Christmas Electric Inc
Recent Review: Christmas Electric was a referral from a friend who have a year-round home on the waterfront. Steve Christmas and I walked around the cottage (12 rooms, 2.2 baths) and discussed what needed to be done. Being an uninsulated cottage on the waterfront takes its toll on fixtures, and some of the bx cable under the cottage was corroded and rusty and some of the wiring in the walls was faulty.  Some of the interior walls upstairs are single thickness beadboard, so some of the new work required surface mounted fixtures and wiremold.  We settled on a plan and an estimate, although I was fairly certain the plan would have to be flexible due to the nature of the job. Shortly after they started work Steve called with the first surprises - not unusual in a house of that vintage. Each time they encountered something unexpected they would call me and we would discuss how to proceed. I was very pleased with the way they inspected the whole system and recommended changes or upgrades as they encountered new issues. Ultimately the job was less extensive than I originally planned for, even though some additional work was added along the way. I now feel safe with the cottage's electrical system.
