Recent Review: What a great experience! My current shower/tub is tan and i wanted it to be white. I was originally going to replace the fiberglass shower/tub unit to achieve this but based on the high cost to do this and the invasiveness of cutting out the old unit, installing a new one, plumbing, etc i decided to just refresh my existing unit (which was in good shape; i was only going to replace it to change the color) . I texted Ernest the photos and he got back to me with a quote - about 1/3 less than replacing the unit! I setup a date to do it; all very easy with Ernest. He arrived on time, put down clothes and taped up the bathroom. He was very courteous and very professional; i asked him a lot of questions and my impression is very positive; he knows his craft very well and takes pride in his work. The job took a few hours and when done he meticulously cleaned up and gathered all his equipment. The shower/tub looks fantastic and I am really glad i chose to resurface it versus taking it out and putting a new one in, especially when all i wanted to do was freshen it up and change the color. I would definitely hire Ernest again!

Recent Review: The job was delayed by a week because Darrell was sick.  He kept in touch to keep us updated on his progress, and began as soon as he was able.  He and his crew were prompt, courteous, and did excellent work.  In the interest of doing the best possible job Darrell added a step to the work, not specified in the written agreement, by putting  a skim coat on the floor prior to laying the tile.  All in all things went very well, and I'll surely call Darrell again if I need similar work done again.

I feel very lucky to have discovered Ernest. What a great service! His quote was accurate; he was very professional in sending the preparation details ahead of time; he arrived on time despite a long drive; he was able to repair the cracks in the tub so you wouldn't even know they were ever there; the job came out great. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. (P.S. It is helpful to schedule the job when outside doors and windows can be opened. )

FPaul the Plumber Inc
We knew there was a problem when we saw that the valve was significantly askew (not aligned perpendicular to the wall of the shower). It was the plumber who installed the new valve on his first visit. During the plumber's second and final visit, I pointed out that the valve was a askew and he seemed to dismiss my concern with an ambiguous response. Then, he struggled for about 45 minutes to attach the handle cover to the valve with some difficulty. Once the handle was attached, it was obviously askew, confirming that nothing had been done to straighten out the valve to which it was attached. At this point, he declared that he was finished and demanded payment. I told him that I would not pay him unless he straightened out the valve as I had requested at the beginning of his visit. He stated that he wasn't sure if he could improve it; however, he appears to have succeeded in straightening the valve handle after another ten minutes of work. We have not even taken a shower yet and are hoping there is no long-term problem.

APorcelain Glaze
Porcelain Glaze did a fantastic job.  Our project involved the removal of an old shower door enclosure, and Thomas did a great job patching the old holes -- you'd never know a door was there.  The tub/shower looks brand new, and we couldn't be happier with the results.

ARICHARDS PLUMBING & HEATING
His work was really good and he knew what he was doing with everything. I also like how efficient he was. They always returned my phone call which shows good communication skills. I can't really find anything to complain about with them.

The tub looks better than I'd hoped.  It's like a new tub without the hassle of ripping out the old and installing a new one.  Ernest was very professional, responded to my calls and emails in a timely manner and left everything clean and tidy.  He did an excellent job.  We are very pleased!

AThe Magic Handyman
Magic Handyman showed up on time with his wife to help him. I had bought the door to be replaced and he checked carefully to be sure it would be the correct one. (It was) This is an outside door and it is tied into the alarm system. He was immediately familiar with that and knew what to do in replacing the contacts etc. He went right to work. He explained to me this frame was more shallow than the one it replaced, so molding would be needed on the inside to finish it off, something that was not anticipated but he just took it in stride and finished it off. He also installed a new lock set. He cleaned the door when done taking off any marks. They cleaned up the area when done, leaving scraps etc all in one place for me to take to the local dump. I HIGHLY recommend Magic Handyman.
