Recent Review: Once we got a communication problem settled, I was not familiar with messaging through this website, I was able to arrange a service date.  The service was provided earlier than the setup time which was fine and the work done was great, completed in a little over an hour.  Our floor tile and grout look brand new again.  Would definitely use this service again in the future.

Recent Review: Kris is a polite person with a professional approach to cleaning, using all Naturally products which are much safer for our health. She takes pride in her work, especially paying attention to detail like dusting tops of fans and door moldings. Our house smells amazing after she has cleaned. I could not be happier with her work. From week to week she surprises us with different scents, like lavender and peppermint just to list a few.

Recent Review: I was just speechless when I saw what Fabulous Five Star did with my home! I am extremely pleased with the quality of their service. From my initial contact for a quote until the end of the workday, it was obvious that the owners are committed to providing an exceptional service with professionalism and extraordinary attention to detail. Tina took the time to go through the home and tell me exactly what they would do and what I could expect. She didn't miss a thing, and even when the work was done, I realized that they had accomplished far more than I had anticipated (or thought possible). They were very good with the household pets and were sensitive to my preferences for cleaning products, etc. I am impressed by how much attention was given to the details and by how hard they worked to make my home look it's best. Tina and her folks really take pride in their work and it seems that they are very invested in doing phenomenal work.

Recent Review: Details of the work:  Demo and removed all of the existing bath, shower and floor tile, glass enclosure, and vanity countertop. Removed toilet, vanity, vanity fixtures and bathroom door for later reuse/re-install at end of job. Removal of subfloor, tile backers, and replace water-damaged wood framing. Install overhead shower rainhead, diverter and other plumbing fixtures to create dual rainhead, handheld shower system. Pour a new mud pan for shower floor. Install Kerdi-Schluter system (drain, membrane, dual shower niche) to cover and waterproof entire shower area and adjoin corner tub. Replace sheetrock, and tape, coat and sand joints. Re-tile with higher grade porcelain tile for shower wall and shower floor, bathroom floor and tub surround, and grout tile with epoxy grout. Install overhead shower lighting with recessed LEDs. Install new custom, frameless glass enclosure for shower stall. Install new quartz vanity top. Replace trim and paint trim and walls.   Dave and his crew were reliable, friendly and very communicative in informing us regarding the various staging of the work, its timing, and insuring all of our needs were met as the remodeling process was ongoing.  Dave even was kind to teach us specifics of how the work was conducted and "do's and don'ts of various stages of the remodeling process. This was greatly appreciated as the remodel job was necessary to fix and undo a bad shower installation from when we originally built the house. He showed us where the previous contractors made mistakes or used acceptable but inferior materials. We absolutely love the finished product, which took approximately 2.5 months from start to finish. We will certainly call on Tetlow Builders again in the future for our remodeling/contractor needs.

Recent Review: They are a small company with a good work ethic.  The owner (David Dahlman) provided me with a written quote of exactly what would be done and the installer (John) did exactly what they said they would do.  When the installer (John) got the flu two days before my installation I was called and notified immediately that there would be a delay due to the previous job being delayed.  I was called several times to verify when the work would be done.  John showed up exactly when he said he would, did a very professional job and cleaned up when done.  The owner came by half way through to make sure that I was satisfied with the work being done.  I was very pleased with the end product.  My only negative would be the fact that they will only install, and guarantee, tiles that they provide.  I found their selection limited but I was able to find something very close to what I was looking for.

