Recent Review: Michael removed popcorn ceilings in 2200 square foot home. Every ceiling (exc 2 bathrooms) including closets had popcorn ceilings. When popcorn ceilings are applied, unfortunately there is little care used in finishing the drywall, since they are just covered up anyway. After removal of the popcorn ceilings, Michael finished the ceiling drywall, applying at least one layer of mud to each joint/tape. He then sanded every joint and the entire perimeter of every room before applying two coats of ceiling paint. The job required approx 9 days to complete. The finished ceilings are perfect. You cannot see any blemish or joints through the ceiling paint. Michael was always on the job when he said he would be. He is very conscientious and courteous. His rates are quite reasonable. We are very happy with his performance and will happily employ him again.
Recent Review: As I mentioned my house is 50 years old, that means the walls were not straight and there were lots of old nails etc. when the old popcorn painted drywall was taken down (now I know why they used popcorn back then!). Cornwell did a great job hanging and finishing the drywall and making everything look like a brand new house when it was done. I was also impressed with their ability to work well with the other contractors on the job (electrician etc.) to get things done even when things were crowded in here. Cornwell then did a great job painting and finishing, including patching and sanding the old trim work around the windows to make it also look like new. Rick Cornwell picked up his phone every time I called him with a question, showed up when he said he would, got the job done when he said he would, and was very helpful in suggesting paint colors. I would definitely use him again.

For insurance reasons, we were forced to phase the remodel of our offices so that we were able to continue operating our business during reconstruction. Larry and his team were very considerate in accommodating our need to keep at least one of our two bathrooms operational and some office areas operational while other areas were completed. They strove to not be any more intrusive into our business than absolutely necessary. The phasing of the project forced it to take longer than normal and Larry was fine with that. In fact after finishing phase one he worked around our schedule of moving in to the remodeled area so he could continue the project. The project came in within budget per Larry's estimate (which was lower than others) and the work was superb. Larry always pays great attention to detail and doesn't take shortcuts and seems to care about the finished product as much as we cared about the end result. I have used Larry numerous times in the past and will be my first choice in the future.

They did an EXCELLENT job. They arrived early and worked all day . Our garage is 25 years old and there were lots of pipes, wires, furnace and hot water heater to cut around. They also had to take our garage door openers down and put them back. All in all, I would highly recommend them.

Rick is a contractor worth waiting for. He and his assistant Raymond restored our laundry room and kitchen following a fire in the time he estimated and on budget. They were professional and friendly. I anticipate hiring them for future jobs.

When he initially did the job, it looked good and I was really happy. I don't remember the exact price, but I know I was happy with the price. However, recently, I have noticed the same issue is happening again. There is also a brown spot, and some leaking. I asked him to come back and look at it, but he never returned my calls.

Charlie did a great job! One of the drywall repairs needed a bit more attention and he returned and took care of it. Charlie worked in 100+ degree weather, never complained, and laid out drop cloths and protected other surfaces. He is polite, timely, and works efficiently and quickly. Even left us the remaining paint for any touch ups.

DC & C DRYWALL CONTRACTOR INC
Arrived on time, put down plastic to protect floors, worked for eight hours till bathroom was completely dry walled. I pointed out a bulge in the wall behind the door, they tried to fix it by added more mud but that didn't fix it. I went to their offices an told the people there the situation and told them of my dissatisfaction. They sent someone else the next day who repaired the bulge. That person showed me the problem the people before him had overlapped two pieces of dry wall which was causing the bulge. He repaired the problem. When it was time to put the base trim on, found that when I put the base trim next to the wall there was a gap of 1/2" between the wall and trim in a four foot section from the outside corner bead corner to the inside corner. I checked the other walls and found another wall the with the same amount of gap. I'm so frustrated I'm in the process of fixing the gaps myself and I will not call C&C Drywall again.
