Recent Review: The work went beautifully. The whole process went very smoothly. "The Concrete Company" is very organized, fast and efficient. Fred (the Owner) is on site to make sure everything is done correctly. The clean-up of the site was thorough and the final product came out very much to my satisfaction. I highly recommend this company for your concrete needs. They are very customer oriented and will take excellent care of all your needs.
They worked us in last minute and did a beautiful job. They did excellent work. I would not use anyone else.

Took advantage of an Angie's list deal for 100sf of concrete work for $699. As I found on other Angie's list deals the contractor was a little slow to follow up with me and set a firm appointment to look at the job and set a date to get started. I finally contacted River Concrete and once contacted they worked to meet me to set a date and get the job done. Once started the job was completed timely and with little mess or inconvenience. I marked them down in quality because a section of the new poured sidewalk was lower than the existing sidewalk and they ultimately had to come back and put down an epoxy coat to even up the section to ensure there was no tripping hazard, which they did without me having to ask. This epoxy skim coat is visible and hence the new sidewalk does not look perfectly poured. However, for the price it was a good job otherwise.

I found this company on Angie's List and was impressed with so many positive reviews. The Concrete Company does a professional job and the results are outstanding! Fred, the owner, was right there doing the job with his crew. That's unusual because most company owners are absent from the job while they're out hustling for new business. Fred laid out the design, connecting all the walks and parking pad. I am so pleased with the results and I can't say enough good about these people and this company. There were no issues and I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to lay concrete. You won't be disappointed.

They arrived when scheduled, completed the work in two and a half days. Our neighbors commented on how hard they were working and how efficient they were, and I agree. They used a fair amount of water in the process, (not unexpected in concrete work) they made a point of putting clean surplus water on the driest parts of our lawn when they could have dumped in the street. Dealing with the office was a joy, cheerful and efficient.

HORRIBLE. David is the shadiest contractor I ever met. At first very nice. His business card said he was BBB accredited but after issues with him I did further research. He was not. Calls to the BBB were pointless. His response to them were all exaggerated. The big thing that didn’t catch my attention right away was he requested to be paid in cash. My contract price was constantly knuckled and dined up. My contract still has yet to be finished and I had to pay for so much stuff that should have been included in the job. Stamping was not done as per the contract. I did alot of the animal stamps myself because the cement was curing faster than they could keep up with. They had a fast hardening added agent for a (April)spring job. Warranty work was agreed for one year. Well I called for warranty work. Constantly no response. Then when he did show up he wanted to be paid for his warranty work. After the patio and cement were poured I discovered a massive leak in my sprinkler line. It was a main line and it had a stake whole punched in it. It was under the poured sidewalk. He denied responsibility. That was not the only hole in my sprinklers I had to fix on my own. My lights that were permanently installed in cement are crooked and misaligned. He refused to attempt to fix. The light fixtures had cement in them. The drain lines were not installed in the patio because they poured without putting them in. They drilled drain holes and blew out a concave hole on the other side of the wall. He called them “Blown our @&$ holes” and can’t be fixed. I had footers poured under the patio and marked for a future job. His crew remover the markers and now they can’t be found. A representative from another company came and inspected recently (November 2018) and said I will have further problems with my patio in the future. He stated it was not poured properly. The hardening agent wasn’t required. My patio walls were poured incorrectly and not nearly deep enough. The patio was cracking in the wrong areas The concrete joints were improperly spaced. The inspector said concrete should have not been poured against my stucco and that’s going going to be an issue. Goid luck if you choose to work with this contractor. Get every down to the last but and bolt and every penny accounted for in a contract with him or you will regret it. David also threatened me if I write a receive on him. He said “You better be prepared for what happens next, you’re messing with my families livelihood”.
