NORWICH POOL SVC LLC
Recent Review: My husband just died last year so it is particularly difficult to find people that do a good job and that aren't going to give me a hard time and charge me too much. One of the biggest problems I have had was with pool care, with opening and closing of the pool. I got this guy from up near Providence to come and close the pool last year and it looks like he messed up. I am not sure yet. I haven't diagnosed the problem. Norwich was very overpriced and very incompetent. They didn't want to do anything. They would diagnose things and then charge $150.00 and they said that if I wanted them to fix it, it would be $300.00. They were awful. The gentleman was very nice. They were very cautious. They wouldn't use some things like an electronic device that actually cleans the water and fills the microbes. They wouldn't use that because that was too farfetched for them. They wouldn't touch my fish pond. They were afraid that they would get sued. I have nothing good to say about them. I did not have them close the pool because I had had it with them by then. I was so appalled by their bills. I paid them over $1000.00 to begin with and then mid-summer when we had a meeting and I was thinking the bills were ridiculous, we settled on $1500.00 at that point so it was $1500.00 in addition to whatever they charged. They were very polite and very gentlemanly. In fact one of the guys that worked for them was more so. He even helped me do other things like opening the outdoor shower. They knew a lot about plumbing. The overall experience was negative because they seemed to be incompetent and they didn't show a degree of confidence because there were so many things that they didn't do or couldn't do and the fact that they grossly overcharged. What they did do they did pretty well, but they just wouldn't do everything. I would never use them. Most of the pools around here are pretty simple and it so happens that mine is quite complicated. Norwich Pools said that they had never seen a pool this complicated and they do professional pool for hotels and universities. It's a complicated pool with a lot of ins and outs and waterfalls.
