Recent Review: Brian at Blade to Blade and his team were responsive, knowledgeable, and extremely hard working. They were able to complete the large project in one day, even working late into the evening to finish everything. I am very happy with the results. Would highly recommend and will absolutely use their services again!

Recent Review: I think it went well.  Owner was very responsive and kind, crew was friendly.  They used their tools like they knew what they were doing, including the small bulldozer.  Overall they did a very good job, and I was very pleased, but there is one detail I did not discover until a week or two after the installation.  When they installed the river rock they dumped the river rock dust with it.  This sounds like a miner detail but the dust rises to the surface, and there is quite a bit of it .  Weeds take root in it, and that's what we wanted to prevent.  After all the care they used to install the permeable weed barrier and the rock it's a shame they were careless with the dust from the rock. I did like them, and I would very likely use them again.

Recent Review: Our project manager, Drew Kennedy, is a very knowledgeable professional. He ran this very large project efficiently and his men were always there when he told us to expect them. Everyone on the project was courteous, respectful and helpful. Their workmanship is top notch. They should be given a gold star simply for working so hard to keep our dogs in the yard during construction.

Recent Review: We were really impressed with Jake when he came to give a bid.  The price seemed a bit high but we are fairly new to the area and he was rated well so we went with it.  We discussed, in detail, what needed to be done to address water coming into the basement from the window well.  The grading was poor.  When he suggested removing the trees to get to the ground, we asked about leaving the stumps in.  Jake advised against that, as they would eventually decompose and leave holes where the ground would sink in and we'd be in the same position we were in at that time.  We agreed the stumps had to go.   He could not get to the job for 6-8 weeks, which was disappointing as we had rain continue to come into the house several times during the interm.  When he did come out, his crew did the job and we  paid him. A couple of weeks later I was in that area when I noticed the stumps.  They had not been removed.  I thought it was an oversight.  I sent an email to Jake through Angie's List several weeks ago.  We have not had a response.  This is concerning because we paid a lot of money to address the water leaking into the house and now, it appears we will have to address this same issue again in a year or two.

Recent Review: This is being written on August 3rd. All went well and according to our wishes. I have noted that we are getting some weeds/grass growing around some shrubs and edgings. I assume that comes with the territory. Grass and weeds are pernicious! But the rock areas really enhance our lawn presentation. The quality of the small River Rock was so so. It came filled with wet sticky dirt and small pebbles. Wish it had been dry cleaner rock. The large rocks were dry and clean.

Recent Review: Fredell brought in their landscape designer who worked with us. Once the plan was decided their crew came in and worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning up as they went. We were never inconvenienced. They were there every day all day until the job was done. We were delighted with the results. Our area was transformed into a "park like" setting with winding paths, very natural and beautiful. The plants were staged beautifully in color and time of blooming. Another division of Fredell "Colorado Outdoor Living" created our outdoor kitchen at the same time which will be reported on separately.

Recent Review: From the initial quote we knew that Serenity Landscaping was the ideal company to do our landscaping. Chad and his employees are very professional and straight forward. They said it would take about 2 days to do the whole yard and they were right on. There was also no "hidden fees". Our quote was the total cost of the job. They showed up on time and worked non-stop until it was done. They were extremely respectful and made sure that we were included in every major step in the landscaping making sure that it was exactly the way we wanted it. They also made sure that the sprinklers were in working order and that we knew how to work the new system that they put in and how to drain them. All of the employees were knowledgeable and enjoyable to talk to.  Chad is a great communicator and an awesome business owner! We couldn't have asked for a better experience! We will be recommending Serenity Landscaping to all of our friends and family and we will use them again as well.

FDIAMOND LANDSCAPING
I called to setup an appointment with Mark for Xeriscape work on a rental property in Fountain. He made an appointment for an estimate and discussion of the project. He called an said he would be 20 minutes late. I told him that I'm getting bids from several Xeriscapers today. He never should up! I'm a local real estate investor and always looking for someone to add on my rehad team and I truly believe in long term business relationships.

FK & J Longenecker
I would NOT recommend Longnecker for any landscaping project. We paid him a ton of money and got terrible service. We gave him very precise instructions as to layout and materials, including a blueprint with measurements down to the inch. He never referred to the blueprint and tried to bring in materials that he preferred because he got a cut-rate price. We asked for fescue-mix sod; he brought bluegrass, about 50% of which has since died. We specified river rock in a certain color from a supplier that he said he used; he brought river rock in a completely different color, from another supplier. We specified a retaining wall on a gravel foundation with a drain; he directed his team (only one of whom spoke any english) to put the wall on top of hardpacked dirt, with a drain behind it which doesn't drain anywhere. We strongly suspect that one reason he ignored our directions is that we are two women. We had to fight, fight and fight again to get the correct river rock put down. We gave up fighting on the sod and the retaining wall because we just wanted him out of our lives. His lead team manager put in a 4-zone sprinkler system with works pretty well. It is the only part of the project that I'm not completely angry about. Hiring Longnecker is one of the 5 worst decisions I've made in my 46 years of living.

AThe Landscaper LLC
The project went fine. Workers arrived on time and worked throughout the day. Tomas, the owner, was responsive to my last minute changes. Tomas met me at the rock place to allow me to see the river rock before I made my decision. He did a good job supervising his three workers. Tomas communicated well--went out of his way to explain things and answer my many questions. The project finished ahead of schedule. I hope to work with The Landscaper again in the future.
