Recent Review: I bought their deal for 6 person-hours of labor. I told Bob, the owner, that I needed a small bathroom vanity installed (and the old one removed). He said that would probably take a little over 2 hrs (which would equal 2 people for 1 hour or 1 person for 2 hours. I told him that for the balance of the time (presuming that with 2 men it would take no more than 4 of the 6 person-hours) I had a leaky tub faucet, a ceiling patch that needed to be painted over, and other small tasks if there was time. An hour into the job they said they needed to get something at Home Depot, about 10 minutes away. They both went, and were gone for 45 minutes. About an hour later they said they needed another pipe and needed to go back to Home Depot. I offered to go so they could stay and work on the ceiling patch, but they said they didn't know they might need a sander so didn't have one with them. They again both went to HD for 45 minutes. When they left, after a total of TEN person-hours if you include the time they took for 2 HD runs, they didn't say anything about extra charges. I had given them $13 in cash for the part they needed, and they finished the job and left. I was disappointed that they spent the whole time only installing the vanity but understood they'd run into some obstacles. Two hours after they left, they showed up at my door with Bob, the owner, who was insisting that I owed him for 4 extra person-hours plus materials reimbursement. I pointed out that they hadn't said the time at HD would be added to the labor hours I'd already purchased, and that I'd offered to go to HD so they could stay and work. Bob said that I should've had the materials already so they wouldn't have had to go out. If they didn't know what pipes and valves they needed, how could they expect that I would know that?? My husband and I argued with Bob for some time, and he didn't directly answer our question of why both guys needed to go to HD, using our paid time, and why they had to do this twice instead of adequately assessing the job and needing only one store run. We ended up paying him the extra $145 he was requesting, because the argunent was clearly going nowhere, but we felt pretty scammed by the whole thing. I had expected to have to be home on my day off for 3 hours, but ended up having to stay home for 5 hours, and I'd chosen Rovase because of the $180 for 6 hours deal. We will not use this vendor again.

Recent Review: From beginning to end, my experience with Stone Masters was top notch. I went there, which is quite some distance from my home, because of their promotional granite package. Their package, unlike other companies closer to my home, includes patterned granite, not simply solid colors. I met with Karlene and told her I wanted to replace my kitchen counter tops and was considering the promotional granite package only. She did NOT try to upsell anything to me and I greatly appreciated that. She also helped me to envision another use for the extra granite I had, which resulted in the replacement of a bathroom vanity top too. Others equally important also involved in my project included the measurement team of Bubba and Trae, the installation team of Alfredo, Jesus, Alejandro, and last, but certainly not least, Joe, who did the replacement plumbing. I was SO impressed with the expertise and knowledge Bubba had regarding measurement practices. I had no idea how involved that was. Trae was right alongside Bubba assisting and keeping them on task and moving along. Both were super friendly and personable which makes interactions with people you don't know comfortable. The installation team was amazing. Again, I was so impressed. They were knowledgeable, quick, and answered all my questions. Alfredo in particular was very affable - such a nice person. Joe was one of the most pleasant and obviously experienced plumbers I've had the pleasure of working with. His explanations for what he did helped a non-plumbing person easily comprehend the updates. One other person whose name I don't have is the staff member (graphic person) who assisted me with review of the digital slab layout templates for my project. I would highly recommend spending the extra money on this service since you work with someone to match, as much as is possible, patterns in the granite cuts. My interaction with him was pleasant and educational as well. Polite is an adjective I'd also use to describe my interactions with all associated staff. Projects are as individual as those involved in them. For me, if I had to do it again (you never know!), I'd specifically request this group to work with. My kitchen counter tops and my bathroom vanity top look amazing! I've included a few pictures from my kitchen. One is a close up of the granite, since, from a distance, it looks very light and that is deceiving. It has flecks of copper color, which matches my existing back splash. My bathroom is still a work in progress and quite a construction mess so I didn't include pictures of that. Thank you to those at Stone Masters, mentioned here and behind the scenes, for a project well done. I also want to mention how informative their website and videos are. I appreciate being an educated consumer. I'm a very happy customer who longed for an updated kitchen look. Now I have that. Time to restain the cabinets now and my dream will be complete. :-)

Recent Review: Tom and Mike were quick to contact me and set up a time to give me an estimate.  I had purchased a plumbing "deal" through Angie's List so $200 of the final cost had already been paid before the work began.  Mike arrived on time and gave me estimates and replaced the flapper before he left.  Both Mike and Tom came back a week later to install the two faucets.  The faucet leaks are gone now and everything works and looks great.  I will definitely use them again.

Recent Review: There was a snafu with the appointment.  But Dan made up for it and fit me in on the originally scheduled day so I would not have to take an additional day off of work. He and his helper installed the vanity and even went to the store to get the correct part when I had purchased the wrong one. Very professional and did an excellent job. I would definitely use them in the future.

Purchased an AngiesList deal, $99 for $200 worth of plumbing services. The plumber came out to examine a leak in my bathroom vanity. He was very nice but reeked of smoke so badly I could barely sit near him. I quickly showed him the problem and left the room because I couldn't take the strong smoke smell. He was able to fix the leak in less than an hour, and that took up the entire $200 of services, which seemed quite high given the amount of time and level of job difficulty. My biggest issue, price aside, was the overwhelming odor of cigarette smoke. My living room and bathroom reeked of smoke for at least an hour after he left. I realize that people smoke, and while I may not and am probably more sensitive to the smell than others, I don't think any customer should have to be OK with tolerating that smell when receiving services from a professional company.

AFirst Class Home Renovations
I reached out to First Class Home Renovators to replace a bathroom faucet that had gone from an intermittent drip to an outright downpour! Enticed by the Big Deal, I made swift arrangements for what had been a five-day vexing issue. Frank responded to my email after-hours and we texted back and forth with coordinates for the next day. They were actually able to come earlier than initially projected. Unforeseen issues arose, given to the age and position of the sink. Brandon had to put in a little more legwork than the certificate called for, but the hourly charge applied and wasn't killer. I ran out and got the parts, and by the time I got back, he was able to pop it all together. Voila! A sink devoid of a drip! Water is back on and life has returned to normal! They were completely courteous and explained the process from the beginning to the end. Brandon cleaned up the trash behind him. I will definitely be adding them to my repair Rolodex for future work as they clearly met my Angie's List expectations!

ATOM CONNORS PLUMBING
Walked out into garage and stepped into a puddle. Looked up at the ceiling and wall and saw water damage and dripping from the ceiling. Found a pin-hole leak in a soft copper flex riser line in master bath vanity (fortunately above the garage). Called Tom and he was here in about 2 hours. Prompt, courteous and reasonably priced.

AKingsman Carpentry
I could not recommend Kingsman Carpentry more highly. Orlando has been a true pleasure to work with. All of the work has been excellent and anything less than excellent he was quick to resolve to my specific request without complaint! The prices are very fair and there are no hidden charges or extras or anything. He is extremely honest and dependable. He was willing to come during evening and weekend hours when I was in a real jam on timelines. He shows up when he says he will, gets everything done as promised, and is appreciative of the work. He is now my go-to guy for everything. He has put up a beautiful fence on my backyard, done major remodel work in my kitchen, some plumbing, some electrical, replaced the bathroom vanity, repainted, and repaired concrete, among other tasks. All done w/ a smile and great quality of work.
