Recent Review: Ok, this started out just to be a new paint job which would involve painting the whole house and trim.  But it grew to installation of siding, painting of trim (replacing trim as needed) new vinyl windows, a new deck and pergola?..and I am so glad it did!  Because it looks great!  It looks like a new house. Jeff had told me what a difference the siding would make.  I knew that was true as my house had three different types of siding on it but I could never imagine that I could afford it.  I was really surprised that, while it was almost twice the cost of painting, I could afford it and it made such a huge difference having all of the siding the same.  He also was able to do a mixture of wood trim with the siding to make it more affordable for me.  I could not imagine having a mixture of wood and vinyl, but the way they did it really, really looks good.  I also had some brick on the house that he painted and was able to match the paint color with the siding perfectly.  That is one of the things I like about Estes Remodeling is the great attention they pay to detail.  This was around $7,800. I also had three different kinds of windows on the front of the house (original to the house which was built in the 70s).  They needed replacing really bad.  They replaced them with View Point vinyl double pane windows. When I asked what I needed to do to prepare for them to replace them, they said, ?Wait, that is all?.  So that is all I did, they took down the curtains and blinds.  Removed the windows and replaced them, they did not even have to remove the trim.  I was so amazed at how they did that without breaking a single pane of glass! No mess, hardly any noise.  Then they replaced the blinds and curtains for me. Except for the fact they are new, they fit so well they look original to the house.  This was around $2,800. I had them replace an old porch with a new deck and pergola and stain the deck and pergola.  This was by far my favorite home improvement project this year (with the exception of having my brick fireplace tiled, which Estes Remodeling also did for me).  All I had to do was send Jeff a picture with what I had in mind.  He told me he could build a better one than that, and he absolutely did!  This was around $6,000. They make all of this look so easy.  Jeff says it is experience.  I think he has a magic wand somewhere in the back of his truck.

Recent Review: Zach came out to repair some wood trim that had pulled away from the second story roof line of my 1940's home.  I feared rotted trusses as the reason for the nails pulling out.  Zach answered the phone immediately when I called, set an appointment and arrived on time and worked quickly.  He didn't take advantage of my fears about the rotted wood and let me know that the trim just needed to be screwed in.  He also brought to my attention some more of the problems left over from when Quality Renovations remodeled the home last year.  We made arrangements for him to come fix those and he again arrived on time on the right date.  Not only did he fix those problems, but since he had a little extra time in the hour (pay by hour), he touched up some of the white trim around my doors.  He cleaned up after himself and you would never have known he was there except for the better condition of the house.

Recent Review: David and his assistant did a great job.  We did not do the job through Angie's List because when I called him to see if they can trim back limbs from house he advised that since house is multiple pitch roof would be $150-200 depending.  I asked him if we should do the $100 special and an adder and we both agreed simpler to just do a std priced job.  He said might could make it by Fri 12/18 but would let me know.  He was able to come out a day early and we coordinated that.  They got right on up roof, discovered loose trim and flashing around several dormers which they fixed, and replaced several pieces of shingle on the very top of roof.  They both also were able to trim back several live oak limbs that were brushing the top of roof.  He gave me an estimate on the remaining life of roof which sounded accurate based on  the actual age, and gave a rough estimate on replacement cost.  He was very honest on the cost of shingle type or metal roof, pros and cons of both.  I was very pleased with their work, professionalism and honesty.  He ended up charging the low end of the estimate ($150).

Recent Review: Again, everything looks great. Perfect. This is my first experience using Angie's List and I could be on the Angie's commercial after finding Mr. Braddock. In addition to providing all above mentioned services for a reasonable price; he performed them in a timely manner, and was additionally helpful to us (being new to the area) by recommending other local businesses and lending us some of his tools until our household goods were delivered.

Ben was very responsive and professional throughout our experience.  Communication was good--He returned our phone calls and emails promptly and courteously.  He was willing to perform both small tasks and more complex projects and was very accommodating to our requests, schedule, and budget.  The estimate he provided for materials and labor was reasonable and accurate, and the work was completed efficiently and in a timely manner by Ben and his accomplice.  We would use Christianson Construction again and recommend his services to others.
