So happy! David and Tracey the owners won my trust immediately. Their price was fair and they got in and out as quickly as possible. So nice to know there are honest and responsive roofing contractors in Central Florida. Call them first!

It went very well - they were not only were the low bidder, they did a superb job using excellent materials. Even did some extra work, like repainting the chimney without addtional charges.

The roofers showed up as scheduled on the date and time promised. The roofing crew worked all day (12 hrs) and were as quiet as could be for reroofing a house. There was no loud music playing, loud language or shouting. The job took 4 days and at the end of each day they went around and cleaned up the job site and used magnets to clean up nails. We are very pleased with our new roof and have even gotten compliments from our neighbors. Would definitely recommend this company.

The actual roofing crew worked hard and cleaned up after themselves but the support crew, administration and "boss" of this company is a total pack of clowns. The boss told the roofers to leave the old drip edge even though much of it was damaged by the hurricane and it looked terrible! They lost our contact information several times and delayed the project. When we finally met with them, they agreed to take down the old gutters and replace the damaged drip edge and fascia, but then they said they "forgot" so it was all a mess. New shingles with old beat up drip edge and fascia. Then they sent a guy to remove the gutters after the roof was already on, and he actually beat the gutters off with a hammer, bending and damaging more fascia more drip edge and some of our screens. When they left, the piles of junk and buckets of nails and even paint cans on the roof were all just left behind. They are not organized, and have little or no attention to detail. Our original contract said $12900, we ended up paying over $15k based only on their word that they needed that much extra wood and material, no photos, no documentation even though they had promised it.

ATotal Home Roofing
I was referred to Total Home Roofing by my neighbor, who was having his roof replaced as well.  Made an appointment with Total's  roofing consultant for later in the week after work, 6:30pm to be exact, and  low and behold he showed up right on time!   I always use timeliness as my first test as to whether I will do business with a contractor and Alex passed the test with flying colors. Alex was very easy to work with, no sales pitch for upgrades, he just laid the information out for me and my wife and allowed us to make the choices that worked best for us.  Pricing and terms were very competitive with other firms we were looking at so we decided to go with Total Home Roofing. We were not disappointed with our selection! Everyone else that we worked with, from the office staff to the work crew, was courteous and professional.  Mother nature messed up the schedule a bit when the time came to actually replace the roof but the crew was on time and hard working.  At the end of each day the worksite was clean and well organized and I did not find any rouge nails or other debris around the property! We scheduled our wind mitigation inspection (included in the price from Total) immediately after the roof was complete and all of the work was done to proper specifications to qualify for a rate reduction on our home insurance policy. I would, and already have, recommend these folks to others in need of a roof replacement. Thanks for a job well done!

Sometimes you find out more about your contractor when there is a problem than when the job goes smoothly; only issue during roof installation was one day when the crew got blind-sided by a 12 noon thunderstorm; i thought they should have been better prepared; a minimal amount of water got in through the skylight; the crew appeared to use a dull saw blade when cutting the sofffit material and also cut some by hand; this caused bowing and buckling of the soffit during installation; John contacted his mateial distributor and also called on another contractor to evaluated the problem; John decided to have the advising contractor totally re-do the job on his nickel; job was re-done and everything was done to my satisfaction; I gave John a 'B' for quality only to show that there was a problem; in fact, because of the way he handled the issues, the job was completed to 'A' standards.

AMC did a great job for us. We are really proud of our new metal roof and the change in our homes appearance is dramatic. AMC was very professional through the whole process and we would definitely recommend them. There were a couple of minor snags, but AMC reacted instantly and positively and took care of them for us.

