Recent Review: Tom provided a thourough inspection of the property, key areas; basement radon testing, electrical safety, structural assesment, chimney inspection, property drainage and signs of basement and crawl space flooding, termite & pest damage, roof and siding assesment. Tom is very knowledgable and isn't afraid to get dirty in basement and attic crawl spaces. Discovered boiler chimney didn't have liner, which due to high efficency furnace was eroding the Victorian era brick. Discovered many electical issues and some termite damage as well, which enabled me to negotiate with the seller for credit at closing. Tom is knowledgable on who the "right" contratcors for the job at hand are in the SECT area, and so far the contractors he has recommended have worked out well. Tom also provided suggestions and tips for DIY repairs. Strongly recommend Tom to inspect your home, particularly if it's an older one.

Recent Review: Jeremy was very detailed during his inspection and provided me with in the moment updates. The report was delivered to me timely and was carefully crafted. He's also been available for follow up questions with prompt response times.
Recent Review: I am a Realtor and have worked with Joel & Flint for years. Their integrity is without question Their abilities are top notch, I have been on both sides of transactions; when working for buyers they take the time to explain all of their work and systems in a new home, With sellers they are prompt, nice and neat again taking the time to explain their findings. I will keep working with them, In a business that has many newcomers, whom don't have near the experience as Precise Home Inspections they shine. I said their price is excellent and have a general idea what their fees are but they work with buyers and sellers of real estate as I do, so I am not the actual consumer of the service. I write this because they always go above and beyond to facilitate the transactions in a fair manner Protecting their customers always, so proper decisions may be made.
Stan was very thorough and informative. He really spent the time to explain all the system's in our future home. We'd absolutely hire him again.

ATiger Home & Building Inspections
After my first experience with a home inspection nine years ago, I really didn't see the point. I felt that many items were glossed over and it wasn't worth the cost. This time around, my wife and I were considering a property owned by a relocation company who had conducted their own inspection. The home had been vacant for eight months, so we decided to have our own inspection done for piece of mind with regards to the vacancy. I am so pleased that we went with Tiger. We were on vacation when our offer was accepted. It left us with only 2 days to conduct the inspection—Tiger setup it up for after the day we returned. The inspector was amazing—he thoroughly went through the house and took the time explaining what he was doing, the problems, the potential/future problems, and the solutions (electrical, plumbing, structure, land grade, termites/carpenter ants, +). In total, he spent 2 hours in the 2300 sq ft. home and identified a number of issues that needed to be addressed with estimates on when it would need to be done (immediate, a year, 5 years). It was definitely worth the money, and I will use Tiger in the future. Thank you very, very much!

AStill River Home Inspections, Inc.
Dan Jones, at Still River Home Inspections, is exceptional on numerous fronts. First, he is extremely knowledgeable about home inspection and thorough in his examination of houses; his experience and talent were clearly evident during inspection of the home. He is also an excellent and patient teacher; he very generously took time to explain his findings about the home as well as potential solutions for problems that he identified. During my time with him, I learned a lot about the house and about home repair and construction in general; he made it fun, too! We received a clear and extensive written report on the very same day as the inspection, with major, minor and safety issues delineated, and suggested solutions for redress. He also included many "for your information" items, such as locations of main shut-off valves and other helpful items that will no doubt save us time and trouble if there is ever any kind of issue with a home system; his report has been archived as a reference for future use. I have worked with numerous inspectors over my years of home ownership and Dan Jones is head and shoulders above anyone else with whom I've worked (and I've worked with several excellent inspectors). I recommend him highly, enthusiastically and without reservation.

ABEACON FINE HOME INSPECTIONS
We hired Tom for our home inspection in Madison. He was extremely prompt and professional the entire time and really took the care to inspect all that could be accessed in the house. He provides the report online and with photos of what he found, making the report and request generation extremely easy. He also provides a home owner's guide book designed for the first year of home ownership which will come in extremely handy. Due to the tight turn around for our inspection, Tom even coordinated with our realtor to set up the radon and water testing before our inspection date so to be able to give us a full report the day after the inspection. Although he may be a little more expensive (inspection $525, radon+water $325), he was completely worth it and gave us a little more leverage during the negotiation process as well as peace of mind.

