AChooi, Inc.
We are extremely happy with the work that Eugene did for us. The rooms look amazing! He really took his time to make sure every tile was installed with the highest standard. He was courteous, professional, and easy to work with. He really prides himself on the quality of the work and he did not disappoint here. We would definitely hire Eugene again for our next project.

AYour Neighborhood Handyman LLC
Jerry is very responsive and professional.  He answers all emails and provides updates via text message as well (e.g. "on my way").  After sending him a photo of the kitchen he came out promptly and provided an estimate.  We were very flexible with our schedule so there were no concerns about Jerry fitting us into his schedule.   Jerry arrived on time and pretty much worked straight through the day on the project.  He came back 2 days later to finish up and again arrived on time as promised and quickly finished up.  He cleaned up both days including wiping counters, floors, and the patio where he did all the cutting of tiles.  He brought enough drop cloths to protect our flooring and granite counters, which was most appreciated. The quality of his work was also excellent.  He worked with us on the design.  He's basically a "tell me what YOU want" kind of contractor and he accommodated one minor change in the project with no problem.  The backsplash came out perfect and really enhances our kitchen. We will definitely use Jerry again in the future and would recommend him to others as well.

ABRENNAN CONSTRUCTION
I found Len by using an online referral service. He was responsive, punctual and cost exactly as estimated. The demo was messy and Len left the work area a bit messy over a couple of days. However, the floor has turned out very nicely and it cost much less (40%) than a major flooring company in the area. I wanted a bit of a 'sheen' to the slate and Len sealed it but it didn't really have a sheen. I have since resealed it myself with a semigloss.

AJack Fritz Tile & Marble
Jack was the lowest of 3 bids but had an excellent rating on Angie's List. He was punctual and very professional.  He completed the work as scheduled and my backsplash is beautiful.  I should add that the backsplash included two framed patterns using various sized tiles that Jack had no difficulty completing.

Workers showed up on time every day and briefed my wife and I and the days tasks, and what was to be accomplished that day. At the end of the day they again briefed us on what was completed and what was scheduled for the next day. The amount we paid was for labor only, my wife and shopped, and purchased all of the decorative materials as far as tile, toilet, sink etc, which was perfect. We are completely satisfied with the outcome and would recommend them to anyone looking to remodel their bathroom. P.S. when we're ready we will hire them to remodel our kitchen.

AGasper Landscape Design & Construction
I have used Gasper in years past to provide an overall landscape design for my property.  I have not previously had them execute on their design as they are at the higher end of landscaper price ranges.  However I have seen the work that they do and know it of high quality.  Thus for this instance I executed a contract with them. I started discussing this project in Nov 2014 having set design appointments with John.  He was adept at understanding my vision for the project and marrying this up with materials that complimented my existing landscaping.  This was not your usual HP Henry fire pit but rather natural stone that would be cut to fit with blue stone patio.  He also helped guide me through selection of planting materials which matched my desire for color but that were more deer tolerant.  Buy the time I confirmed I had the funds for the project, their spring schedule was full.  As did not want this project to be done in dead of summer heat, they kicked this off in Sept 2015.  The crew arrived as scheduled and John was there to mark the space and provide supervisory direction for the install crew.  The putting green used the synthetic turf and like a large room to be carpeted had to be seamed down the middle of this 35 foot green.  The glue used to seam the turf overnight created a bulge in the turf that was both visible and would create issues with a ball rolling across it.  The install crew reported the matter to John who came out to inspect the issue.  Gasper together with the turf manufacturer determined that the entire turf material would be pulled up and replaced at no cost to me.  Gasper completed the project, laid sod around the apron of the green and planted grass seed in the disturbed lawn.  The project looks very nice.  I have enjoyed the fire pit on several occassions and look forward to the spring to see the plantings in bloom and to practice my putting.  Gasper is not the least expensive landscaper.  But you pay for their quality of product.  In this case, Gasper stood behind their work and corrected a major problem without any haggling needed on my part.  A lesser landscaper may have looked for an easier out to fix that seam issue.  I look forward to years of enjoying my fire pit and putting green knowing Gasper will stand behind their work product.

CA Champion Chimney & Masonry
My initial impression was that this was an honest company and I had dealt with them for chimney cleaning before.  I still feel they are honest, but that doesn't mean that you will get exactly what you need.  And it does not compensate for the lack of care and professionalism in my opinion.  I had had multiple conversations with them about what I want vs. what they recommended.  I just wanted to a couple of broken stone tiles to be replaced, but I was told that they do not do small repair jobs, they want to "do it right" and address all the stones and grout throughout the three steps I have.  I trusted them to do a good job, so I agreed.  But, then I was pushed into having sealant applied to the stone, although I said multiple times that I didn't necessarily want that.  In the end, I agreed to the larger job and the application of the sealant.  The day that the job was performed, I came home and from a distance the steps looked nice and refreshed, but when I looked more closely, I realized that all of the broken stone tiles I had asked to be replaced were put back on as they were and at several different places the steps were not even level, including right in front of my house where water would collect and form an ice sheet.  It became clear to me that they were not supervised at all.  Upon my complaint, one old half tile did get replaced with a newer haIf tile. But, since that was not addressing much, I asked to meet with the person who I had been talking to about this project, but he could not make time to do so.  So, eventually, I made an appointment saying I was staying home from work to be available to speak face to face and he never showed.  He is too busy to spend 15 minutes with the client - who he is forgetting is at least as busy as he is, but is making time for him.  I was very frustrated with his behavior, and now I was forced to explain via email how what I had asked for originally had not been done.  All I wanted was to have a couple of broken tiles to be replaced and placed evenly.  They did everything but what I wanted.  I was still hoping to work something out with them, but all I got was a proud, unapologetic and defensive dismissal.  Instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes and working with me on completing it to address what I wanted to have done in the first place, I was told that it would cost them too much and that they wouldn't do it.  The honest part comes here - they refunded the amount I had already paid them.  I wish it could have been different and instead of losing their whole commission on the job, they could take a smaller hit and take care of their customer.  The only problem is that this was a proud person with a negative attitude, so he chose his pride over the bottom line and customer satisfaction.  I find this capricious and unprofessional, but of course they have a right to give your money back and not do the job.  Consequently, I was back to where I started, with the crooked steps, and the old broken tiles, looking for another mason to do the job. Sorry, Champion.  I really did have a really good opinion of you, before this whole experience.  But, you left me very very unhappy.

Joe arrived about 15 minutes early and got right to work; he did a great job and was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to remove old stubborn stains within the grout between the stone tiles and was finished in about an hour. My kitchen floor has been restored back to it's earlier days; looks absolutely AMAZING!
