Recent Review: We contracted Mr Thaler to replace our existing doors and windows with hurricane resistant glass. Mr Thaler came to our home to provide an estimate and during his visit made several cost saving suggestions that we were not aware of. After the estimate was approved he began work and not only was he quick he was careful not to create an excessive mess. He constantly evaluated his work and made on the spot corrections if needed . I would highly recommend Mr Thaler to anyone for all types construction with no reservations what so ever!

Recent Review: I required an installation of storm doors and windows for a property and found Alpha Windows and Doors. I took advantage of a consultation and it was a tremendous benefit before obtaining a cost estimate. I was very pleased with the explanation of all costs involved and the installation process. They have a great customer service team that is ready to answer any questions easing the process entirely. They offer a great selection of manufacturers to choose from and have a very broad product selection to fit many different needs, sizes options, and more. Considering the cost of the project, it is great to know that they also accept many different forms of payment and excellent financing options as well. Alpha is a great choice if you are looking especially for custom work that other service providers may not be able to take on. The value for the selection and added maintenance options are among the best that I have seen.

Recent Review: Made an appointment and a salesman arrived on-time calling in advance to confirm the appointment and our availability. Also of significance was that he came in the evening when we were both available after work. Salesman was very knowledgeable, informative, brought samples, answered all questions, and offered various options for what we wanted along with leaving brochures etc on their products. Estimate was very fair and comparable with other estimates, but exceeded in both quality and warranty. The company followed up after visit asking if we had any other concerns or questions. Note: only one other company called back out of four. We conducted a lot of research as this was a major investment as we wanted not only a good price, but a quality product that would both last and provide true protection against the storms we get here in South Florida and would increase our home resale value. We took our time and this company was the only one who followed up over this long period. Some may call that pushy, but we call it a company that wants our business. When we decided to make the purchase the company sent our their representative who again sat down and addressed all our concerns and again brought samples highlighting their product as well as details of where their product was made and how it is constructed to exceed current code. He provided a detailed written estimate and contract. After completion we paid the exact cost agreed upon although they went above and beyond what they were required to do. After signing contract, the measurer arrived on-time as scheduled and was both professional and informative. The windows and doors were completed ahead of schedule and the company called to set-up a convenient time to install. Installers arrived on-time, were extremely professional, and completed the job with our interests in mind meaning they set-up barriers to minimize dust, they really worked and did not goof-off as others have done on projects we have had contracted for, and offered to stay late to complete the job so as not to inconvenience us for a third day for a couple of hours of work. When completed, they really cleaned up after themselves, not like any other contractor we've had. When the County Inspector arrived for the inspection, one of the installers arrived first at the scheduled time unlike the Inspector who was late. Inspection went fine with the Inspector pointing out to me that the product and installation met/exceeded all required code and that the installers really exceeded required installation requirements. Have several friends who also had storm windows and doors installed in the past year and have heard nothing but horror stories on their experiences with their companies. We were also blessed that we did not have to spend days cleaning-up after the installation as they did or have to hire someone to make repairs on damages or omissions their installers made. Our installation was complete plus! Again, many kudos to the installers " Tony's Crew" who were a group of guys who really knew what they were doing in every aspect and went above and beyond in various aspects of the installation and done way more than what most (any) installer would or should do! We recently have hired several contractors to do things from a new roof to new counter tops in the kitchen and in one case we refused to pay and had to go to arbitration with the other we continually have to perform follow-up repairs. This experience exceeded all expectations and we wish they also did bathroom remodels which is our next project. A++

AAAA Door Repair
It went very well.  Bob removed the defective door and will return, repair and reposition it after my new flooring is installed. He will also repair the patio screen door that does not close properly.

AHandyman Gary
Gary was perfect. He was always on time and nice on the telephone. He even came out on a Saturday at my convenience to fix it. He had a good reputation on Angie's List and he was really nice and had a neat appearance.

AAlpha Impact Windows and Doors
Called and Chad came out the following day.  He inspected all existing doors and windows.  Made recommendations.  Explained the differences in the products he carries.  Showed us how he they would install the doors and windows.  Went over several options on a rear sliding door and fixed window lay out.  Showed us how the different combinations would look and the structural concerns with the different layouts.  He gave us a complete itemized quote with all pricing and product model numbers.  Super nice guy.  Very knowledgeable with all his products and installation.  He also invited us up to their show room so we could see the actual windows and doors he quoted.  It was very informative and everyone in the office was very nice and knowledgeable on their products.  He even came back later with a discount they were offering for end of month sale.  Unfortunately we did instal any new windows and doors.  But if we did I would have definitely used Alpha Window and Doors.  Chad was great to work with.  I would highly recommend having Alpha Windows and Doors to come out and give you a quote.

BStormwise Hurricane Protection
The majority of the experience was fine so the shutter installation experience everything went really, really well but we ordered a storm door like a hurricane door also and that took at least four months to get them and when they get them it was the wrong size and so that was unpleasant experience. Overall like 80% of it was fine but for that we will never order a custom made item from them again.

ACARBONNEAU'S Impact Windows, Doors and Screening
They are fantastic. They do high quality work. They are also very clean. I picked out the materials and they picked it up, paid for it and just added it to my final bill. They found that some materials were not available, found some at another location and picked them up at no additional charge. They really go above and beyond anyone I have worked with. They do everything they can to make sure I was happy with the end product. I plan on using them again.

ALiving Earth Remodelers
Eamon, his crew at Living Earth, and his subcontractors (Brower Electrical) are the standard by which all contractors should be compared. From start to finish they were professional, courteous, accommodating, and did outstanding work. And one of the most reassuring signs that we had found the right contractor: they didn't ask for half the money up front (if your contractor asks for all the material costs before doing any work I recommend looking for a different contractor).  We had a small master bath completely remodeled, including the replacement of an exterior access cabana door and installation of a vent fan, as well as replacement of our main and service electrical panels (which were out of code), installation of a second vent fan and new 20amp service in our main bathroom, new interconnected smoke detectors, and GFCI outlets in our kitchen. The work was done in a timely fashion and we were kept in the loop every step of the way. The disruption was as little as could be expected with gutting and replacing a bathroom, although having a door directly from the exterior to the bathroom definitely helped in our case. They told us when they would be there and what they'd be doing (and then actually showed up!) so we could make any plans accordingly. On top of all that, the work spanned the birth of our first child and they did everything they could to not be intrusive during that transition. The only issue we ever had was with some of the tile work but as soon as we mentioned our concern to Eamon he said "don't worry, I'll make sure it gets fixed" and that was it! The guys were back the next day and it was done exactly how we asked. The electrician even installed a timer I had bought for our exterior lights that I hadn't gotten around to installing.  I can't say enough good things about our experience. I would highly recommend Living Earth Remodelers, even if it means you have to wait for availability in their schedule (news flash: this is a GOOD THING when picking a contractor...it means they are in demand because they do good work).
