Recent Review: I purchased $1000 in cork flooring from Carpet Trends. At the time CarpetTrends' installer had moved, so the owner, Darla, referred me to an independent installer, Scott Plumb, for installation.  After leaving several messages over several days, he finally returned my call.  It took several days more before he could come out to look at my project.  He said he would email me with a bid and a date when he could install the flooring.  When he emailed me the bid he did not commit to a date, and it again took several days for him to return my call to schedule a date.  We agreed that he would come out on Monday, February 25, 2013, at 8:30 o'clock a.m. to install the cork flooring.  In preparation for the installation, I ran my heater at 68 degrees round the clock for three days, as required by the flooring manufacturing for proper acclimatization and installation.  On Monday morning, he neither showed nor called.  I called him at approximately 8:40 to see if I should still be expecting him.  He said that he was running late, but that he was loading supplies and would head my way as soon as he finished.  One hour later, he still had neither shown nor called nor would he take my calls.  As it seemed clear that I had been stood up, I called Darla to see if she had another installer who could install my flooring.  She did not but wanted to call Mr. Plumb on my behalf to see what the problem was.  At approximately 10:30, Mr. Plumb called me back and indicated that he was very angry and in a very bad mood because I had called Darla, and, as a result, he was no longer willing to install my flooring.  Mr. Plumb's behavior throughout my association with him has been extremely unprofessional, neither returning calls nor keeping appointments as scheduled nor calling to reschedule nor keeping to his commitment to install my flooring.

Recent Review: This was one the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. We bought carpet and faux wood vinyl plank for our home. It took over 2 months to get the job done. This all started in May and as of Saturday 9/21/2013 we are still having problems. First installation. Carpet was installed first. Then the vinyl flooring was installed. First of all a professional would instal carpet last so as to not get it dirty or stained while the rest of the work was being done. There was a seam that was not done properly and it was really visible. The carpet was not stretch properly and tight around the hearth. Then as a transition a metal strip was installed, which would have been ok had they cut it correctly and it did not have jagged edges as well and bowing up because it was not nailed correctly. Faux wood final planks. A complete subfloors was not installed. They baseboards were not removed and the floor

Recent Review: We have a house we are putting on the market that needed some work in order to help the sale of the house. The bathrooms were quite dated and looked small due to the color of the vanities and walls. After John painted them the batrooms looked larger and more modern and you would never know it was not the orginal bathroom. We also had a room that needed a wall removed in order to open up more space on the main level of the home. John was quite thorough in checking to make sure there was no electrical wiring that would be compromised as well as the support structure of the wall. After he finished this job we were very pleased! It opened up the room and you would never have known a wall had ever been there. His finishing on the walls was excellent and especially the floors. I was concerned it would be obvious work was done because of the flooring. A previous bid had even told me I would have to replace all the wood flooring on the main level in order for it to match. John was able to match the wood on the floor exactly and the finished result was perfect. John was very professinal when he came to give us a bid, We had a few meetings before the actual work was to be started and he was always punctual. He was very neat when he was working and cleaned up at the end of the day. When work was completed he also did a very thorough job of cleaning all the dust that had collected due to all of the work being done. I would highly recommend him.
