I purchased a Angie's List coupon for 2 hours worth of service, and submitted the online form requesting to be contacted (did this on a Sunday). We are planning a graduation party in a week, so I really wanted all this done quickly. I received a call from the company the next morning. They were very pleasant to deal with. I explained in detail what I wanted done, and suspected it would take more than 2 hours. Not a problem - they just apply the "coupon" to the full price. We scheduled the work for today, Thursday, less than a week from my original request. They explained who they were sending, what he looked like, and his qualifications. Also that they are fully insured. After some bad experiences, this is huge for us. Bill showed up today, early. He called ahead and explained he'd finished his other job and asked if he should come on over, or did I need him to keep to the appointment time. Bill, come on down! Since talking with them on Monday, I had added to the list (scope creep for all you IT/project people ;-) When Bill arrived I showed him what needed to be done, and he went straight to work. He hung a set of mini blinds and curtain rod/curtains in our spare bedroom, replaced our entry way chandelier, replaced a kitchen light fixture, 2 outdoor security lights, a paper towel holder, replaced the kitchen faucet, and repaired our granite table! And was done in four (yes, 4) hours!! The hourly rate is very reasonable (they also offer senior a discount). For everything Bill accomplished it was a bargain. Bill wasn't even out the door and I was e-mailing co-workers who wanted updates. Yes, they are a great company. Yes, I recommend them. Yes, call and book your appointment today. Not only are we willing to have them back, we've already started our list for round 2. Thank you Angie's List and Thank you Grandma's Handyman Service!. We are more than pleased - we are thrilled that we finally got all this "little" stuff done.
