Recent Review: Replacing a home furnace is a major investment and, as such, a somewhat stressful process. But Ductworks was a great company to work with every step of the way. The owner himself came out to quote the job, which I received in writing within two days after his visit. I had two other companies come out to quote the project for the sake of comparison. One was several thousand dollars more and included unnecessary duct replacement work. The other company never did get back to me with a quote, despite my follow up phone call and his promises that he would get me something "by the end of the week." In short, Ductworks was the clear favorite of the three. Ductworks showed up as scheduled to install the new furnace and air conditioner. The install took the better part of the day and hit a slight snag when there was an unanticipated electrical issue with the AC. But the issue never became my problem--or my additional expense. The owner returned to our house to see how the job was progressing and better understand the nature of the concern. It was resolved the next day and we were fully up and running. The Ductworks team removed the old furnace and left the area cleaner than they found it. They carefully explained proper use and maintenance of our new equipment before leaving. A year later, we had a minor issue with the central humidifier leaking. Ductworks came the day after my service call and fixed the problem at no cost. Side note: Our job was complicated by the fact that we were financing the work through CHIF (Connecticut Housing Investment Fund), so there was an inordinate amount of paperwork involved. But the office staff was super well-informed and helpful in working with me on it all. In fact, one of the things I've been most impressed by is how quickly calls are returned and help sent when needed. I really can't say enough good things about how responsive Ductworks is! That level of customer service is hard to come by these days.
