1day kitchen and bath transformations
Recent Review: They were on time, but the finishing work was substandard. Acrylic overlay around tub and showers was good, but both shower doors were incorrectly installed. And the caulking had to be removed and completely reinstalled. Wrong color and sloppy, haphazard job. We spent hundreds of dollars to fix these things.

Recent Review: Overall, the service was great.  Kevin Adams was very quick to respond to my request for an estimate for remodeling and was very easy to work with.  I made several adjustments to the original plan and everything still went smoothly.  Our guest bath was completely gutted and redone.  I had severe water damage to the outside wall and the tile was leaking everywhere.  After rebuilding the outside wall and putting in new cement board, the subcontractor came in to the do the tile work. Heath Green was the tile installer and he is truly an artisan.   IT WAS AWESOME!  The tile was used as wainscoting and turned out super.  True craftsmanship was shown in this remodel.  Everyone truly cared about the finished product.  Originally, Kevin quoted new vanity cabinets (three of them) to be built and installed.  After shopping around a bit, I found that I could buy premade vanities and saved some money (these items are not included in the price I paid Kevin).  The subcontractor that did all the plumbing work was very easy to get along with and did a wonderful job.  We are planning to do some minor work to change countertops in the kitchen and another project to rebuild a shed to cover our well and Kevin is the only one I would trust to do the job and do it well.  Kevin's assistant, Mike, is the BEST.  He is ready to offer suggestions if you need some help and is a really great person to deal with.   Kevin understood that we were trying to save some money and were going to do a little of the work ourselves (which consisted of painting the main bathroom that was gutted and painting and installing some flooring in the master bath).  You can't go wrong using KL Adams for your remodeling job.

Dovi Windows and Doors
Recent Review: The installers cracked 3 tiles installing the shower doors. After 4 months I had mounting plates made and used another vender to install. The base plate on the OXO slider was not installed properly. Another vender shortened the screen door. It took months to resolve the problems. There were numerous un returned calls, no show appointments and unkept promises to resolve the issues. Complete disregard for customer service.

Recent Review: I had Rob come out and give an estimate on my master bath. His estimate was broken down very specifically so I knew exactly where every dollar was going. The allowance for things such as the tile were reasonable. Rob came to my house and spent a few hours with me one afternoon going over all the details of what I wanted and sent me to home depot with homework to finalize all decision. The project took about 3 months to jump start due to permitting issues but I couldn't be happier. My bathroom went from a bathroom with a jacuzzi that didn't have working jets, no toilet, linoleum flooring and a single sink to porcelain tile, frameless glass doors, pebble flooring, a new linen closet, granite counter tops.  Rob sent me an email every week letting me know the projected schedule for the coming week and was very responsive to emails. He was also very understanding when I changed my mind about my choices frequently. Everything I wanted in the bathroom I got. The guys that came were always pleasant and cleaned up after themselves (except their were a few cigarette butts in my driveway). The dumpster filled with all the trashed stuff didn't sit in my driveway longer than necessary. Rob did a walk through with me and made sure all my concerns were taken care of within a week. They even finished the job within the estimated 3 weeks. Only negative was getting calls from Tina less than a week after the job was completed asking when they could expect to receive the final payment.

BATH FITTER - BFU266
Recent Review: Superb service, neatness, and professionalism!  Old fiberglass fixtures were removed; the areas were framed, and the new enclosures were prepared on site.  Bath Fitter arrived at 8:30 and left and 5:30...both jobs completed without a glitch!  To be a fair, we had a sliding shower door system replaced with a walk-in shower in our former home nearly 15 years ago.  Home inspectors judged the unit to be in excellent condition this past August when we sold the house!  We most strongly recommend their products!

Recent Review: John did an phenomenal job, re-doing the tile in my shower.   I had a poor experience with a previous contractor, who did everything wrong.  John completely tore out all the tile from my shower and re-built if from the ground up -- literally.  His craftmanship was amazing.  He actually went above and beyond by creating a recess in the shower wall, so that we could place our shampoo, soap, etc.  As you can see from the pictures, his craftsmanship is grade A+.  I would certainly ask John to do more work in the future, and I am planning for him to come to our new home to re-model our master bath.   When he got to our home, I asked for him to also check out a leak we had with out toilet.  This turned out to be a big mess that was left over from a previous contractor.  John took on the extra work in stride -- he was able to re-mount my toilet and assure me that the mistakes made from a previous contractor would never happen with that toilet again .My wife and I are in love with our new shower, and that's why John will always be our shower/tile guy.