This company was absolutely fantastic to work with, from the initial sales appointment to the installation to several months after the installation when we requested documents.  Every person we came into contact with was polite and professional, and all of our calls and emails were returned promptly.  The work crews that came out were so nice that I bought them pizza for lunch to thank them for their hard work. We had several (as in, probably at least ten) roofing companies come out to give us an estimate to replace our shingle roof with a metal roof.  Solar Shield was the first we contacted.  I don't recall the name of the sales person who came to our house to go over the product and the process, but he was phenomenal (he was an older gentleman; my husband says he looks like Packers coach Mike McCarthy!).  I realize that that's his job as a salesperson, but after getting taken in by a window company salesman in our much younger days, I'm a skeptic and a hard sell.  He was very thorough in explaining the process and the product to us, down to the exact screws they would use and the method they used to screw the roof to the deck, and made sure to answer all of my questions (I ask a LOT of questions so that I know what I'm getting into), and after evaluating the product and reading reviews online, we were fairly certain we would be going with Solar Shield.  He gave us a price of $25000 for our roof, which sounds insanely high after getting estimates of around $12000 to replace the roof with another shingle roof, and we wanted to do our due diligence before signing.  Our house is a single story with an area of about 2500 square feet and a hipped roof with a few bump outs and an elevated porch roof, and the layout is in an L-shape, so it's not just a square house with a simple gable roof.   After the Solar Shield presentation, we had a lot of other companies come out to gives us estimates, which ranged in price from $18000 to $32000, so Solar Shield's price was literally right smack in the middle.  The $18000 estimate didn't even include wind mitigation or to remove the old roof/repair the roof deck; the guy said it wasn't necessary.  Um, how do you know my roof deck is in good shape if you're just going to plop another roof right on top of it?  Please see comment where my roof was leaking.  No, thanks.  None of the other estimates included wind mitigation, either, and their products were all substandard to the Solar Shield product (this is why I ask so many questions).  I'm of the belief that when you get multiple comparable estimates, your safest bet is typically to go with the one in the middle.  So not only was Solar Shield's product the best, in my opinion, but they were also right in the middle of all of the estimates I got. My only complaint is that it took four months for them to start work on my roof.  I know it wasn't their fault, because they had other jobs ahead of me and we had a very rainy fall so they kept getting pushed back, but it was just frustrating because my roof was leaking and I needed it done ASAP.  However, they were amazing at keeping me updated on the status of my job when I would call or email. Once they started work, the job was done in about a week (it's been five months; I don't remember exactly how long it took).  They were so incredibly thorough that even my incredibly nosy neighbor, who is constantly sitting in her front yard spying on the neighbors, mentioned that they did an amazing job.  That same neighbor, when I told her we were getting a metal roof, looked down on us and said "Is that even legal?" because she didn't think it would look good and was trying to convince us not to do it.  After it was done, she said it looks amazing compared to all of the other roofs in the neighborhood.  I'm slightly (okay, a lot) anal retentive, and a lot of minute little things that other people wouldn't even notice annoy the crap out of me, and once I notice them, I fixate on them.  There is not one thing about this roof that I have found a problem with.  No exaggeration, every single day when I drive up to our house I notice the screws on the roof, which are visible (they are meant to be), and I notice how perfectly straight across they are.  There is literally not a single screw out of line; trust me, if there was, I would have noticed it. Even after the fact, the company has been very responsive.  I emailed Renee, the office manager, several months after the roof was completed to request the wind mitigation documents so I could get homeowners insurance estimates (I honestly probably should have been sent the documents much sooner, but whatever, I wasn't in a hurry).  She had the documents and pictures mailed to me within a day or two, including an additional packet for our records. I would absolutely recommend this company to any of our friends or family who are interested in a metal roof.  The roof is insanely quiet, and a lot of times when it rains we can only tell if it is downpouring really hard or it's just a really loud storm.  I only wish they also did solar panels, since we would like to have some installed and with their service record we're sure they would do an excellent job (they did offer to come our for a free consultation whenever we do get solar panels, to make sure the solar panel company installs them onto our roof properly, which I thought was very good customer service). Update on 7/28/2015: We were shopping for new homeowners insurance and showed the insurance our wind mitigation form to get the wind mit credit.  Our insurance agent said that the wind mitigation options that were done on our house was the best she had ever seen (there are different levels of wind mitigation apparently, and all of ours were the highest).  Just one more reason why this company did a great job!

