Recent Review: It went very well. The technician had available a used motherboard, and installed that to keep the system going until the new motherboard was received. Then he quickly came out and installed the new one. There was some discussion about charging for labor. But I brought in my warranty papers showing free parts and labor for 10 years, and it was agreed to. Air Tech now has a chart of set prices for most service calls, starting at $189 and going upwards, with extent of work. The $189 does seem a bit high for a simple task, but the owner explained that it is the average of past charges for the simpler tasks.

Recent Review: -Punctual, efficient in installation -Excellent clean up, attention to detail -Showed real interest in giving us best product experience -Previously had used to installed a central geothermal HVAC system in another home --Same excellent result
Our geothermal/radiant heat/boiler system (Climate Master geothermal) did not function consistently after installation in 5/10. We filed a warranty claim in 4/11 before the first year was up to our general contractor for the general contractor to go to this subcontractor to solve the issues. The subcontractor did provide us with a new geothermal unit (Geostar) and a new storage tank. The new Geostar geothermal unit was installed in November 2011 and a new storage tank was also installed and piping moved farther away from this tank. The subcontractor was last out in February 2012 to fix items. When we called the subcontractor in early 2013 for service on the boiler, he said that we would be better served to find a local contractor for service, however there are none in our immediate area. We do not understand why this subcontractor will not provide us service and any repairs on a system they had designed and they installed and in an emergency situation.

He suggested we contact the original installer to do any fixing. This was a geothermal ground source heat pump under warrantee, a brand that they do not carry. He could have taken one look and said, "Gee, I don't know about this", he could have called someone else who does know about it. We were specific about the pump when we made the appointment. Why they sent someone who had no clue is inexcusable. There is one technician there who does and had fixed others in our area. We paid the bill because this is a small town and we didn't want to ruin our reputation. We would never call them again.
