Recent Review: Basement Inspection: Gary arrived exactly on time. He is wonderful individual. I didn't feel any pressure with what was described to me for my basement. We discussed all of my option. I was happy with my decision during and after I signed the proper papers. My install was scheduled that very day and in less than 2 weeks I have a new basement. Installation of the Sump Pump: My sump pump was installed without too much interruption to my family life. My basement looks amazing. The waterproofing material and chair rail looks great. It hadn't rained much since the installation, but I am confident that there will be no more problems in my basement with leaking.

Recent Review: I went out and contacted a few different vendors from Angie's List. Basement Pros was far and away the best. They immediately responded to my initial inquiry and had a sales guy to my door in just a few days. After comparing other quotes, Basement Pros easily beat the competition. They completed the job in one day, which was great for my schedule. Looking at all they did, I'm surprised in the quality and quickness for which they did it! I'm usually an advocate of you get what you pay for, but these guys really do a fantastic job at such a low price. I would recommend them to anyone in the area for basement waterproofing.
Recent Review: They were great from start to finish. The sales rep came to our home and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We felt immediately comfortable and we were able to get a quality estimate of what we needed done. Once the rep had drawn up a proposal of work required, we were sold. We had had a few other companies (who shall remain nameless) who completely ruined any chance of our business with scare-tactic presentations and strong-arm, high pressure attitudes.

Recent Review: Joe and his team did an excellent job. We had mold and water in our crawl space. They dug a french drain, placed a new sump pump and cleaned the mold and then "sprayed. Also looks like they "painted the walls" - which I believe is a mold barrier. I cannot believe how dry the crawl space is - the humid damp moldy smell is completely gone. Andy explained everything that the guys were doing and why they were doing it. Contractors were polite and courteous and very nice to my dog - who was berserk while they were here. Super easy guys to work with - they were on time and cleaned up at the end of each day!! We are so happy with the results.
Recent Review: We hired then to install an interior French drain and sump pump. We liked their plan, they did what they said they would, and they responded to our questions before, during and after the work was finished.
Andy came by on a Sunday when the company that actually did my basement waterproofing kept sending my emergency call to their voicemail. He was able to fix the sump pump on a rainy day so that it did it's job and kept my finished basement dry. I recommend going with a professional like Andy who is there for you when you most need help. Thanks Andy!

He was great. Showed up on time and dug right in. Instead of looking to add on fees, he fixed the problem.

He came and did an estimate. We set up a date for the next week. I was actually late getting home, but Tom waited for me. He came in and did the work faster then he said it would cost. Even fixed the toilet while he was here. Great job, price was just as he estimated. Even gave me a break on a sink. Would recommend. Very professional.

The first few contractors were pretty good. When our water heater went out, the contractor had to order the AHS water heater so we were without a water heater for a week. Could have had one the next day without AHS. They sometimes find a loophole not to cover service. The worst was our air conditioning when they told us it stopped working because there was no slab (had been working for the previous 5+ year). The contractor barely spoke English, filled the unit with freon then wanted to charge us when AHS wouldn't pay. It's cheaper to put aside the $$ you would pay annually plus the service fee. In the end we have spent less without them!!

Called company to come back out to fix sump pump. Person was very friendly and accommodating over the phone. Said he would send someone out there that day to repair the pump. He was unable to give me a time but would call me back. He called me back within 15 mins and said he had a plumber to do the repair and he would be there between a half hour to 45 mins. Plumber arrived an hour to a 1 and half later he said he was stuck in traffic. I asked if it would be the same price as I was quoted by the other plumber which was $650. These plumbers have a book/price list that tells them supposedly how much to charge a customer. He said could not figure out how the plumber came up with the charge. He ended up calling his boss and it was decided that the would honor the other plumber quote. I had a coupon that the other plumber gave me for 50 off of sump pump repair and they sent me a coupon for 30 off of any repair was only allowed to use one. Then the plumber said that he had to go for supplies and was gone about an hour. He came back with supplies and pump and proceeded to replace the pump he removed the cover off of old pump and said once he put in the new pump he could not put the cover back on because it would not fit so he left it open. After the replacement/ repair was completed he had me sign that the work order that the work was completed and a survey in which he stood over me like a centennial to make sure that I filled out the survey to his satisfaction. Well I must not have since I noticed the next day I had nails and screws left laying in my driveway along with muddy rags and debris from the repair.

My sump pump failed due to over working from snow melting. I called Ray at 8 am and he came by the same morning to replace the pump and the check valve. He also contacted his electrician for the outlet that surged from the sump pump failure.

I asked him more specific questions about the sump pump, but he was very brief with me and did not answer my questions fully. Before he left, he insisted that my basement was not finished when the first sump pump was installed and my contractor was the one that moved the plug. I bought my house with the basement finished, so this was completely untrue. He then said I must have had other contractors here that moved the plug. The only other contractors I had any where near the sump pump were from Horizon. I reminded him that I had a problem with this sump pump before and he was the one that came out. Shouldn't he have noticed the sump pump was plugged into the wrong outlet?

Generally, they did an excellent job. Punctual, helpful, and fairly priced. The town inspector said they had not attached a length of pipe securely enough to the wall, so I had to have them come back. However, they came back quickly and made the required changes without complaint.
