Wanerka Electric
Recent Review: We have used Wanerka Electric in the past and knew what a great job they do.  This time James replaced a bathroom exhaust fan in a rental condo.  The condo is 35 years old, and it was the original fan. There was a bit of rewiring to do as well.  Nick had done some electrical work at our house last year which turned out really well.  We were happy to find that James also did a great job.  These guys get a lot of work from jobs that other electricians have done poorly. Do your self a favor and save yourself some money, call Wanerka 1st.

Recent Review: We tried for two days to get service (October 2015) and we were assured that they would come the next afternoon after we made two calls to the company. The co-owner called me to notify us that he would be here the next afternoon (day 3 of trying to get service).  He never showed up, so I called the company and canceled my request for service.  The co-owner called late in the day and said, "sorry for not keeping the appointment, I guess I threw an airball." We first used this company in July, 2015, in our new home.  The technician installed wall lamps, outlets and an exhaust fan over the stove. He did a good job and the rate was acceptable, Our bill was $630.07.  They never gave us a definite time that they would be there, and one day the technician never did show.  The work done was excellent, the technician was very professional, and I  endorse the excellent quality of their work.  .

Did not go well at all. the owner initially quoted $2500 to $2800 for the total job but then ended up charging me $4100. The lead electrician that was sent to my home  reported wrong hours to the owner and I was charged for them. When I brought it to the owners attention he confronted me and the employee about it. The employee would not admit to the difference in hours. I told the owner that I had text to prove the hour differences.  I provided text proof of hours and the owner did nothing to rectify the billing differences. He claims he did but  he did not. He just added additional hours so it looked as if he fixed the hour discrepancy. The employee admitted to me of working sick and less hours than what he submitted. The electricians installed a new exhaust fan in the bathroom during demo and did not secure it. It fell into the demo pile and was thrown away. The owner Bill charged me for another fan of $175. The lead electrician worked very slow and had to have some his work reworked by the helper. Between the hour discrepancy and the slow work due to being sick this cost me at least 6 hours worth of work. At $100 an hour that is $600. This is the worst service I have ever had from a skilled tradesman. In the end this owner definitely over charged me at least $775. Be very cautious if you use this company. Get quotes in writing and VERIFY every minute they are in your home.

I recently moved into my house and called Breakers twice for repair/renovation work. Both times I was given an appointment on the day and time I requested and the crews arrived promptly to the appointments. They completed the work professionally and cleaned up nicely when finished. I appreciated their recommendations when I wasn't sure how I wanted the configuration for the recessed lighting. It came out absolutely perfect. My house is older and has several add-ons which makes some renovations challenging. They always figure out how to get the job done! I highly recommend them and will definitely use them for any future electrical work.

I read all the good reviews previously. I don't know what happened to this company since then. Had thermometer moved on the wall. Had a fuse box updated. Lost power through the night and had no heat. No response after four calls. Finally Fletcher responded. Wire in fuse box not attached properly. Next appointment, wanted two exhaust fans installed. Husband took off work for a 9:30 appt. terry was a no show. When husband finally got ahold of him he yelled at my husband telling him he had no idea what HE was going through and said appt was for noon. He then proceeded to tell my husband he didn't need our business! My husband shelled out 1000 dollars in cash for the first round of shoddy work. No apologies ever received. Stay away from this business. It will save you major headaches
