AThe Grout Medic of West Palm Beach/Boca Raton/Ft.
The service was fantastic when it was done, it does look like it needs to be done again. When it was done it looked gorgeous.

AAdvanced Tile & Marble Installations Inc
Everything about this job was perfect. The time, effort and professionalism extended on this job was amazing. Every detail was seen to,they worked efficiently and cleaned up after the day was over. I would HIGHLY recommend Advance Tile and consider anyone who uses this company to be very fortunate. Old world craftsmanship and pride in doing an excellent job make this company A+ in my book. They are returning to tile my kitchen floor and am looking for other things I can have them tile! Wish every supplier I hired was like Krystoph from Advance tile

Whilst we were very happy with the stone installation, we were extremely unhappy with the wood floor. First of all, Lou mis-measured the floor and ran out of wood during the install setting the project on hold till more wood came in. He did pay for the extra wood, but to be honest we had to keep calling him as he did seem to want to drag his feet somewhat. Secondly the workmanship was shabby - there were gaps between the planks of wood, corners were not cut properly, nails were left sticking out.  Also, they left an unbelievable amount of adhesive residue on the floor which took myself two hours to remove with goof off. Since ProSource recommended Lou Scandurra, I went back to them to help me get my floor fixed.  Lou would not contact me again, despite repeated attempts to make him do so by ProSource.  ProSource tried to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing, but since their sales associate had recommended Lou in writing (by email), they were forced to help.  Also my threat to take my complaint to the web also seemed to help.  They paid for and got us a box of wood so the new contractor we found could replace some of the planks (Lou took all of the extra wood with him, leaving us with no spare).  They also cut us a check for the $300 the second contractor charged to fix the floor (North County Flooring - we were extremely happy with their work).  It took a very long time (several months) and much emailing on our part to get both the extra wood, and to get reimbursed for the extra work, but at least we got it eventually. I would not use Lou Scandurra again, and certainly would not recommend him to anyone else.

AGGL & Sons Construction, Inc.
Tearing down the old tile, they cleaned it out and poured a new bed for the shower.  At the same time they repaired the water damaged outer wall and perfectly matched the existing paint color.  The gutter, damaged since Hurricane Wilma, was replaced and painted.  The big task was re-tiling the bathroom.  The crew foreman, Greg, had recommended a natural stone color and carefully measured the various space dimensions, which, us being home repair novices, was invaluable when we went to Home Depot to purchase the tiling.  When time came to put the shower tiles in, the workman asked us if we wanted it in a diagonal pattern to contrast with the standard horizontal/vertical wall tile, which he didn't have to do--we appreciated being asked what our choice was. Our porch screens, shredded since Wilma three days after we had moved in Oct. '05, was replaced and for the first time in years we had a completely enclosed porch.  Today, three two weeks from the start of the job, GGL finished the tiling, sealed it against moisture and installed the shower fixtures and new toilet.  Frankly, the bathroom is beautiful and the nicest room in the house.  We plan to use GGL for our next big repair job.

AJ B MARBLE RESTORATION
We have an 8000 s.f. home with extensive stone and marble floors, baths, kitchen, etc. After eleven years the grouting in the most used areas was deteriorating, chipping, discolored, etc. Floors were dull and in some areas had really ground in dirt. We were very concerned about finding someone to bring everything back to new and to a level consistent with the quality of the home and furnishings. Our previous experiences were very disappointing, paying lots of money for superficial work and a lot of clean-up left up to us. We picked Jean's company, J.B. Marble Restoration, based upon Angie's list reviews. Though we've had consistent success using Angie's list, this was the best choice yet, by far. Jean responded promptly to our request for a quote. The price was consistent with the amount of work we wanted done. It was going to take him and his associate a full week to complete it all. He arranged his schedule to start the next week and showed up first thing on a Monday morning to get started.  They began with two large marble showers and made repairs and, when done, the showers looked better that the day they were new. They then removed and replaced all the grouting in the marble floors, then sealed and polished them. Once again, better than new and that is not an exaggeration. They then tackled the extensive natural stone floors throughout our house. They filled holes, washed, sealed and polished. The floors look amazing. They didn't look nearly this nice the day we moved into our home (which we paid many, many millions of dollars to build). Finally, we have a large marble island countertop. It was originally done with a dull, matte finish. We have always wished that the builder had used a polished stone top like all the other granite countertops in our kitchen. This one has suffered numerous stains from cooking, etc. Jean honed it so all the stains are gone; then he polished to a gleaming finish that it never had originally. It is drop-dead gorgeous and now makes the whole kitchen light up. Amazing! We have a lot of expensive, fragile and, in some cases, large and heavy pieces of furniture. They moved it all and then put it back in place when done. (It makes my back sore thinking about it.) They showed extreme care ensuring no damage happened. They covered all the pathways in our bedroom that would be used to get to the his and hers bathrooms with plastic. All the baseboards were protected with plastic. Drapes were suspended or placed in plastic bags so no cleaning liquids would mark them. I haven't seen any service provider take as much care to ensure that no collateral damage would occur from their work. Jean is a true artisan. He pointed out many things needing repair that our eye had not picked up and used techniques and materials that make a joke of the relative amateurs we'd had used in the past. He has 27 years experience working with stone and it's obvious he has been a good student. He showed us how some problems come about and what to do to avoid them. He instructed how to keep the floors and walls clean and glossy. He even brought us a large container of concentrated cleaner used by professionals and instructed how our housekeeper should use it to maintain the immaculate finish he created. He and his associate worked non-stop from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day including his coming back and working all day on Saturday to finish.  I am a perfectionist and Jean met my standard. Believe me, you will not regret hiring him in any way. Whatever your expectations, I assure you he will exceed them. You just don't find service people like this anymore.
