Recent Review: I was searching for a cheaper alternative to home security monitoring. My family and I are on a tight budget, and we could not afford the steep charges from Suddenlink and other local home security providers for their systems. The two things causing the services to be so expensive were: (a) the cost of the monthly phone service we would need, since we don't have home phone service, and (b) the cost of the monitoring itself. We would had to pay about $80 a month, or more with these traditional companies! Thankfully I found NextAlarm after some careful googling. They are a fraction of the price of any of their competitors. Their system appeals to me, because it uses the internet rather than a phone line, saving lots of money. Their monitoring itself (done in the traditional way, with real people in a dispatch office) is also substantially cheaper on top of that. I paid $250 for the home security kit and now I only pay $13.50 per month for the monitoring! Its so cheap that the costs are literally offset entirely by the savings to my homeowner's insurance premium. The support staff at NextAlarm are great. They are so patient, and they will help you with anything related to your system. I have called them numerous times with little questions about this or that, and they are always super nice and knowledgable. They even walk you through how to make changes to your security system, step-by-step, when you want to change delay or change the programs. Please make note of the fact that they do not have a local installer to do the installation. The third-party vendor who offers an and quot;Instal cardand quot; will not be able to install your service in East Texas (they will refund your money once they see where you need the installation). Point being, you will need to hire a local handyman to install the home security system for you. As I already mentioned, I used Stephan du Toit -- (www.facebook.com/professionalhandymanservices). He charged my $60. Besides that little hiccup, NextAlarm is amazing. In summary, I love my service. I hope more people in my area sign up with them. It is such a great deal and they're so great!

Recent Review: Everything went great. I got the system a few days later and started to install it. All the devices were easy to put up all told it took about 45 minutes to get up and running. During the install I set the alarm off and Getsafe called me right away. I like the way it looks in my home and by that I mean I hardly notice it is there. I like being able to control the system from my phone and being able to check on my house with the camera when I am away.
Recent Review: It started with the name Pinnacle. It started going downhill maybe when somebody else bought it. My husband picked them. He had a cold call and then he went with it. I think we had another system at that time.

Reviews in Henderson for Security Camera Installation

I've now hired Anthony twice for installations in our new office and I was impressed with his quality of service both times. The first job was the installation of our electronic locks which was quite the task. We had a few issues with the physical locks (the fault of the company we purchased them from) and Anthony went above and beyond to act as a liaison between myself and the lock company to resolve the issues. I was so impressed with his dedication and efficiency for the first job that we hired him again so install our security cameras. Anthony did a site visit and explained to me exactly what I needed and talked through the install plan with me. I then scheduled a time for Anthony and his team member to install our cameras and sensors which was also a great experience. I had very little knowledge of the rules and regulations associated with installing security cameras and Anthony took to the time explain everything to me including which permits I would need to obtain which was incredibly helpful. Again, Anthony goes above and beyond to inform his clients and to make the experience as seamless as possible!

I've been with FrontPoint (FP) for 18 months. I had Simplisafe (SS) for 2 years previously. Based on my experiences FP is not nearly as good as SS in many respects. Let me compare the experiences: - FP misrepresented it's products during the sales process and does NOT have true 24X7X365 protection. They say they monitor your system constantly and can detect an intruder smashing a console and still respond - not true. My FP touchscreen console locked up numerous times and once it did, I didn't receive a notification for 24 HOURS! - I found out after the third outage they no longer support their touchscreen consoles and no longer sell them. This was a big usability point for me and now it's gone. I liked the interaction with the touch screen. After my complaints about the lockups they finally replaced my touchscreen console with a dumb hub but refused to give me a full refund of the upgrade I had paid for the touchscreen. - Obviously, they were having significant problems with the touchscreen consoles and did not inform owners about it until they complained. What else are they not telling us about? - Equipment cannot be easily added to the FP system and REQUIRES their technical support to do. SS is easy to update. - Since I received the dumb hub I've had numerous sensors going on/offline. I don't believe this hub has signals strong enough to cover all of the sensors in my 4200 sq foot house. It's a single-story, walk-out ranch so the sensors are really not that far from the hub. - My experience with both tech support groups convinced me the SS tech support is also much better and more responsive than FP's. When I contacted support about the issues and wanted answers, their very rude representative emailed me a copy of the their very very one-sided contract. - FP locks you in for a 36-month contract. SS has none. FP threatened to sue me If I left them before the end of the contract. I only want out because their system doesn't protect my house! If you looking at purchasing a FP system - Beware! SS is a much better, more reliable, and much more cost effective system. I'll drop FP at the end of the month and they will probably force me to eat the cost of the remaining contract. It will be worth it. I'm going back to SS. BIG COSTLY mistake choosing FP.

The ADT Guy Joel was very nice and knowledgeable. The problem was that as I added devices to meet my needs, the monitoring fee became unreasonable. This has more to do with ADT rather than Joel. Therefore, I went with another company.

ASecurity Central Inc
Security Central has provided excellent service for the security monitoring of our home, and we have been customers for several years. Installation of the system went smoothly, and it is easy to use. We have only had to have them out for one service call since installation, and the technician was punctual, friendly, and quick about the repairs. They are friendly and professional on the phone. The quality of the web app they provide to access the system remotely is clunky and has minimal functionality, but it works in a pinch. I would recommend this company.

ACT Electrical Services
Charles was fantastic! He bent over backwards for my requests and was very patient with all of my questions. It was a blessing that he came when he did because he found that my main wires that run to the house were compromised in their housing case due to the ground shifting over the last 35 years. This was something that was verified by two other electricians when I was getting a bid.

I told him specifically where I needed a security camera set up. I needed it above a spotlight to hide it. He installed it below the light, which made it completely visible. He mumbled that it was "too much electrical" and refused to move it. By not setting the camera where needed, he caused me not to have video evidence of a break in. My playback was blurred by the spotlight. He is condescending and arrogant. I felt he wouldn't listen to me because I'm a woman and that he intentionally sabotaged me. I had to pay another person to come out and clean up after his shoddy work. Also, the price was only for labor. I paid for the cameras and cables. He walked off with the extra cable and some tools. He claimed to have dropped one tool into the AC unit and didn't know about the other one. He also scratched up the camera's dome cover. When I returned the camera to purchase a new system, the company deducted $1200 for the damage and missing tools.

The DVR seems cheap and is hard to use. One of the cameras stopped working a year and a half after installation. I called for support but was given an answer like, "it could be the cable or the power." That was it.