Scott Remodeling LLC
Recent Review: Paul Scott of Scott Remodeling, LLC was a superb find in New Smyrna Beach to remodel our 2BR/2Ba condo. We had a limited time to interview contractors, the last week in November, but Paul came right over and gave us a comprehensive estimate the next day. We contacted 4 contractors in total, 1 never showed up, it took the second 3 weeks to give us an initial bid and and the 3rd never sent a bid at all. I grew up in NSB and we are planning on returning as a partial retirement place. We live in New Jersey and the prospect of a long-distance renovation made us really anxious. Paul finalized the estimate, after contacting us to see if we had any questions. We had the option of ordering things ourselves and having them delivered or he would get them for us. Ordering online gave us a larger selection but mis-deliveries and wrong order fulfillment were things that we discovered, but Paul rolled with the punches. He's up on the latest technologies and we got almost daily texts and I-phone pics from him. It was actually better than being on-site the whole time. He said he appreciated that we were so responsive with this questions. If he had any question, we got a text and a pic. My wife and I are both designers and really fussy about things most folks don't even notice, but Paul put up with our many questions. He doesn't hesitate to make suggestions or tell us when he thought our decision wasn't wise, with the reasons. work began the first week of January and he was finished by the second week in February. We had a less than 2% over-run due to the vanities we ordered not having exact specs for the plumbers to rough-in and they arrived later than expected. His tile work is unbelievable, a true artist works for him. Simply said, he does what he says he will do, when he says he will do it and for what he told you it will cost...and with a sense of humor.

Their quote was eassy to read and outlined what was responsibility and what was theirs. We are extremely pleased with the work.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tony and Kevin and the professional way that Superior Craftsman operates. Before I called them, I had two or three other contractors out to look over the bathroom and provide estimates. One company never provided an estimate at all, another took three weeks and multiple trips and finally came back with a modest estimate and a written description. In contrast, Kevin and Tony returned with carefully drawn plans, a complete description, and two different estimates for two different options, within a week. When our original financing plans didn't work out and we decided we couldn't manage the remodel at all, Kevin offered to redesign to fit our new budget. He came back only a few days later with the new plans and an estimate that fit our reduced budget.  Due to our vacation timing and another job they were working on, our remodel got started a bit later than we had originally anticipated, but when they set the start date, they stuck to it. They were here and started to work the day they said they'd be here. Upon knocking out the old shower, they discovered considerable water damage and mold (previous builder had used NO waterproofing techniques at ALL - no liner, no green board, nothing). While cleaning this up and drying it out took time, it did not cost us one extra cent! I am fairly certain that our new shower is now the most sound room in the house (that's where I'm going in the next storm). The counter tops and cabinets they installed are high-quality...the kind where the drawers shut slowly and tightly, roll out smoothly. We have a linen closet where we used to have an unusable block of drywall and tile (you'd have to see the before/after pictures to conceive of this oddity). The tile floor is lovely and professionally done. The wall between the bedroom and the bathroom looks as if it has always been there - you can't even see where it joined the old wall at all. They went to great pains to match the door exactly to the door of the bedroom itself, even mixing different stains together to find the right color. Tony wasn't happy with the match after the first two coats and came back to give it a third coat.  The new lighting and new GFCIs make the entire room bright and functional (before, I had to nearly crawl across the countertop to reach the single, awkwardly placed outlet). Everything works - the toilet, sink, faucets, shower, etcetera... We did have one minor glitch (it wouldn't be a good story, otherwise). Something must have blocked one of the sewer pipes, which caused an unpleasant back up of the toilet into the shower...ick. However, we called Tony and he came over, at night, to check it out. The plumber arrived the next day and cleared up the problem (no additional cost to us). Lastly, the custom-made shower door and glass panel was installed, the final step. I took a shower in my new shower today - complete bliss. There is only one problem: my bathroom looks so nice that it makes the rest of my house seem pathetic. I'm saving up for the next remodel, already...
