Recent Review: Same technican(owner's son) came to work on A/C who previously did worked on a furance mounted humidifier. He was on time ,professional and completed the work in a timely manner. He was very helpful concerning the condition of the 16 yr old A/C unit and the issues to be considered if the unit had to be replaced in the future.Did not push replacing the unit. As the rating shows I would highly recommend this buiness.

Recent Review: Had general service. Technician reported heat exchanger cracked. Firm provided estimates for replacement of furnace, etc. Subsequent 2nd and 3rd opinions by credible service companies found no problem with heat exchanger or furnace. This including the gas company which does not sell or install but tested for CO and found ZERO problem. False diagnosis by the company subject of this review.

Recent Review: Steve W is the best there is for service around. You may get oil a little cheaper but having the best tech and installer around is worth it. One call does it all especially when Steve is doing the work. The other techs are very good too as they have learned from Steve.

Recent Review: They also installed a central air system. They installed a heat exchanger. The price was excellent. The quality was good. He works with his son. There could have been more professionalism there. They had to come back a couple of times to fix a few small things. The price was phenomenal.

Recent Review: Their Technician Chris came to diagnose my gas furnace overheating issue (which recently caused the heat exchanger to break; that issue was previously covered/replaced by CNG) Chris clearly explained the problem to me and what needed to be done to remedy the issue. He troubleshot, made repairs, did verification testing and was done about 1hour! I would use them again.

Recent Review: You know the feeling you get when you finally find the right guy to hire for work on your equipment. Well that is how I felt when Jim Bridgewater finished up the long needed work on our facilities boilers. I've had many questionable experiences in the past with these "boiler" repair men that always had me searching for someone else to do the next job I needed done. Well my search is over. Bridgeworks is a family owned (and family worked) business. Honest, good quality work at a fair price, done by a knowledgeable professional (in my case the owner himself). No short cuts. No feeling that your being overcharged, or that your job is unimportant and being rushed. He spent 10 hours at our facility over two separate days never once appearing rushed to get the job done. If you've been searching for someone to do your heating repairs and maintenance, you can certainly cross that task off your list. I highly reccomend Bridgeworks Heating. Thank you to angieslist for pointing me in his direction.

Recent Review: From the initial sales call to completion of the job HARP employees were professional, very knowledgeable about there products, they listened to our thoughts and concerns. The cost came in middle of the pack of quotes, but they priced the top Consumer report HVAC unit, at the SEER level we wanted and tonage we wanted. The other companies quoting disregarded all we discussed. After a partial down payment we had our new unit and HW heater in less than a week. The technicians were prompt, spread CLEAN tarps from front door, up the stairs and into the area of the heat exchanger. They were friendly but focused, they involved us in decision making when they hit a small snag. All and all a very positive experience! I would highly recommend HARP to anyone.

Recent Review: They were professional in every sense of the word. They were also very kind and courteous, and treated my elderly mother with gentleness and care. Every effort was made to avoid stress and disruption to the household during repairs--which was particularly difficult to achieve during the severe winter of 2011. They took great care of my parents home, and left all work areas spotless and tidy. They truly went out of their way to help. It is a family owned business and that is evident in their customer interface and general follow through. From my very first communication when the owner immediately got on the phone to discuss the work that might be needed, through to all subsequent contacts with sales engineers and technicians. All my contacts were positive. Plus, the sales engineer made a follow up visit a couple of weeks after installation to make certain that all was working smoothly and to my satisfaction.

Recent Review: The installation went very well. The installers had to redo much of the original duct work in a small mechanicals closet. They intalled a new digital thermostat. Our tenant is very happy with the new furnace. He can keep the thermostat at least 10 degrees lower and get more heat than with the old furnace. The work men wore covers on their shoes to avoid tracking in any dirt. They took away the old furnace and cleaned up so well that it looked like they had never been there.  About 10 days later we had Tri-City come out and check out our other furnaces in the remaining two apartments. and a single family house which we also own. All of these furnaces were about 30 years old and would need some work to run more efficiently. We opted to replace them all at once.We spent an additional $10,716 for 2 forced  hot air gas furnaces and a hot water base board furnace. We were very pleased with the job done on the remainder of our properties . Everyone was courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to recomend Tri-City for anyone in need of a new Furnace or furnace repair. They also do hot water heaters and air conditioning. The customer service people are all very friendly and hepful if you should have any questions . I especially want to commend Don for the installation and Joe Mobilio for  checking out all the furnaces and finding a corroded conection that was leaking carbon monoxide into the basement. Something he immediately corrected. Don had a very positive attitude. He does not look at a job as having problems, but solutions. I find that to be a vey refeshing attitude. They definately have my confidence.

