Great product.  Quick quote.  Installed fencing for me in the past.  Very professional.

DLUTHER FENCE, Inc
Not as planned, First, they ordered wrong color and of course blamed the manufacturer for mix up, delaying installation 3-4 weeks. Second, they had difficulty making a access door. Third, when Frost heaves lifted 3 posts out of ground, (Was told I wouldn’t have that problem) after 2 years, they haven’t shown up or contacted me after numerous calls and email with promises that Jon would get back to me. Very unprofessional...if you couldn’t be bothered, at least have Lisa, who was courteous and professional let me know you couldn’t be bothered. Should be noted, I installed a cheap wooden fence that never lifted up for 15 years and thought this would be a nice upgrade to vinyl. Should have read reviews closer and used somebody else.

ABARRY'S FENCE
We're thrilled with the results. I also had an estimate from Durham fence that was nearly identical, but just had a better feeling about Barry. He was very patient in listening to our needs and concerns (fence-jumping dog, keeping costs low) and offered a lot of good suggestions on how to get the most bang for our buck. I noticed a big difference in how he walked out the fence lines in the yard versus how the other company did it. Barry was very thorough, walked out exactly where we wanted to fence to go (and helped us decide on that part). The other guy didn't even set foot into the woods they'd have to cut through a bit. I just felt like we were more likely to get what we were expecting with Barry's Fence. The estimate was done in early February, and the original plan was to start work by mid-Feb (something like 2/20). Well, a huge snowstorm came, and then the snow just never left. Our contact with him dropped off a bit during that time, and he had mentioned that the ground should be a certain temp for the concrete to set well. We waited out the weather, touching base now and then. A few times it took a couple of days to get back to us through email, but I wouldn't call that "unresponsive" at all. I think every call and email was returned. When the snow was nearly gone and we had company coming into town and wanted to see if he could start and finish within a certain week, Barry made it happen. They didn't quite have the last gate up before our guests came with their dog, but Barry and his worker made sure to secure any openings over the weekend. They cleaned up really well, leveled out dirt, closed any small gaps in the link near the ground. Overall, I'd highly recommend Barry's Fence. They did a great job, and seem like they do care about the quality of their work and whether we were happy with the result. We've had fences built in other houses, and this was a better experience than those.

FWilson Fence & Renovation
The week of January 16th, Chris Wilson, working under the business name "Wilson Fence & Renovation" completed installing 23 fence posts and attached fence pieces to the fence. I had purchased all materials on our own prior to Mr. Wilson installing the fence, except for the cement and nails. I had purchased 3 1/2 inch screws which he refused to use. On February 8, 2012 five pieces of the fence fell down. I also noticed that many of the fence posts were not secure in the ground and are unstable. I also saw Mr. Wilson using nails of insufficient length to attach the fence pieces to the posts. When I offered him screws to use instead, he refused. I also have cement in my freshly planted grass due to Mr. Wilson and his crew spilling cement in the yard. As well as I had a hose reel broken that was used by Mr. Wilson and his crew. I contacted Mr. Wilson numerous times requesting him to come and fix the fence, with either no response back or being told that he would come out sometime during the week, which he never did come out. I started calling Mr. Wilson at the end of February to come out and fix the fence. I have text messages starting on March 4th, where I texted him a picture of the damage to the fence, and he replied that he would stop by that week, he never showed up. I offered him 3 1/2 inch screws via text message, and he replied that he "had everything" he needed. I sent him a text message again on March 21, which he replied he was in Denver. I sent him another text message on March 27th with no response. Again on April 5th I sent a text message asking when he would fix the fence, and he stated he would fix it that week, he never showed up. On April 12th I sent him a text message asking when he would be over, again I was told it would be that week, and again, he did not show up. On April 15th, I looked up his license number given on his website with the State of Connecticut eLicensing website, and noticed his license was in the "Lapsed" state (elicense.ct.gov).  I have been very disappointed with the customer service as I keep being told that he will come by to make repairs he has not once shown up.

AR H Lee
Mr. Lee is my go-to man for anything that goes wrong with the house.  His ad in the Shoreline Times says he can do most anything, and that's very accurate as you can see by the variety of things he has done for me. His work is consistently top-notch.  He gives accurate, detailed estimates and sticks with them.  He has worked within the confines of a stated budget and within insurance estimates for repairs.  He is an easy person with whom to discuss a job and he always seems to have great ideas.  The elaborate wall built-ins were clearly detailed in computerized drawings before work began.  What I really admire is Mr. Lee's tenacity:  He sticks with the problem until he solves it.  Moreover, he stays on the job until it's done, not leaving in the middle to work another job.  When the Lees work in the house, the debris is cleaned up every day and the house and/or yard is left impeccably neat upon completion.  I would not hesitate to recommend Robert and Laura Lee for any job.  I, myself, have used them repeatedly and will certainly do so again.