FMYSTIC COASTAL FLOORING
Horrible, just horrible. Al and the staff were all very accommodating and pleasant during the selection of tile and scheduling. We selected glass tile from their showroom and paid the 50% deposit on the job. We were looking to do something with stainless steel behind the range/under vent hood and were not satisfied the cost or options presented to us by MCF. We were told by Al numerous times that he would install any tile we selected whether we purchased it from him or not and found stainless steel tile online manufactured in the US by a reputable manufacturer and scheduled the installation. The first day his crew showed up, didn't introduce them selves and went to work. Things were OK to this point despite the lack of professionalism. On the second day I could not be home when they finished but had a relative here in case they had any issues. They said they would be back "after lunch" to do the grouting. They showed up around 2:30 PM and started working. When I got home I looked at the job and the glass tiling was acceptable at best (messy grouting). The stainless steel had been installed using the wrong grout and the tile was scratched to the point of being permanently ruined. It looked like someone had taken coarse steel wool and worked over the tile. Additionally my GE Profile range had been damaged, the back cover bent and the control panel dislodged from the unit. There was a tear in our floor where the range had been forced into place. Note that my 110 lb wife and I had installed the range twice, by ourselves, without damaging any part of it, the floor or the surrounding cabinetry. I immediately called Al and he said he would be by the next day. I was out mowing the lawn, Al had let himself into my house and then found me in the back yard. I showed him the damage to the tile and the first thing out of his mouth was to the effect of "I'm not going to get into fixing this". He claimed the tile was defective, too soft and of poor quality. I knew this to be untrue and confirmed that with the vendor we purchased the tile from. He offered to purchase a metal polishing kit from Home Depot for me to use and told me to "Not lose any sleep" over it. At that point I indicated our conversation was over and he left. I did research to see if there was anything I could do short of replacing the tile and spent the next three days attempting to buff out the scratches as well as repairing my range and floor. The tile will never be 100% free of scratches and ultimately I'll replace it at some point in the future. Long story short, his crew used the wrong grout for installing stainless steel tile and he wasn't man enough to admit and fix the mistake, not to mention owning up to the damaged floor and appliance. Incidentally, we have found 3 pieces of glass around the house from sloppy cuts and glass tile damage. Our 5 year old daughter found the biggest one and brought it to us. I had to dig the other two out of my feet over the following two days.

I was extremely impressed with Robert. Not only did he come in with the lowest estimate of 3 estimates he was easy to work with. He was willing to bounce ideas back and forth and was willing to work with products and finishes I wanted whereas another contractor would only give me 5 choices of finishes to work with. I really felt my opinion was heard and that I was an integral part of the entire process. I am very happy with the finished product and will have his company back next year to redo my entire kitchen.

FCARO'S PAINTING & REMODELING LLC
He started the job close to 4 weeks late - after that a 3 week job went into over 5 weeks. He performed the sloppiest tile work on the wall tile, ruining all four walls and $1900 work of wall tile - I have learned since how much I was overcharged for the tile - and was not happy about that. At first I found the specialty tiles I ordered were not spaced properly so I made him rip out part of the top of the wall. On further inspection of the subway tiles on the wall - they were just slapped on - many areas on all 4 walls were not smooth with tiles sticking out unevenly. I had never had a remodel done before in my home and trusted him. When I confronted him on this - he did not see it as a bad job, would not give me a straight answer, amd he told me he had personally installed subway tile before citing all his great experience. I had to get other opinions - other contractors when they came to look told me it was not acceptible and unprofessional. So far 4 professionals have had the same opinion of his work. When I told him how I wanted things done - ie. the color grout - he came back with a different color. When I told him how I wanted the listellos and chair rail tiles done - he did it differently. He did not do the corners of the tile properly, putting in slivers because he did not meaure properly and he did not use bullnose tile where it was needed - all in all the job was amateur. I could have probably done it better. He did not clean up the mess in my garage - which I ended up doing twice. Plus he left smudge marks on some of my walls which I will end up repainting. There were at least 2 days where no one showed up and I was not told in advance, as he started the job close to 4 weeks late I did not want further delays and did not expect this. When he told me he scheduled his subcontracters to come at times the time/day they showed up was different and he did not tell me. I have to give him credit for a few things - he was able to gut the original bathroom, he did some crown molding which turned out nice, the paint job he did turned out OK, and the floor tile looks good. The happiest I was, was with the people he hired to do the electrical and plumbing work. I ended up firing him - luckily I did not pay him the full amount and he did refund me the cost of the tiles. He wanted to make it up to me - he said he'd prepare the wall and bring in a tile guy, which I questioned because he tells me he is so professional so why would he need one. I could not accept his offer to fix what he claimed were and quot;myand quot; issues. I did not want any more aggravation and he never saw anything wrong with what he had done - he kept saying he was a professional, trained by one of the best with over 10 years experience. I am having someone come in to fix the mess he made which will include, moving all the fixtures, taking down all four walls of tile and redoing it all. This is going to be costly and I have to live with this until someone else has time to do the job. I think the pictures I attached speak for themself. This turned out to be a mess - I found he was not paying attention to what he was doing at all. For me a good part of the experience with him was frustrating - there were nights when I lost sleep. After shopping around more it was evident there were more reasonable prices for a bathroom remodel - in terms of thousands of dollars savings. If this is what you want - it's your choice.
