is sturdy & top notch). Anthony came across as knowledgeable as well as approachable . The bathroom renovation was done on a bathroom in a house built in 1901. Anthony had warned me ahead of time that the main water pipe line was probably in an area of the bathroom which would effect the design of the bathroom. He was right and the space to work with was smaller than he expected when the bathroom was fully gutted. We had to go to plan B and eventually to plan C when the proposed shower was going to be smaller than we needed as we had some large family members. This took time and the 3 week project took close to 5 weeks. Of course, I wanted the project to end sooner but I could see that Nick (foreman) and his assistants were doing a quality job. Space was an issue- 2 men could work comfortably but no more! The house needed a good dusting upon completion of the project (not surprised) but the men made an earnest effort to clean up after themselves each day. In regard to the supplies, I picked out the bathroom cabinet with a mirror, tiles and light fixture while Anthony suggested the window, toilet, pedestal sink, faucets, shower heads etc. I was very pleased with the quality of all of the above equipment. Of course, there were a few bumps in the road but Nick was readily available and if I needed additional clarification, Anthony returned phone calls on a timely basis and when I asked him to stop by as we were moving on to plan C, he was very accommodating. He did not give the feeling that he was too busy for me. Anthony is a hands on owner. Once you sign the contract, you will here from him again. He also honors his word. One of his workers refinished my bathroom door & truthfully, it was the only part of the project I was dissatisfied with. Anthony said he would forward the door to a professional refinisher without additional cost. He kept his word and the door looks super! A major shoutout of appreciation goes to Mary who runs the office. She promptly returns emails, phone calls and if there is any question about an order, goes over line by line to make sure everything is correct- attentive to detail! I am saving my $$ for the second bathroom in my home & I will be using Gaudioso contracting in the future.
