Recent Review: They came out and spent the better part of the day here changing out light bulbs, caulking, weather stripping and installing flow restrictors in the faucets and showerhead. We've had a noticeable improvement in our heating bills this winter. A very nice group of people with a lot of knowledge about conservation. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Recent Review: Brian was very professional and did a great job on everything he worked on. My front railing was wobbly and he added a bracket so it’s like new. He worked out in the rain to adjust my motion light over the garage because it was only going on when you were in front of the garage door. My front door had a door knob that was ancient and had no key. It was hard to get the old one off and he bought a beautiful brushed brass one to install and the same one for my door in the rec room. They look beautiful!! I would highly recommend Brian Fialkoff from Valerie Spencer Interiors for anyone who needs a handyman!

Recent Review: Chris was here 3 days and on time every day. He worked continually - if he took a break I didn't see it, tho I did make him stop & have lunch. The tile backsplash is beautiful and perfectly done. Tho I probably drove him nuts when after applying grout to 1/5 of the wall, I wanted to change the color of the grout. He did so cheerfully! Chris is the ultimate professional and can do anything - and he is meticulous - vacuums up every day, leaving the place spotless and is extremely considerate of your posessions.I just can't say enough good things. He is a gem and I'm so glad I found him.

Recent Review: Ron and his team provided me with an energy audit and returned a week later to insulate my attic (1300 square feet) and install a roof-mounted ventilation fan that I had purchased prior to hiring Sky Property Services. The energy audit was a great idea because it qualified me for a rebate that paid for half of the cost of the insulation and because the audit team changed all of my light bulbs to the new ones, weather-stripped a few doors, and insulated a few hot water pipes. The audit was also paid for by the rebate, so I strongly recommend it. It took about 10 weeks to get the rebate. I am extremely happy with the fan installation and with the insulation. My house is so much cooler than it has been in the past. My July electricity bill was $35 less than last year, despite the rate hike and with the roof vent running at least 12 hours a day, because I am using so much less air conditioning. The SPS staff were all punctual, professional, and friendly. They also cleaned up after themselves. Pat, who works in the office and helped me with the rebate, was awesome!

Recent Review: We were very impressed with all of Adie's reviews on Angie's list, so we hired him two separate times during a three week period in December 2015 to do a few repair jobs at our home. The old aluminum threshold that is right underneath the bottom of the side door to our home recently became separated from the asphalt underneath it. About 40 years ago, one of the previous owners had originally installed the aluminum threshold right on top of the asphalt which is right outside of the door and is also part of the driveway. The original threshold was no longer at the same height as the floor on the inside. So even with the weather strip on the inside of the door, there was still a space between the bottom of the door and the threshold exposing a very small portion of the recently installed entryway carpet to the outside elements. We were very concerned about mold forming there and Adie agreed with us that unless the threshold was replaced and built up higher, the rain and snow would blow up against the entryway carpet and cause mold to form both on and under the carpet. So Adie removed the old metal threshold and built a small wooden step using pressure treated wood. It instantly raised the height of the threshold so that it was now the same height as the floor on the inside. He then installed flashing over the new wooden step and installed a new threshold on top of the step. Adie also reattached the vinyl siding on one side of the doorway which had become loose over the years. He also suggested that he replace the partially bent weather strip on the inside of the same door and we thought it was a good idea for extra protection too. Adie did a really great job on the entire area and we are both relieved that there is no longer even a small chance of any mold getting onto the new entryway carpet. Adie also hung a large, heavy, vintage wooden mirror with beveled glass trim onto the wall in our living room. The mirror was originally hung on the wall back in 1990 using the two metal hooks that were attached onto the back of the mirror. The mirror was then hung onto two other hooks which were hammered into the very thick wooden paneling. The paneling was removed last summer and it was replaced with sheet rock. Adie convinced us to let him attach a heavy duty metal wire in between the two metal hooks on the back of the mirror. He also doubled up the metal wire to give the mirror some much needed extra support because the mirror was now going to be hung on sheet rock instead of on thick wooden paneling. He also used three, large heavy duty picture/mirror hooks to hang the mirror instead of just the two smaller picture hooks that were used back in 1990. The three metal hooks and the heavy duty wire now give a lot more support to the mirror and also make it adjustable to both the left and the right. So once the mirror was back up on the wall, Adie helped us to center it perfectly. Thanks to Adie, our vintage mirror really looks great, now that it is back up where it belongs after having been in a storage room since last summer. Adie also removed and then realigned a small piece of wooden trim along the ceiling in our living room that did not line up with the other larger piece of trim, filled in two separate areas of the wood trim with compound where the ceiling trim was previously joined together improperly and also used compound to repair a broken piece of the trim. After that he repainted small portions of both the trim and the wall to exactly match the original colors and it looks perfect now. So if you are looking for a really great handyman to do all different types of repair jobs in your home, then Adie is the only handyman that you will ever need!

AThe Magic Handyman
Greg and Diane can do anything, I'm convinced. No one uses bronze weather stripping anymore, partly because it's a royal pain to install. Greg and Diane cheerfully replaced the weather stripping, did it right, and my door is sealing better than it has in years. I highly recommend the Magic Handyman as well as his magically handy partner!

He told me that he would be here at 9 am, he showed up at 9:30 am without a phone call explaining why he was late. He brought a helper with him that seal the air conditioner on the outside of the house and he did a wonderful drop. Mr. Garcia, the company owner, he did not weather strip the bedroom area. I went to bed that night and felt a draft. I looked and there was no weather stripping down there, so he missed that.

He was on time and the team was efficient -- did the usual that all energy audit providers do - replace lightbulbs, blower test, weather stripping and then try to sell you insulation or new energy efficient A/C. The problem was that the salesman gave us a template report afterwards (via email) that was totally incomplete. Even when my husband told him that it was incomplete and didn't address all our questions, we never heard from him again. I guess because we weren't interested in additional services, we weren't a valued customer.
