Recent Review: The job Tom did sounds simple, but it was anything but simple. To begin with, the turn off knobs in the kitchen were against the flooring of the area under the sink. So both of the valves had to be moved to a higher position. The hosing that came with the faucet was too short, so his assistant had to go to a hardware store in Seaford to get a longer piece of hosing. That was episode one. The bathroom faucet was problematic in that the pipe that led to the back of the sink (underneath) broke off as it was rusted through. No one could see this as it was on the other side of the wall. Needless to say, water was pouring out of the pipe! Tom had to turn off the water from the pumphouse location. He also had to cut out the drywall under the sink in order to access the broken pipe. The connection had rusted completely through and was ready to break even if we had not needed a new faucet. It was a very frustrating situation. He got everything fixed though, and we've had no problems at all. Both faucets are working fine! The shutters were another issue. Apparently whoever installed the original metal shutters had drilled too big of a hole and stuffed the hole with a dowel. So that created another problem.  Well, they all eventually got hung, look terrific, and we are so pleased with the new shutters and how they look. Tom arrived at our home at 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 22. He left here at 1 p.m. He came back on Monday to finish hanging the shutters which took a minimum of one hour. So he was here doing both jobs for over six hours. I think the price he charged for this work and his time was excellent.. We were also happy to find out he does woodwork. He showed us pictures of cabinets he had made for other customers, and they looked like something you'd see in a magazine. So we are contracting with him to build us cabinets for our "computer" room. We cannot wait to see them when they are done and installed! We also have many more projects lined up for him..... I recommend him 100%. He's punctual, and knows what he's doing, and is a great handyman!

Recent Review: I've been happy with Foxwells. I think they're honest, and in my experience they try to keep my expenses down. For instance, when my very old, difficult-to-access faucet was leaking, they gave me the option of tearing up the wall to replace it, or having them find replacement parts locally to rebuild it. It was much less expensive and made more sense to rebuild it, so I took that option.

Recent Review: Douglas responded promptly to my request for an estimate. His estimate was competetive and based on the reports on Angie's List I contracted him to do the work. He provided his license and insurance certificates before the work began. He and his crew started as promised and finished on time as well. We lost two days due to a storm that caused my basement to flood. Douglas helped me obtain a dumpster to throw out a lot of the items that got ruined in the flood plus he provided two men to help load the dumpster. This was over and above any responsiblity he had to perform. His men were all courteous and professional and did anything that was asked of them. I would highly recommend Douglas.
