Recent Review: After 35 years, our bathroom needed remodeling. ?For a variety of reasons we decided to use an aging in place bathroom designer even though we are both still active and mobile. ?The design process was excellent, respectful of our time and our interests. ? Adjustments to the fixtures list?were made without extra cost to accommodate?our need for additional storage. Mr. Daniel, the overall project lead, is a certified aging in place specialist. ?His knowledge far exceeded ours and his recommendations were clearly more appropriate. ? ?His creativity?resulted in a bathroom that is far more spacious than the old one even though the square footage is the same. The?workmen started on time and showed up every day until the project was finished. ?They cheerfully dealt with unexpected problems "behind the walls" ?and with timing changes due to changes in our schedules. ? Mr. Gabriel was in charge and he checked with me each day before and after he started work to ensure things were going as expected. ?The entire team was hardworking, cheerful, competent, and a pleasure to work with. The bathroom is gorgeous as well as highly functional, truly transformational. This experience was very different from those I've had in the past with other firms. ? I highly recommend this company.

Recent Review: It was very easy and pain free. We were given options, and we made selections based on our needs and uses. They converted our entire music library so that it can be easily accessed. They gave us an install date, and came and did all the work when scheduled. They are also very helpful, and easy to do business with. I can not say enough good things about them. Obviously, they were great the first time around, and even better the second.

Reviews in Naval Anacost Annex to Install Chair Lift
Don installed a Bruno chairlift in our house in early 2012. He had been recommended by a friend and I felt we got good value and excellent service. After a few days, there was a minor adjustment problem and he quickly came out and fixed it at no charge. Recently we had a problem with the charging contacts and he fixed that problem at what I felt was a very reasonable cost. Overall, I feel that Don provides excellent service at a quite reasonable price.

They did an excellent job. In fact I'm probably going to be using them again to do some additional work on some stuff we looked at. Their specialty is handicap modifications to your house or whatever you'd have done. I got a a hold of them by calling the manufacturer of the Trusty Lift. They are in Canada where they make this product. The president of the company was basically here through the whole installation of everything. He coordinated the delivery from Canada, getting it off the truck here, getting it to the site and making sure the concrete was poured right. It was very impressive that he was here through the whole process. I give him 5 stars. Actually this was one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor. That's the reason we are going to do some fine touches in the spring. We run out of time to do some of this stuff because you shouldn't do concrete work in the winter. There are little touch ups on the concrete that have nothing to do with his work. I just needed it to look a little prettier so he told me he'd come back out and get it all squared away. What they did was fine, there's not a question there. I would give them a special award for a contractor. I've only done that once in the past so that's how well I think these people performed. His company deals with the whole thing, in other words, when they do something for you, they handle the permits you need, concrete work, the electric, the whole thing. This was a multi discipline area to get all of it done plus also the coordination with people from another country. I'm very pleased with what I got and it worked great.

Sol Construction LLC (Handypro of Washington DC Metropolitan) is the worst contracting company I have ever worked with. Ali Soltani, the man in charge of my disability installation, was incredibly rude, aggressive/belligerent, and unwilling to compromise. I would never work with this man/company again. When asking him a question, he left my house abruptly and in his car. He was unprofessional throughout the work and a money-grabber. He made a mistake while installing the stairlift, was unwilling to admit it - blaming me for HIS mistake, and wanted to charge me extra to uninstall the stair lift. Furthermore, he wanted me to buy another product and his manual labor (doubling the charges). This is no way to have customer service for a disabled, elderly person. Furthermore, when the work was inspected by the county, all of his work was failed - not passed due to being deemed unsafe. The outdoor lift does not work now either, not that I'd want to use it in this dangerous fashion. If you want to get yelled at, get overcharged, or deal with removal of products and bringing in another contracting company to fix mistakes, this is the place for you. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this company.

They came prepared with all the necessary parts for installation, were courteous and efficient, gave a little lesson in the use of the chairlift and returned the following week with a new remote, which they showed us how to use. The price seemed reasonable, considering that they provided about $375 in parts and other places I called charged around $600 just for the installation, and more for the parts.

We met the owner who surveyed the work needed and provided a bid promptly. The techs came when scheduled, worked diligently, and finished on time. The home was ready for our relative when she returned from the rehab facility.

Jeff Jacobs is an outstanding carpenter. He worked on my 1940s house to adapt it for the needs of my elderly relative. I also needed some other carpentry work done to make the house more livable. Jeff consistently offered very creative ideas that solved several challenges and difficulties with the house. His craftsmanship is stellar. He has high expectations of the quality of his work and excellence is the only standard he finds acceptable. He takes great pride in his work and the quality is superb. The cost for the amount of work he accomplished is very, very reasonable, especially considering the quality of his work and his years of experience.

My mom lives many states away in a VERY old mobile home. Her electricity was spotty, which was making me nervous. I called Mr Sparky and they went out to troubleshoot. Before Hollis left that day, he made some adjustments simply because some of the wires had melted TO THE WALLS and he didn’t feel comfortable leaving it as it was. He went back with an apprentice several days later to rewire and take care of the rest. My mom said Hollis and his apprentice were personable and thorough. She’s so excited to have working lights and heat and I’m more happy than I can say that she’s not going to burn down in her home. I cannot begin to convey the thanks I feel for you taking care of my mom, Mr Sparky (and Hollis, specifically).

TLC has done an amazing job in renovating our home. We wanted to remodel our family room, laundry room, master bath and add an elevator. We consulted with 2 architects and 2 other ?design build? firms who all claimed that the installation of an elevator without the building of an addition to the house could not be done. But TLC designed a way to do it within the existing footprint of the house. The elevator seems like it has always been part our home and complements TLC?s beautiful renovation of our family room, laundry room, master bath and closets. TLC also designed a new rear porch that is a major upgrade to our rear elevation. All the personnel, from the owner Bill Mallon to the tradesmen were polite, respectful, honest and professional. We are very pleased with the outcome of our project and highly recommend TLC as a company that is worthy of the highest recommendation of five stars!

The chair lift does not go up to the top step so the client has to step down to get in it. It is also very narrow and the client cannot fit in it. The lift on the deck has not work since it was installed. Mr. Ali Soltani had not made any attempt to resolve either issue. As an added note, this is paid for by the State of Maryland, so about $20,000 of our tax payer dollars are just wasted on equipment that is faulty and cannot be used.
