Recent Review: Brian Duncan and his team did an excellent job transforming dead space in my back yard into a beautiful patio. Brian was great to work with. He was responsive any time I tried to reach out, whether it was by phone, email or text, Brian always got back to me. Brian answered all my questions honestly and never tried to sell me anything extra or push me in a direction I didn't want to go. Brian used his experience to help design the patio and pick out the perfect color for the pavers to match our home. The quality of the work was top notch. Brian and his team were complete professionals. They worked long hours to get the job done as fast as they could without ever sacrificing the quality of the work. Even after the work was completed Brian continued to answer all my follow up questions. I would recommend HMD to anyone and I would use them again.

Recent Review: Recommend that anyone thinking about a paver patio installation project to at least speak with Angelo at Artistic Pavers. He gave us some great advice on design considerations, things we never would have considered. We did have a delay, due to manufacturing issues with the pavers we ordered, but Angelo worked diligently to secure the materials for us. His team did an outstanding job on the installation. We are very pleased with our new patio. I highly recommend Artistic Pavers to anyone considering a paver project.

Recent Review: This review is for two jobs Jimmy and his crew did for me - a repair on our front steps / stoop, and an installation of Cambridge pavers on our 500 sf yard out back. If you want the short version: yes, hire him. The first job was tearing out a crumbling stucco'd / step at the base of our stairs and stoop into our house. Within 48 hours of calling Jimmy, he had come by and taken a look and given me a rough verbal estimate. Within 24 hours of that, I had an e-mailed quote that broke down the scope of work. Aside from the professionalism and timeliness of the visit and quote, let me also point out that Jimmy also talked me down from a potentially much larger job (and larger payday for himself). I had been thinking that we'd have to tear out the entire set of five steps as well as our stoop and rebuild / repour the entire thing. Jimmy poked around, asked some questions, and explained to me what he thought the main problems that needed fixing were. In his professional opinion, we could probably salvage most of the existing steps, as well as addressing the key problems, by doing a very thorough repair job. I ended up agreeing with this and that's the route we took. It is a rare professional who will tell you that you don't need his services as much as you thought, but Jimmy did that for me on his first meeting. Huge plus mark in his favor. The job ended up going smoothly, and he and his crew finished it in a day. I've attached some photos at the end of the review. This was $2,100 and took one full day. It went so well that when it was over I asked Jimmy to take a look at the backyard area and give me a rough quote for doing the patio (for what it's worth, I think his rough quote ended up within 5-10% of his final, formal quote). The second job was rip out a previously terribly installed set of bricks, level and prep the area, and install an approximately 500 square foot paver patio. The work was complicated by the fact that I live in Hudson county, where houses butt right up against each other (no side yard or alley to get to my backyard), making getting access to the jobsite a real headache. We ended up temporarily taking down a fence / getting permission to use a neighboring yard for getting materials in and out. Jimmy was patient and flexible while we coordinated a time to do the work that worked for them, too. This job ended up costing $7,400 and took a few days. Everything was done on time and the schedule that Jimmy had laid out, and everything looked great when all was said and done. With both these jobs, Jimmy and his crew were organized, efficient, and on-time. Jimmy's communication was excellent when I asked for quotes or got in touch about scheduling. He was also proactive in reaching out to me whenever there was some kind of unique wrinkle that came up with the jobs. Every job has one or two of these, and it's nice when a contractor will take a moment to bring you up to speed on what they've found, how they're proceeding, and getting your OK if it's any kind of decision you might care about. Overall, highly recommend Jimmy and the rest of his team.

Recent Review: We initially contacted Pete over a year ago to design a hardscape and landscape plan for our newly constructed home. Our backyard was literally a blank canvas and we let Pete run with it. Our requirements were simple: a paver patio around the in-ground pool, a fire pit, a walkway from the front of the house to the back and landscaping to go around the patio and pathway. Over the course of the year leading up to the project Pete entertained every single of our ideas and thoughts. He responded to every one of our emails promptly and sat down with us multiple times to go over the latest revision of the plan. He put us in contact with several other trades which he didn't perform (tree removal, stump grinding, irrigation, etc), which was super helpful. The end result was nothing short of spectacular! Pete and his crew created an oasis in our backyard, and we couldn't be more thrilled! We have received so many compliments on both the patio and landscaping. His foreman (Manuel) is a true artisan and a master of his craft. Manuel and the rest of his crew showed up on time and worked very hard for the duration of the almost 3 week project. Pete was on site many times and made sure everything happened when it was supposed to. When he wasn't on site he was just a phone call or text message away (which he always responded to quickly). We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pete and Sacchitelli Landscape Concepts to anyone looking for paver or landscape work.

John Reda came over to look at the project in early June 2017, provided suggestions, agreed with our schedule to do the work in July, and committed to provide a written estimate with 1-2 weeks. Estimate was not provided. I contacted John, and after numerous unanswered emails, John indicated that he could not do the job per the July schedule. I informed him that our original July schedule had changed and job would be now be done in Sept-Oct. John advised that he could do the later schedule, and would provide a written estimate. Estimate never came and did not hear from him. In the end, we went with a Masonry contractor and we are very satisfied with the results.
