Recent Review: We purchased frameless shower door that needed to be installed in our newly remodeled shower. We found Patrick on Angies List and hired him to install it. He broke 2 screws off and cracked a tile (which I let go because I understand it could happen) . BUT THEN a couple of weeks later we noticed there were streaks on the obscured part of the glass that we couldn't remove. We contacted the manufacturer and they confirmed the door was installed BACKWARDS. The obscured part was supposed to be facing OUT and not get wet. I pulled up the instructions and they were VERY CLEAR about that. We called/emailed/text Patrick Quigley NUMEROUS times before he finally responded back 3 weeks later. He responded that he was on vacation but would call me back to come take a look at it in a few days. I called/emailed/text him several times over the next 3 months and he NEVER RESPONDED back again. Bottom line, I am out the $600 I paid him, plus my $1200 shower door is ruined. Please do not hire this fraud

Recent Review: I don't even consider calling anyone else, only Michael's Handyman Service will do whenever I have something that needs repairing or installing around my house. This time I needed him to install new shower doors, shave some excess off the bottoms of 2 doors and climb onto my roof to remove the winter covers from two turbines. As always, Michael was punctual, picked up the shower doors from the store and even brought somebody along to help with the real heavy stuff. The work was done neatly, completely and in his always professional manner. The price was very reasonable and Michael left the work area spotless. He even came back the next day at no charge to adjust something on the shower doors that I wanted changed. Thanks, Michael.

Recent Review: I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED!! I had hoped to maybe get the ceiling fan installed and the shower door fixed, but Russell got all 4 items done.  Even more impressive is that I previously had a handyman come out and give me an estimate. He looked at the sliding glass door handle and said that would need someone who specialized in sliding glass doors. So I was very pleased that Russell got that fixed before the handle fell off.

Recent Review: The work went very well and we were extremely pleased overall. The crew was punctual and very responsive to our needs and some changes as the job proceeded. They cleaned up completely at the end of the day, including using plastic to close off the area to help keep our cats out of the construction and finishing area. The job would have finished within a couple of days of the promised schedule, except for the custom frameless shower door being delivered and installed late. Not really Homestead's fault. The tile work was custom and detailed. It also included glass tile accents. This was new to the tiler, so it took longer than planned and a couple of things needed to be redone. But this was all done without complaint and within schedule/budget.

Better than expected.  John was prompt, actually early to our scheuled time.  We we're in the process of moving and we was even willing to go over to the new house to help repair a door that would not close properly.  He was very concencious of the 3 hour timeframe, and although my husband wanted to talk with John to get some estimates for other repair jobs we needed, John made sure he spent the alloted 3 hour time to get all the origianl repairs requested for this appiontment completed before spending time to look at the additional items.  Very professional and excellent work.  We will be using your company again in the near future for our new home as well as the rental home.

Chuck was originally contacted to repair broken counter-weight lower sash cords of three wooden double-hung windows in our old house (built around 1897); and to replace the tile and water-damaged wall of a shower/bath in a bathroom, part of an addition made to the house in about 1989. The window repairs went pretty well, taking most of a day, Chuck replacing both cords even where only one was actually broken (a good thing). One window had access panels in the side jambs to access the weights, and repair went smoothly. Two windows did not have such access panels, so the inside trim had to be removed to access the weights. One repair went OK, but on the other a chunk of old plaster wall pulled away with a trim panel - we both knew this would be likely (since the same had occurred earlier on another window by another repairman), so this plaster fix will be addressed later (along with other plaster problems) by a specialist. For the shower/bath enclosure, Chuck coordinated new tile selection with us, cut out the tile-covered wall on three sides, coordinated with a plumber to come and install new bath & shower plumbing and control valve,  picked up the new tile and disposed of demolished material, installed concrete board, applied rubberized sealer, cut and installed the new 12" square porcelain tile over mortar, applied grout, painted the bathroom walls and ceiling, and reinstalled the shower doors, taking about eight or nine days for this work (the room - toilet and sink - was usable in a week) . Afterwards I found that the shower doors didn't slide correctly, and Chuck immediately came out and corrected the problem. Chuck was due to return in a week to apply sealer to the grout, so we asked if he could replace our old toilet and sink faucets in the same bathroom - this he agreed to do. We ordered a low-water-use toilet and replacement sink faucet, and when these arrived, Chuck scheduled a day, picked up the toilet and necessary parts, did the installation of it and faucet, sealed the grout, and disposed of the old toilet, taking about five hours. I am very happy with with Chuck's work. We were both pretty flexible with schedule; Chuck shows up when promised, and calls when there is an unexpected conflict. Note: The "cost of service" above excludes the control valve, tile, grout, toilet and faucet items, and plumber's labor.

Roger was a true craftsman. He cares about the little details and works to make sure he gets it right. He was on time and put in a full days work in everyday. He encouraged me to stop in often and see the work and give any feedback to make sure we were on the same page . It came out stunningly beautiful. Everyone is so impressed. I am so happy with the job. I would highly recommend Handyman Connection. They have done two bathrooms for us and we've been pleased both times. Took everything out with him and vacuumed the area where he was working.

Wow...if we had to described the final project in a single word, it would be Wow!  John is a great person to work with on a project.  He did not pushed for anything that benefitted him.  He was very easy to worked with.  His attention to details were more than we could have asked for.  He completed the remodeling as if our house was his house.  He took no shortcut and gave us a bathroom that is suited for a 5-Star hotel or luxury spa.  The primary focus was the removal of the all-in-one bathtub and shower enclosure and building a walk-in shower unit.  Our original intent was to hired someone just to do that conversion while we would do the remaining work.  John's price was so good, we hired him to do the entire project.  The cost listed above was for his labor and contractor's furnished materials.  We did our owned designed work and purchased the remaining materials.  We bought a complete vanity of hardwood with a marble top, under mount basins and matching dual mirrors online from Home Depot for $2100; from Tiles Trader we bought $2500 in tiles, Amazon we expended over $1300 on venetian bronze finished bath fixtures and light fixtures; and from City Glass we spent $1450 for an installed frameless shower door and wall.  Our total cost was right at $15,000.  This was less than the other three bids we received which was as high as $24,000 from a company that would make our dream bathroom.  John exceeded our dream with this remodeling.  We are hiring him to do our hall bath as well.  It is really difficult to put into words on how we feel this project turned out in it final form. My wife was very happy with how John protected the interior of our house with drop cloths that he collected each day and the plastic wall he built each day separating the bedroom from his work area.  We felt so good about John, that we had no problem with leaving him alone in our house each day.  We even took a day trip out of town with him working in the house.  It was evidenced each day on the amount of work he performed during the day. John arrived each day at the time he said he would, and put in at least 10 hours a day on the project.  We were very impressed with his skills and workmanship. You will not go wrong with hiring this man.
