Mull Brothers gave us an estimate on installation of central air conditioner in our old home.  Their price was slightly higher than some competitors (although not by very much), so we didn't end up using them.  However, I was very impressed with Mr. Mull's visit.  He was knowledgeable and thorough, and gave me great information without using any high-pressure sales tactics.  I will probably contact them again in the future for my next project.

I hired this company because they were the only one with a technician available. Their technician assessed the problem, said the unit needed a new capacitor. With installation the new capacitor would cost about $700. I paid for this. However, the unit still did not work. The technician said that the compressor was no longer working, although he said it had been working before he'd changed capacitors. He suggested it might need to cool down and offered to stand by the unit with a hose on it, to cool it down, though that would cost me $150/hour. I declined. My regular air conditioner repair person (who had given me the first available slot, 2 days after the unit broke down) came as scheduled -- my plan was to have him assess the compressor. However, he noted that there was a wire that had been left disconnected from the new capacitor, which he told me was the most expensive and elaborate model available.. He connected it, the compressor started up, and the unit has worked perfectly ever since. Unfortunately, it would not have been economical because of labor costs to replace the capacitor again with a less expensive model. So I was stuck with a solid gold capacitor!

The person who scheduled my appointment was friendly and professional. She emailed me a photo of the service tech assigned the job, which I think is an excellent idea. He arrived on time, was very courteous, careful not to track dirt into the house, and was responsive to my questions and concerns. He didn't try to sell me parts I don't need. He did a thorough cleaning and I'm very satisfied with the work. The cost was reasonable. I will definitely use Douglas Mechanical again.

Had Viglione clean the evaporator coils and air handler of an 18-year old central air conditioner. Scheduled appointment 9 days in advance and was given 4 hour window (9 AM - 1PM). Contractor arrived at 3:35 PM and made no mention of lateness. Dispatch claimed to have left a phone message but I didn't receive any message. 6/9/11 was a sweltering hot day, perhaps there was a rash of and quot;emergencyand quot; calls and our routine maintenance became a lower priority. The contractor cleaned coils and checked and resealed unit as requested; the work does seem to have reduced mild odors from unit as anticipated. Took longer than I estimated to perform and thus cost slightly more than I expected, but overall I am reasonably happy with the job. Willing to accept that tardiness was due to spike in A/C calls on a very hot day and lack of phone call due to miscommunication. Overall quality of work seems good, might contact them in the future, but would consider others.

My husband and I replaced the capacitor on our air conditioner, and were unsure of where one (and only one) of the wires should go. We had watched many, many YouTube videos, and only took off one wire at a time while replacing it on the exact same model of the new capacitor. The one wire was not attached when we took off the cover, and thus were unsure. We attached it to two different terminals, and while the fan would run, we could tell the compressor could not kick on. We knew there was another part that was not getting "juice", but we weren't sure which one. We already pay a monthly fee to Climate Partners, and called them for service. It took three days for them to arrive. The service man did arrive at the time he said he would. I showed him what we had done, and knew there was only one wire we were unsure of for the capacitor. He excused himself to the truck because he said his previous client was a tough job. Came back out of the truck saying it was going to cost me $174 just to check the wiring we did and to run diagnostics. He found the same thing we did, that the compressor wasn't getting "juice". He then went inside and was insistent that the panel for the inside air handler was the problem. I knew that wasn't the case, but he proceeded to pursue this diagnostic assumption. I had gone down to my basement to retrieve a screwdriver, when I heard someone on the other end of his phone speaker tell him he had to go back outside and check every part to see if it was getting "juice". Once he completed that task (which should have been a first check), he came back into my house to tell me he had to replace a part. I made him show me which part, only to find that it was the contactor which I had already assumed was the culprit. When I got the bill, I was charged 1) the original $174 to attach one wire, 2) $225 for a part we found at Home Depot that cost $9.74, and 3) another $125 for "further diagnostics". It was obvious to me that the serviceman was not the sharpest knife in the drawer as he kept telling me it was his wife's birthday (probably told me 5 times). He was either having problems focusing, or my service was "on the job training". In either case, if a novice like me can figure this out, clearly someone trained in this trade should have been able to discern the problem sooner than 3 hours.

Recent Review: Tyler heating and AC was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Tom the salesman was helpful and responsive. The installation crew was punctual, clean, and took time to explain the entire system after the installation was completed. Cinda in the office was very helpful in coordinating things and less than a week after the install had all of my products registered for their warranties. And so far the new furnace and water heater work fantastically. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Recent Review: We were very pleased with Nutmeg.  They did not charge anything because they tried to fix it in September, so this one was free of charge.  They installed a new gas boiler for us and when the heat would not come on a year later they did not know the reason. They replaced a part and thought it could have been an air bubble. They were good about trying to track the problem down.

Recent Review: Tony, Keith and Richie arrived on time. They answered all my questions at the beginning of the installation and my questions as I checked on them. They were knowledgeable and performed the services that my husband and I agreed to. Tony made sure the A.C. was sending cold air our of the ducts before they left. They did not track any mud in, as the ground was a little soggy. I am very pleased with the service, from my contact with Gary, who answered my email in a timely manner and came to my condo to give me a detailed 5100.00explanation of what they could do and what we needed done. Very knowledgeable and professional. We will use their services for maintenance of our furnace and air conditioner.

Recent Review: called for service 7/15/2015. appointment was scheduled for 7/20/2015. Contact was very polite and professional. She called on 7/17/2015 and said tech was in the area and could come that day. I agreed. The tech (Mike) was very polite and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem and ordered an original equipment motor. He picked it up and returned within the hour. He installed the motor in a very neat and professional maner. and tested the unit to make sure it worked (it did).He then checked the air flow and the refrigerant level. My AC had never been serviced in 17 years over and above changing the filters and cleaning the pump and the drain lines. He then cleaned the very dirty compressor fins and checked the capacitor. I was extremely pleased with the tech's work and politeness. I would not hesitate to use Link again and would recommend them to anyone.
