Reviews in Nederland to Repair Exterior Trim

A4 Seasons Construction
We are having our home painted this fall and needed some siding and trim replaced.  Nick was able to give me a firm quote and did everything he promised, with no "extra" charges.  We even had him do a bit more work that came up while he was here and his additional charges were reasonable. Nick and his helper were always professional, answered all my questions, seemed to take a genuine interest in doing good work, and left the work site clean when finished.  I would be happy to use him again and recommend him to friends.

We called Blaine for an estimate. He came by for an estimate the same week. Our 1959 home had not been painted in over 15 years. Many sections of the soffit were rotted and had to be replaced before painting. Blaine gave us a detailed estimate, which included all materials and paint, and we scheduled the job. Blaine arrived on time and got right to work. He power washed the entire house. He replaced the soffit where needed, and sanded all of the wood trim (including enclosed patio, carport and shed). He also refinished those areas that were damaged. Everything was caulked, primed and painted (by brush). The front and back doors were also sanded and painted. All work was completed as scheduled. Blaine's quality of work and attention to detail has brought our home back to life!

AGrandma's Handyman Service, Inc.
Our handyman, Shane, arrived right on time. He reviewed the work to be done, made some suggestions and went to work. I had Shane go to Home Depot to get the materials required for the job rather than going my self. He removed old wood, painted and prepsred the new boards, and calked everything very well before he was finished. The entire job took about 6.5 hours with a half hour lunch break. I contracted this work on a time and materials basis and I am very pleased with the total cost of the project.  Shane was very professional and friendly and he cleaned up very well after the job was complete. I am very satisfied with the project and I would use the service again as well as recomend them to friends and neighbors.

Two guys came over and did a very good job sanding some of the rotting exterior trim, placing some putty in really bad spots, and re-painting all the trim. They worked very hard not to replace a rotted board as they knew the cost and the labor would be quite high. It was very nice of them to avoid this. They did a fine job re-painting all the other trim and cleaning up afterwards. The price was a little higher than I expected, but it was definitely worth it. My house is roughly 1200 sq. ft. and the total cost was $1500.

DDcs Construction
This project was pretty simple - replace some water-damaged drywall in our basement, replace trim, and repaint. We chose DCS because they initially were very responsive and indicated that the job would A) cost approximately $1900, and B) be done in "1 to 2 weeks".  A month and $3200 later, the job is done. And it's done ok, I suppose. Mudding drywall isn't rocket science and it looks fine. But the costs inflated by more than 50%, and the work was done 2 weeks late. DCS did not return phone calls from either us or our tenants, and as a final insult they refused to accept credit cards without tacking on a 4% fee - something they had not told us when we specifically mentioned we wanted to pay by credit card when we initially contacted them.  Bottom line - lots of people can do basic handyman stuff and charge what they say they will. Lots of people can get simple work done on time and answer the phone. DCS is not one of those companies.

ASperr Maintenance & Improvements Inc
Generally went pretty well.  The owner provided a prompt, and written, job estimate.  Scheduling of the actual work took a bit longer than anticipated due, apparently, to a couple of delays on the contractor's end in finishing up another job and and being out of town for a few days. Once we got the ball rolling, they showed up promptly on the scheduled day (actually arriving a bit early), were prepared with all material needed to perform the job, and set to work in doing so. They agreed it was probably gaps in trim-siding and window area caulk that contributed primarily to the water damage, after removing the damaged trim, inspected underneath for any additional damage (none), replaced the trim and a small section of siding that had also been water damaged and completed the job as noted in my description of the job above. The worker was courteous, friendly and willing to explain what he was doing, and was responsive to my requests for a couple of tweaks to the work. Very good cleanup after completion. My only concern is that, on close inspection, the painting could have been a bit neater, but probably most non-compulsive people wouldn't really notice. :-)

AGS Exterior Experts
This project went very well from start to finish. GS Exteriors was very fair, patient, courteous, considerate and timely throughout the process from start to completion. GS was very respectful and responsive to our needs and requirements as we planned and as they executed the project. If we had any questions or concerns they listened and were quick to answer and resolve them.

AScott's Remodeling
Scott does a great job. He is very detail minded, and there has never been a job that he hasn't completely finished after he has started it. I also appreciate how he is very thorough and does exactly what he says he is going to do. Scott can do it all. He is a jack of all trades. I would highly recommend him.

Call Greg! You’ll be glad you did. He is a great find. He seems to be very busy but can squeeze things in. He has lots of energy and is a very cheerful and positive person. In addition, he’s a great communicator, very professional, honest and dependable and he does great work! We initially hired Greg to paint only two bedrooms and stain the deck after we closed on our house. But once we got in the house and were cleaning we realized all the open space in the house had never been painted- we had original builders grade paint from 2005. So after we saw the great job Greg did on the two bedrooms, we asked if he could possibly continue and paint most of the rest of the house before our furniture arrived the following week. He shuffled some things around and even helped approve the color. We were so happy we had him paint most everything before we moved in. Greg also fixed our bathroom shower door and replaced some exterior trim! We almost feel like we have a brand new house! Once we get a little more settled, we’ll be calling him to paint the other bedroom and the office. Too bad he doesn’t do exterior painting!

ARobert J Gee Construction LLC
I demolished my kitchen, living room and entry way to have all of these rooms rebuilt. Robert came recommended so I had him look at my home before I purchased it to get an idea of cost and creative remodel options. Once I moved in, demo began in kitchen and dining area. Robert put in new floors after helping me select flooring, then we punched out the kitchen ceiling and go rid of fluorescent lighting. Robert drywalled new ceiling, installed lights, and made drywall repairs in preparation for new cabinets, appliances, sink, faucet and countertops. Once all of that was installed, we began work on living room by tearing out old bookcases, and replacing drywall. New trim, handrails, book case shelves, and fireplace mantle were all manufactured by Robert using Colorado's beetle kill wood - looks amazing! We then moved on to tear out entry way, flooring and drywall. Robert laid a new tile floor, drywalled, new trim and installed a new door. He also replaced several light fixtures with new ones in the house. Next up will be my bathrooms and lofted railings, and my outdoor deck. Robert was always doing all this other stuff for me... tightening something, helping with a jammed window, etc. Never nickel and dimed me for it.
