Recent Review: The service was okay. The install took a little time. I felt that what was advertised, and what I received wasn’t exactly what I ordered. I think I should’ve been given the choice if I wanted that product, or if I wanted something different. They workers were professional, and they worked as long as they could to finish the job. I would recommend them to others
Recent Review: I was searching for a cheaper alternative to home security monitoring. My family and I are on a tight budget, and we could not afford the steep charges from Suddenlink and other local home security providers for their systems. The two things causing the services to be so expensive were: (a) the cost of the monthly phone service we would need, since we don't have home phone service, and (b) the cost of the monitoring itself. We would had to pay about $80 a month, or more with these traditional companies! Thankfully I found NextAlarm after some careful googling. They are a fraction of the price of any of their competitors. Their system appeals to me, because it uses the internet rather than a phone line, saving lots of money. Their monitoring itself (done in the traditional way, with real people in a dispatch office) is also substantially cheaper on top of that. I paid $250 for the home security kit and now I only pay $13.50 per month for the monitoring! Its so cheap that the costs are literally offset entirely by the savings to my homeowner's insurance premium. The support staff at NextAlarm are great. They are so patient, and they will help you with anything related to your system. I have called them numerous times with little questions about this or that, and they are always super nice and knowledgable. They even walk you through how to make changes to your security system, step-by-step, when you want to change delay or change the programs. Please make note of the fact that they do not have a local installer to do the installation. The third-party vendor who offers an and quot;Instal cardand quot; will not be able to install your service in East Texas (they will refund your money once they see where you need the installation). Point being, you will need to hire a local handyman to install the home security system for you. As I already mentioned, I used Stephan du Toit -- (www.facebook.com/professionalhandymanservices). He charged my $60. Besides that little hiccup, NextAlarm is amazing. In summary, I love my service. I hope more people in my area sign up with them. It is such a great deal and they're so great!
Recent Review: Everything went great. I got the system a few days later and started to install it. All the devices were easy to put up all told it took about 45 minutes to get up and running. During the install I set the alarm off and Getsafe called me right away. I like the way it looks in my home and by that I mean I hardly notice it is there. I like being able to control the system from my phone and being able to check on my house with the camera when I am away.
Recent Review: It started with the name Pinnacle. It started going downhill maybe when somebody else bought it. My husband picked them. He had a cold call and then he went with it. I think we had another system at that time.
Recent Review: I have had 2 major system failures with NorthStar since the end of January. The first one was discovered during an actual home invasion in which the alarm company did not contact police or any of my emergency contacts. Luckily, I was not incapacitated by the intruder and was able to call 911. The second failure with NorthStar occurred this week when my motion detector on my window was triggered and my siren did not sound. I was asleep and woke up to police at my door 20 minutes after the alarm was triggered. Despite my system failing to perform basic functions during two critical situations in less than 4 months, NorthStar is refusing to let me out of my contract unless I pay them $2,204.51. Below are some of my recent interactions with the company after extensive hold times: Cole in customer service- I spoke with him on Tuesday and he assured me a manager would call me on Wednesday. I never heard from anyone. Steven in technical support- He yawned in my ear and told me I would have a new sensor to replace my faulty one within 5-7 business days during which time I would have to bypass the sensor on my window. Linda the manager- I spoke with her last night after I had to call again due to not hearing from anyone on Wednesday. She confirmed I could not get out of my contract without giving NorthStar more of my money. She provided me with the address where I can serve a lawsuit for breach of contract. Ashlyn in customer service- I spoke with her to request a copy of my contract. She never sent it. David in customer service- I spoke to him to get the contract Ashlyn never sent.