DTiger Home & Building Inspections
I have had to update the initial rating of C to D as I have had no response from the agency and have now reported the company to the Better Business Bureau on 7/23 in hopes that they can assist me in resolving this issue. The company has yet to respond to the BBB complaint but does have until 8/7 to submit a response. Original post: Our inspector arrived on time and did do a very thorough inspection and found several structural issues. He went around all exterior areas of the home including the roof and windows. We specifically asked if the pitch of the roof was adequate for the newly installed architectural shingles and he responded absolutely, no problem. He did a thorough inspection of the interior as well as the basement. He spent several hours here and believed he did a thorough inspection job. However, after we moved in we discovered water leaks coming in from various places. I called the inspector in Feb 2013 to report the issue and he did come out with the owner, however I was not informed of their visit so was not able to speak to the owner. I had a very reputable roofer come out to assess the situation and they agreed the grade of the roof was not adequate for shingles but should be a flat membrane roof. I forwarded the reports and cover letter on Feb. 27th, 2013 to the inspector and he stated the owner would be in touch. I have still not received any response. I also reported that he failed to notice that the bathroom vent does not vent to the exterior of the home but actually vents into the attic. Again no response as of this day. These two issue in my opinion as well as the other roofer who came out to do the second inspection agreed that these two issues were very obvious and should not have been missed. To re-do this is now going to cost me 6,000. dollars.

ATiger Home & Building Inspections
Robert Dietz performed our home inspection. The only thing that seemed a bit unreasonable was the up-charge for the crawlspace, but he performed a thorough inspection of that area and did turn up one issue which made it worth while. Mr. Dietz was very professional and polite, he took the job seriously and did not rush. The report was complete and was delivered quickly by email (a clean .pdf- great for us as we keep a mostly paperless home/offce).

AThe Reilly Group LLC
The home inspection from J Reilly was thorough and the resulting report was comprehensive. J works with another team member - while he goes about the inspection, he reports back to the team member via radio so that his colleague can record the inspection results and create the report real-time. This certainly led to a timely report - we received it at the end of the inspection. However, at times during the inspection, I did feel that J's explanations to me, or time spent might have been slightly rushed as he was constantly communicating back and forth with the colleague on the radio. J's speaks in layman's terms, so you can clearly understand what the results are. The final report provides results in meaningful categories: - Major repair - Minor repair - Safety Issue - Needs further investigation These categories helped us determine what the priority items were to bring back to home seller for address. A few cons from the experience: - J talks very fast, so you really need to listed closely! - J's colleague was not as thorough - I believe his name was Mark. He performed some of the interior inspection and missed a few items that I had found (rotting on a window casement and broken heat vent in one of the rooms). However, the overall experience was very positive, and J offers to come back to the house after repairs have been made to ensure they are thorough...a nice touch.

AHomeTeam Inspection Service-Hartford
Jerry showed up on time. He was friendly and polite. During the inspection he was very thorough in all areas of the home. He invited me to walk around with him and shared his comments with me as he inspected my new home. He also gave advise about items he would not address in his report. He took pictures of the areas he felt needed improving. He brought a ladder with him to use inside and outside the home. After he was completed he answered all the questions I had. His report was thorough and was ready by 10 am the next day. It also included the pictures he took. I would definitely use The Home Team again and would recommend them to my friends.

ADominion Risk Management
Martin Greenberg, the agent I worked with, is a real gem! He provided more than I could have hoped for-- technical expertise, professionalism, punctuality, job knowledge, compassion, and innovation when suggesting improvements. Although his company is in New York, he provided excellent service to me in Connecticut. Do not hesitate to use this provider.

APremier home inspection, LLC
i called the business and the owner answered the phone without me having to leave a voicemail.( this is good because i originally had called a different company and they never responded to either voicemail or email. ) . I spoke to the owner James Enowitch he was a very pleasant person from start to finish. He thoroughly explained the inspection process from start to finish and asked first if i wanted any of the extras that were not included in the standard inspection (e.g. well water flow and radon). He also explained that ishould ask a septic person to inpect the system since that was not a part of his inspection (which i did and am glad i did). I scheduled the inspection for Monday at 1:30p when i arrved at the house James was there and had already done an exterior inspection and a well flow test. During the inspection he took his time to answer every question, took pictures of every potential issue and was not in a rush to move on. The next day i received an email copy of the report in detail with pictures and recommendations. A very pleasant experience. Highly recommend
