I signed a contract with Go 2 Guy LLC.  We hired him to build a garage and a log cabin for us.  He started work and quickly was starting to run over budget.  We had a maximum price of 57,375, which he quickly ended up at 69,918.  When we realized this we brought it to his attention, and at this point the project was only half way completed.  As we were discussing this his foreman mentioned that he could finish the job for 8,000 in three weeks.  At this point we were 15 days over the time we were supposed to move in so i went with it.   After the three weeks went buy and the foreman (Gol Branson) hardly did any work, I contacted Mr. Nudendorf (owner of Go 2 Guy) asking him what is going on.  He said he would send more workers out but nobody ever showed up.  Every time I contacted him he always had an excuse as to why nobody was showing up. To this date, the job is still half way completed and he is refusing to take our phone calls.

It could not have gone better. We broke ground on April 17, 2017. As I write this review on Oct. 30, 2017, we expect to be moving in by mid November. We reside in CT, so it was crucial to have a contractor that we could fully trust. Jeff Tillinghast came highly recommended, rightfully so. He was attentive to our wishes. He hired excellent subcontractors. He was honest, and charged very reasonable rates. We feel lucky to have found Jeff.

It was pure h***. My house was in disarray for 2 years. It inconvenience me, my neighbors, and my family. He should not be allowed to build anything for anybody. He took my money and took advantage of my trusting nature. It is not right.

ADM Home Improvements
We have used Dana for a number of projects over the years including a large cedar deck, a new roof, replacement windows a complete kitchen remodel, and now a large addition. He is very honest and extremely conscientious. His prices are reasonable and his estimates accurate. He built the addition from the floor plan that my wife and I developed. He is extremely flexible and offered advice where appropriate. We discussed all changes before he did them including the cost if any, so there were no surprises at the final bill. Dana hires his own trades and tends to use small local contractors whose work he knows. We were very pleased with the quality of work performed by Dana, his employees and his subcontractors. The building inspector also commented several times on the high quality of his work.

AC & S GENERAL CONTRACTING LLC
Don Cucuro was a delight to work with.  He worked with me on drawing the plans and creating wonderful easy living space.  He was right within his estimate - delivering as close to as "on time" as materials I ordered allowed. We removed several walls, took the ceilings up to the rafters in some areas and repaired extensive termite damage. He worked with me on changes and solved some of the difficult roof design elements when we decided to go out into the old garage for additional living space.  This is the fifth home that I have done extensive renovations to and I can truly say that Don was the best contractor I have ever work with. He left the site as neat and clean as possible ,  sweeping up every week end. If you are thinking of building a home or doing a major renovation, I would highly recommend C& S General Contracting

We decided to remove a sagging porch from our house and replace it with a substantial addition: two stories plus a basement.  This involved digging a foundation, removing the back of the house, expanding the first floor, and putting in a bathroom and two bedrooms on the second floor.  We talked to three former customers of Tetlow Builders and toured their completed construction prior to beginning our project, so we knew we were in good hands - and indeed, this was one of the best construction experiences we've ever heard of. Dave Tetlow was involved from the beginning, and had good interactions with our architect; Dave's excellent suggestions resulted in some creative solutions to our particular issues of adding onto a pre-existing 1960s traditional Cape Cod home.  Dave and his team arrived every day promptly at 8 a.m., and the process went at a good pace - it was fun to come home every day and see what had happened.  They were very careful about keeping dust and dirt from invading the rest of the house (we lived there during construction), which we very much appreciated.  On a project of this size, naturally, there were a few unexpected issues (none due to Dave or his crew) which were efficiently resolved, and the work moved forward quickly. One thing that was particularly important to us, being new to construction projects, was Dave?s gentle recommendations when he felt that we might be making a decision we could regret.  One example:  in our added sunroom, we opted to use tile rather than hardwood flooring, to save money.  Dave urged us to reconsider, saying that he thought we?d really prefer wood in the long run.  We?re glad that we took his advice every time we look at the glowing floor that he installed. For our addition Dave engaged a number of subcontractors (foundation, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, roofing, gutters, shelving, etc.) whom he has worked with for years, all of whom were very experienced and did a fine job.  After one site inspection, the building inspector told us privately that we were fortunate to be working with Dave Tetlow, as his work quality, adherence to building codes, and integrity guaranteed that our project would be prosecuted skillfully, with no cutting of corners. Dave also recommended and works with a number of local stores for bathroom fixtures, cabinetry, carpets, etc.  All of these folks were great to work with in helping us select items for our addition. They were uniformly enthusiastic about dealing with Dave, whom they highly respect for his business ethics and quality installation of their products. We were very impressed with the fine work that Dave did himself; he does excellent carpentry, tiling, and finish work.  He put in several rooms' worth of hardwood floors, which are gorgeous, and his tiling in the bathrooms (floors and walls) was exquisite.  He built several bookcases and a window seat (with storage underneath it) for us, and did all the assembly and finish work on a long worktable and desk unit that we purchased at United Builders Supply (Westerly), all of which came out beautifully. Dave is a delightful person to work with:  he has a pleasant manner, extremely high integrity, and a great sense of humor.  We had no concerns at all in giving him a key to the house.  I was touched at one point when he carefully relocated our indoor cats to the basement when some workers needed to prop an outside door open while we were away.  We enjoyed dealing with him to the extent that we missed seeing him once the project was done.  Our construction was completed over a year ago.  Since that time, Dave?s work has been essentially problem-free.  One of our sliding closet doors recently settled a bit, and Dave squared it up immediately, refusing to take any payment for the work. We wholeheartedly recommend Tetlow Builders for projects large or small.  In fact, I carry a small stack of his business cards with me, so I can share them with friends who are in need of an honest, excellent, reasonably priced builder.

