During my wait on the ordering of the windows, my coworker was getting his windows installed in a house he just bought. They have a baby so the lead law and clean up was an essential part of the process. of course they went in later in the day and found lead chips under the windows, the new driveway had a truck tire rub were the truckturned his wheels, the wrong windows were installed, they had grids on top and bottom, but the homeowner did like that look so they werent charged for the extra grid. Window world sent out a cleaning crew to that house to clean all paint chips and mess. Window World of Ct. Overpromised and under performed. The install crew did their job well enough, but the sales and bosses promised all would be perfect, and of course it was not even close. If they would have just installed windows and nothinf else, that would have been fine. But stating that the job would be as clean when the crew left, we would change any rotted sill plates, which they did not, and that they had three days, which should have been plenty, and did not finish, and then to say that they would return next week is really inconvenient. I usally get three bids, and after the coworker said these guys were really nice i had them give me a proposal, their price started out the lowest but got higher as we wanted more options. the other contractors had everything included, and the prices ended up about the same. The windows themselves are better quality than a few other contractors, but the customer service was not good, and that I feel is as important if not more than the actual product they sell.