FADT Security Services Inc
I had this system installed at my vacation home in Colorado. Had trouble from the beginning due to electrical interruptions or outages that cause the system to go down and lose WIFI connectivity. The only way to get connectivity back is to reboot the system from the main control panel. That is the problem since it is a vacation home I am not there. I got the system so I could view from the cameras and see temperatures on the thermostat. The security was secondary as it is in a very safe location. The security never went down as it was cellular. I dealt with the system going down for over a year and a half until the system went down with the thermostat in the on-heating position. The temperature in my home went to 98 degrees when it was 20 degrees outside. It stayed that way for 2 weeks. I asked a neighbor to go check on things when I had lost connectivity to WIFI for those 2 weeks and they discovered the thermostat in on running continuously. Since this was extremely dangerous and could have burned the house down at some point I removed the thermostat and asked to be let out of the contract. I addressed a letter to the COO of ADT and he forwarded me to a customer service agent. I spent over $2000 on the system in the first place. In stead of letting me out of the rest they made me pay $250 to get out of the rest of the contract which I had about 6 months left on. Since they made me pay the $250 I had their system removed from my main house and went with another company in which I pay a much lower monthly fee. Cost them a lot more than $250.

The sales rep professional and extremely knowledgeable of the system. He was easily able to compare and explain the differences between the ADT system and my current system. Bases on the sales rep information, we decided to upgrade. The technician clearly understood what we were looking for in a system. He updated the existing equipment to reduce the visual impact within the home. We explained what areas we wanted covered my cameras. Not only did he locate the cameras in the best places, he ensured the structural impact was kept to a minimum. Where drilling into the home was required, it was done in areas with the least impact and all entrances were sealed. The technician took his time to explain the operation of the system and patiently answered all of our questions. The install took a bit longer than anticipated. However, the technician never displayed any frustration or impatient. Both the sales rep and technician were true professionals. I so appreciate the work and would recommend the company to anyone looking to upgrade or install a new security system.

I was contacted by the alarm monitoring service and told that a motion detector had been activated at my place of business. I went immediately to my business location and found a bear trying to gain access to my locked trash dumpster. The bear was apparently trying to get a last meal before going into hibernation for the winter and had inadvertently banged up against the side of the building, activating the alarm. I saw no reason to adjust alarm sensitivity for this very rare situation. But, if I had needed an adjustment I know that Village Security would take care of it just as they always have in the few times that I have requested (and needed) help. They installed my system and it has always worked to my satisfaction. I recommend them to anyone who asks me about security systems.

ADry Creek Electric
Dry Creek Electric is family owned and operated. No one in this organization will "pass the buck" or "blame" another person. They do the work and appreciate the consumer. Probably most significant to me is the fact that everyone in this organization is someone you would invite into your home with confidence and a sense of security. Nothing is taken for granted when you are working with this family. Ask for assistance and you will be heard!

They were awesome. It was great to have an expert come in and install everything on my network, for a really excellent price. All the advice and research done was just above and beyond what most companies would do. The employees are so friendly, work well with dogs and kids in the home, and get it all working perfectly. I would trust them to do any additional work needed in the future and they would be my first call.

FVAIL ELECTRONICS LTD
These guys are obviously making a ton of money so if you don't have a big project avoid them. I had them visit my home in Beaver Creek in January 2014 and badgered the owner (John)and later another guy named Don for a quote. I needed work on a security system so guests could easily access with a code. I actually flew out from Ohio specifically in November of 2014 solely to meet with them because earlier attempts had been unsuccessful. At no time did they indicate they were not interested in the work. They have promised me quotes all year long and then one week before I was due to be there again in December, they called and said they couldn't do the work. This left me hanging and with a real problem setting up access codes for guests in the coming year. Unbelievably crappy service and consideration of the customer. Don't take these guys at their word, its not worth the cost of a phone call and certainly the hundreds of dollars on airfare I have wasted on them.

ABlue Aspen Janitorial & Maintenance
I called Adalberto to have him inspect and sweep the chimney on my old wood stove. I have had several local companies come to do this over many years, but Adalberto by far did the best job and was the most knowledgeable. He brought in tarps to put down from the front door to the stove, so he wouldn't get anything in the house dirty. He also used a large vacuum to clean inside the stove and out. He cleaned the stove pipe from inside the stove, which I had never seen anyone do before. He checked the stove pipes with a camera to see if there were any damages to the pipes and inspected the pipes on the roof also. He paid great attention to detail. He went the extra mile to answer my questions and was very courteous. This company was highly recommended to me by a property managing company that uses this company extensively. Though I didn't use this company for anything other than chimney sweeping, I would feel very comfortable using their services for the many other things that this company does. This is a family run and owned company. They are licensed, bonded and insured.