This project was a disaster from the start.  According to the contract, the job was supposed to be completed over the course of 30 days.  We were two weeks into that time frame before Mr. Woviotis even showed up to the work site, and nine months later it was still not completed.  There was not a single part of the contract that was done in accordance with local building codes or licensing regulations. The heating system was installed improperly and the pipes were run without the benefit of a licensed plumber.  We had no heat or hot water at all in the beginning, and only minimal hot water after he "fixed" it.  We had to call in a plumber to repair the work.  The chimney was left with gaping holes following the removal of the old furnace, instead of being repaired (as directed in the contract agreement), and drawing a terrible draft of cold air.  The holes in the wood floors from the former radiators were filled with wads of wood putty rather than being repaired with oak flooring. The windows were installed without any flashing or insulation (as required by contract agreement). Almost all of the window frames had been cut and installed improperly, some hadn't been replaced, and some were missing altogether. The painting jobs that were performed were sloppy and inadequate.  Only about half of the painting work was ever done at all, and the painting that he did was with the wrong colors and/or textures so it didn't match anything around it.  The contract called for primer and two coats of paint, while only one heavy coat was applied without the benefit of primer (uneven covering and drips resulted). There was no effort made to cover or protect my furniture until I discovered it and did it myself. The beam that was installed to provide support to the living room ceiling had no wall supports - it was essentially "floating" with no connecting beams, and had not been inspected prior to covering (as required by code).  Wall outlets and ceiling fixtures fell out when attempting to use them (an outlet fell out of the wall when we unplugged an appliance, and the recessed lighting fixtures fell out when we tried to replace blown bulbs).  He improperly and illegally installed wiring throughout the house without the training or licensing to do so.  He cut holes in the attic flooring to access wires and left the floor that way without informing anyone, causing a hazardous situation for anyone walking on it.  We actually discovered that he had driven a 4" screw through the middle of an electrical wire - cutting it down to the copper - and then covered it behind some sheet rock. None of the electrical work was performed with the benefit of a licensed electrician.  The new cast iron bath tub was left uncovered in the driveway for six weeks before installation, resulting in permanent staining and a voiding of the warranty.  The tub surround was not installed according to directions, resulting in a failure to function properly and again voiding the warranty.  Trash and construction debris have been left all around the exterior of my home as well as in the utility room, broken glass and nails were left in the driveway. He tried to cut cedar "shingles" out of trash pine shims and installed them around the exterior window frames - they neither fit, nor did they even come close to matching anything else.  Much of the failed and/or improper workmanship was performed in my absence while I was at work.  When questioned, he assured me that everything was being done according to code, and being inspected by the appropriate departments.  When the inadequacy of the work and the complete failure to have required inspections done was finally discovered, American General Building Services' contract was immediately terminated.  The entire job had to be restarted after more than nine months. A new contractor had to be brought in to correct the problems, which involved dismantling every aspect of the job and doing it all over again.  Now the job that was supposed to take 30 days is going into its' eleventh month!  Fortunately for me, the new contractor is doing a beautiful job and I will eventually get my home back again - only this time the heating system will work properly, the lighting and outlets will stay in place when used, the lode-bearing beam will actually be capable of bearing weight, and the bath tiles will stick to the walls.  This has truly been a nightmare for me and my family.  I would not recommend using this man/company for anything!!