The Home Depot contractor, Lawrence Jones, was outstanding and the foreman and crew were amazing. I could not have been happier. I bought the best roof shingles and watched the entire process.

Recent Review: Good quoted price, money paid after job was completed. Initially job was explained fully, all licenses and insurance shown. I was contacted to advice when materials would be delivered and contacted to say when work would start. The workforce turned up on time and worked tirelessly until it got dark. They only stopped for 1 hour due to heavy rain but started again straight after. To replace a complete large shingle roof took less than 2 days. More than pleased with the outcome and workmanship. I would recommend to anyone.

Recent Review: .The owner of the company James Bell responded to my call for a bid very quickly, brought shingle samples and answered all of my questions regarding the process, how soon it could be done, how long it would take etc.  I found his office staff to be extremely helpful and used the internet to complete the necessary paperwork so the work permit could be obtained.  I knew before they started who would be supervising the job, the fact that the wind mitigation would be done by them, not an outside contractor which would have been an additional charge, and that they would add several new roof vents for better ventilation.  In spite of several rain delays the job was finished on time and I was very happy with the result.

Recent Review: I just had my roof replaced by Next Generation Roofing Contractors, LLC. This was just last week, in fact. ([*** Link removed ***] I have some updates to back up why I am so happy with them. 1) Communication was timely, professional and, most importantly, clear. No double-talk, no gotcha moments, and always willing to explain when I didn't understand the related jargon. 2) Materials they used were of much better quality than what other roofers were offering. I thought this was an industry standard, but not all materials are the same. They showed me how the materials used by the original builders were of lesser quality and why they were failing. Then explained how the new materials were of better quality and why they would make a difference. They also made sure to show me how the materials and process meets the 2019 constructions codes, which the other companies didn't even mention. We all know not to assume, so it was important to me that this was communicated. 3) Steve Mack, their sales representative, was very patient, especially when I started asking the all important "money questions". He sat with me and went over ever single line item to make sure everything was clear. He also took care of all necessary permits, which would have taken me weeks to figure out. Although most companies that I spoke to offered to do this, not all did, and this tells me how well established and licensed this company is. 4) Attention to details: I lost count of how many times Steve came to inspect the progress on this project. At least once per day from what I can tell. Then he was here to inspect all the areas once the project was done. He noticed some areas that he was not completely satisfied with, and made the necessary arrangements to have those areas made better. Some examples are: alignment of one of the metal pieces, cleanliness of the finished product, and especially safety, where he even sent an employee with a magnetic cart to pick up every last piece of metal debris (nails, etc) shingle material and tar paper so that the end result was not only aesthetically pleasing, but also safe. Then the company also sent another person to clean up all the little globs of tar left behind by the installers. Final step: They are sending a gutter company to replace the gutters. This is to ensure that the project is completed correctly and matches how a new roof installation should look after all this effort. I highly recommend Next Generation Roof Contractors, LLC ([*** Link removed ***] In my opinion, they did an excellent job. They worked with the insurance company and did the job for the price the Insurance told them and even helped me out with the deductible (hence why it cost me nothing out of pocket...) . Steve even went and found some other areas which needed repair around the house (Window screens, garage door, gutters, interior ceiling areas, etc) which were included in the insurance claim and are being fixed/repaired/replaced as I write this. If you are in need of roof repair, please don't open an insurance claim or sign anything with your insurance adjuster until you talk to the people at Next GRC.

Recent Review: Their estimator arrived promptly on the date and at the time specified and presented the estimate in professional manner..  He was affable, easy to converse with, and left a very favorable impression.  The estimate was acceptable and the job was awarded to Total Home.  The next contact was with their Production Manger, who scheduled the job and once the job began was the daily contact.  He, too, performed his service efficiently keeping me informed of what problem they were uncovering and the actions to be taken.  his crew worked diligently, appeared to be well experienced in what they did, and cleaned up the site at the end of each work day.  The job required 39 squares and four days for completion.  We are in our dry season and it maybe sometime before the roof is put to the test, however, I anticipate no problems and if a problem were to occur, I have every reason to expect that Total Home will stand behind its guarantee.