Overall I am happy with the service. The technician showed up on time and got right to work. I am a DYI person so I wanted to watch and ask questions so I could perform this work myself in the future. The technician had no issues with this and was happy to give me points, tips, etc. He was at the house for about an hour and a half. During that time he changed the oil tank filter, the nozzle on the burner, cleaned the heat exchanger and fire box, inspected everything and tuned it to ensure that it was running at peak efficiency. The technician was super friendly. Cost was $180 ($170 +$10 tax).

AHARP Home Services LLC
Called HARP on Friday 4/6, who my wife and I have used in the past, to obtain a quote on a furnace in a home we had just purchased. During the previous owners cleaning of the furnace it was found that the heat exchanger in the old furnace had cracked and was un-safe for use. Spoke with the sales rep and gave us a rough estimate to have the entire HVAC system replaced and setup a time to come out and take a look on 04/10. They came out measured and said what we were looking to do was not a problem, provided us with a better than expected quote which we accepted and he setup an installation date of 04/20. On 04/20 HARP mechanical crew and electrician (5-8 people) showed up on time within the window provided. The crew made every efforts possible to meet our wishes to have the vents installed behind/side of the house away from plain view. Despite some early doubts the crew was able to meet the request with minimal cutting to the basement ceiling. The crew worked pretty much non-stop through out the day (appx. 9 hours) taking the occasional break. All of the crew members were extremely respectful of our home and made certain to keep it clean as possible. Every member of the crew was very nice and engaged us in casual conversation and kept us informed of their progress. Upon completion the crew showed us their work, explained how the system worked and how to maintain it.  As was expected, we were very pleased with every aspect of HARP's service from the initial call to the time we wrote the check and will definitely being using their services again.

ANutmeg Mechanical Services Inc
Short story: they are great for quality and service.  They were not cheap, but they were competitive on price.  Read below for the long story. It is December, and we were having furnace problems, and a CNG repairman diagnosed a cracked heat exchanger and shutdown the furnace because of possible carbon monoxide issue ("red-tagged").  The furnace was 25 years old, so it was better to replace than to spend and estimated $1000 to repair. 1.  The estimate: It is a week before Christmas, and we are without heat.  We need to act quick!  Called 6 contractors for quotes, and got quotes from 4 (2 could not do the work immediately).  We made an appointment with Nutmeg for the same day our furnace was shutoff, and Quentin came right on schedule.  He was extremely fastidious collecting the technical details for the install, and very helpful explaining precisely what our options and limitations were.  Quentin was head and shoulders above all the others who came to give us a quote. Since our AC was also 25 years old and also not working great, we included that for replacement.  In case you do not know, there is cost savings to do the furnace and AC together, since you save on some money on the labor that is common. 2. The install: Quentin gave us a quote on a Thursday, we agreed on a price Friday morning, and he promised an install on Monday (two days before Christmas).  They prioritize no heat situations (as I expect all do).  Indeed, Monday came, and an install crew of 4 guys arrived around 7:45am.  They were very polite and efficient. They tore out the old furnace and AC, and had the new ones mostly installed by 2pm.  We put in a two zone system with a multistage 96% efficient furnace, and an AC with 16 SEER rating (both qualifying for efficiency rebates and tax credits, that Quentin helped with).  They also replaced the coolant lines, thermostats, and dampers for the zoning. The only minor glitch was connecting our existing house humidifier.  For some reason, the humidistat panel would not work when everything was re-connected.  They did not have a replacement panel on the truck, so we arranged for them to come back after Christmas.  They returned two days after Christmas with a new panel, and had it installed in about 45 minutes, with no additional charges. 3. The bottom line: everyone wants fast, quality, and cheap.  It is hard to get all three.  We feel we got fast and quality, and a competitive, but not cheap price.  For us, that was an acceptable trade off.   We are very happy with Nutmeg and would certainly reuse their service.
