Recent Review: Overall, George's Painting does quality work at a reasonable price and they are able to start projects very quickly. They were also flexible on start date. So if those are your priorities, I would definitely use them. However, be prepared to communicate largely by text and often have significant delays in hearing back from Anthony either in response to a question or a request for quote, for instance. In terms of punctuality, the painters did work over four different days. I had to meet them for two of the days as well as one day for the initial quote. They were on time for the quote (though complained about meeting at 5:30 PM, which seems reasonable for working adults!) and one of the working days, but not the other (and I had to get to work, so that was frustrating). In addition, while the painting began at 7 AM on a Saturday (ugh!), I had to wait for Anthony to arrive at 9 with the paint and to go over payment and other details, so I couldn't go home and go back to sleep. The next day, I expressly said that they should call my husband as my phone would be on silent, but they still called me. I also asked the first round of painting to call an hour before they were done, but they called when they were done, so unfortunately, they had to wait an hour. There were also a few things they said they'd do for us, that they didn't do (and I felt we tipped generously). After asking for one, they did do it and the other was just more trouble than it was worth (leaving the banister to the basement off as we planned to replace it - they put it back on). There was also a room that I wanted to match the paint color that was there and the previous owners had labeled a paint can as being for that room, but it wasn't. While that's certainly not the painters' fault or the company, it would have been nice for them to say as they started "that color doesn't match - are you sure this is the right one?" before painting the whole thing and then me having to pay again to repaint in a different color (as opposed to just having to pay for new paint and them getting it painted the color I wanted the first time). Again, not their fault per se (esp the painters who may not have known the story nor had great English), but would have been a nice thing to do knowing my preference to match the color in the room. It would have saved them time and me money. They gave me a very good price to repaint the room knowing I was unhappy and also removed very difficult wallpaper on the second go-round. So in summary, yes, I'd use them again. They do good work and are reasonably priced. But just prepare for some communications challenges.
