ACornerstone Home Improvement
First time employing Steve and would not hesitate to do so again. We initially got estimates from two other contractors for a couple of relatively modest exterior home repair jobs- replacing our rotting french door to our deck and repair of exterior wood trim that was peeling and/or rotting. As always, it was a constant battle trying to get the contractors to call back, show up, or respond in any manner. We are so glad we found Steve and Cornerstone Home Improvement. His responses were immediate, his followup totally professional, and the quality of his work and his work ethic unimpeachable. If you want someone to do what they say they are going to do, show up when they say they are going to show up, work with you in an intelligent manner to plan and strategize about the most appropriate repair method, and then execute the job in a clean and competent manner that sticks to the agreed budget then Steve is the guy for you. I have a hard time recommending him highly enough. Not sure why it took 25 years living here and working with idiots before we latched onto him.

ACharter Painting & Restoration
Detailed proposal completed as agreed. Prompt, professional staff. My only complaint is the debris left on the ground from power washing as well as debris left inside gutters.

After 6 months everything peeled. Took him another 4 months come and "fix" it. After 6 months everything peeled again, gutters never worked right. Joe kept blaming problems on moisture and clogged gutters. He could never explain how paint can possibly peel in 6 months twice. After repeated no shows and a threat of a law suit, sent a another company to "fix" it. They ripped up the boards on the roof, compromised water protection and caused severe interior damage. Had to hire a new contractor to fix the roof and replace the gutters.

AGarcias Painting & Handyman Services
I was previously in the real estate profession and constantly dealt with repair people. Dennis is very professional. He is a sincere accomplished and honest individual. I trust him in my home, with my pets and with my kids. If he says he will do it, it will get done really well, and there will not be a mess when you get home. I hope that he isn't too busy to help me in the future. This man was so honest, that he refused to do one job, advised that I consult another professional, which saved me hundreds of dollars. He's a master of sheetrock repair, I mean NOT A MARK, YOU COULD NOT TELL THERE WAS EVER A HOLE! AND I HAVE A PRETTY PICKY EYE.

Always show up as promised. Very professional crew. Bathroom looks perfect,no issues. Custom vanity perfect fit, excellent tile work. Paint job was good, but needed some touch ups which the crew supervisor came back and spent several hours doing. Very responsive even after the job was paid. The electrician is a long term employee, did an excellent job , he even hung new light fixtures through the house as part of the painting job. One small job done for $200, was to fix trim around the garage doors, it was found that due to shoddy work before by a and quot;handymanand quot; the wood underneath was rotting, would have extended to the support beam for the second floor if not fixed, the wood was replaced, for a minimal extra cost. That was the only time the cost was more than the written estimate.

Dennis and his team were very professional, courteous and always punctual. They made a point to clean up after each day and once the job was done the job looked professionally done and it was cleaned up well. I felt Dennis' price were very fair and he was diligent to track their time and make sure he did not over-charge for any of his services. We will continue to use Dennis on jobs around the house because we know it will be done right. Highly recommended.

ABuckland Home Contractor
Kurt did a great job with the repairs and replacements. He was very professional in terms of communication and returning calls and was able to fit in my job sooner than expected which was great because of the issues involved. He was neat , knowledgeable and worked quickly and efficiently. I would recommend him and would use him again if the occasion arises.

AMatt's Pro Plumbing Inc
We were happy with Matt and would use them again, but the project was not without hang-ups. We had done the demo and rough in plumbing in May, anticipating the arrival of some custom tile we had ordered. Neither we nor Matt had any idea how long a delay that would be.The tile wound up not showing up until mid July, and with vacations, etc., we did not get the bath back together till July 30th. Turning the water back on resulted in a leak that took out our den ceiling below! They repaired the leak that day, came back on August 21st to work on it some more, but we're still watching it and debating whether we should just replace the old pipes before we close everything up. The electrician Rob was great and had a tough time venting the fan to the exterior, but did a wonderful job snaking it through the attic so as not to disturb the exterior trim. (Our house is 104 years old.) Everything he did is straight, neat, and perfect. There is always a risk of a leak when new plumbing connects with old so I would not say it was anyone's fault. We still have to have a 4x10 section of the den ceiling replaced at our expense, but the den needed a redo anyway. Mario, the carpenter, will be back in September to do that...his sheetrock work was very nice in the bathroom. Matt was also very helpful directing us to suppliers for our fixtures, etc. We chose our items and he bought them, so the price we paid was only a small mark-up over his price and much less than the retail would have been. Overall we were pretty satisfied and Matt's price was well below some of the other people we had talked to. I would recommend them to any of our friends. Update 10/29/2015: I'd like to update my review. After emptying the den bookcases prior to the ceiling repair, we were able to get a good look at the plumbing work done by Matt's co worker Justin. We were shocked to see that a section of 2x10 joist had been removed to install the tub drain! This left an 8 foot section of joist cantilevered under the bathroom with no support. I emailed Matt twice asking him to come and check it out to see what could be done. He never got back to me at all. When Mario (who does jobs for Matt but also works for himself) came to do the ceiling we mutually agreed on a way to sister the joist. What is the most irritating is that we never would have known about this and my emails never got a response. So maybe having the ceiling fall in was a good thing. While we are happy with our bathroom I have to change my review to "proceed with caution"
