Recent Review: Joe was always kind and professional, and did an excellent job. He even fixed some of the sloppily-installed trim on our existing kitchen cabinets, and cleaned up after their work very nicely. Quality work at a reasonable price-- we'd definitely hire him again.

Recent Review: This project was pretty simple - replace some water-damaged drywall in our basement, replace trim, and repaint. We chose DCS because they initially were very responsive and indicated that the job would A) cost approximately $1900, and B) be done in "1 to 2 weeks".  A month and $3200 later, the job is done. And it's done ok, I suppose. Mudding drywall isn't rocket science and it looks fine. But the costs inflated by more than 50%, and the work was done 2 weeks late. DCS did not return phone calls from either us or our tenants, and as a final insult they refused to accept credit cards without tacking on a 4% fee - something they had not told us when we specifically mentioned we wanted to pay by credit card when we initially contacted them.  Bottom line - lots of people can do basic handyman stuff and charge what they say they will. Lots of people can get simple work done on time and answer the phone. DCS is not one of those companies.

Recent Review: The project went very well. Doug helped us with suggestions about paint color, door selection, trim, and rail. He helped us with a custom stair rail and banister, for which we continue to receive compliments. The hardwood floors and doors turned out beautifully. The project was completed very quickly. Doug followed up on a regular basis to make sure we were ahppy with the job.

Recent Review: So far the work is going well, after a delay of three days due to over run on other projects they have started.  The guy they sent to scrape the popcorn is professional and very nice.  He has been working since 7 am and now it is 6 pm and he said as long as I don't mind him being here he will continue.  Scraping popcorn is the crappiest of all jobs and he has been here all day and still has a pleasant demeanor and is working .  I appreciate that more than anything after dealing with my last contractor who grumped and groaned the whole time he was here.

Recent Review: I demolished my kitchen, living room and entry way to have all of these rooms rebuilt. Robert came recommended so I had him look at my home before I purchased it to get an idea of cost and creative remodel options. Once I moved in, demo began in kitchen and dining area. Robert put in new floors after helping me select flooring, then we punched out the kitchen ceiling and go rid of fluorescent lighting. Robert drywalled new ceiling, installed lights, and made drywall repairs in preparation for new cabinets, appliances, sink, faucet and countertops. Once all of that was installed, we began work on living room by tearing out old bookcases, and replacing drywall. New trim, handrails, book case shelves, and fireplace mantle were all manufactured by Robert using Colorado's beetle kill wood - looks amazing! We then moved on to tear out entry way, flooring and drywall. Robert laid a new tile floor, drywalled, new trim and installed a new door. He also replaced several light fixtures with new ones in the house. Next up will be my bathrooms and lofted railings, and my outdoor deck. Robert was always doing all this other stuff for me... tightening something, helping with a jammed window, etc. Never nickel and dimed me for it.

It went amazing. Larry is the man. Larry contacted me after I used the Snap & Fix application through the Angie's List App. He called me the same or next day. He came to my house and investigated the issue. He also pointed out some issues that I did not consider. I initially wanted him to replace a broken door (which he did), but he also found all the other issues in the laundry room and told me he would repair those as well. He left and promised to get in touch. In the next couple of days, Larry told me that he found the door (even though it had been discontinued) and it could be special ordered from ProBuild using his contractor account. He ordered the doors for me.  When the doors came in (they took a little while because they were special ordered), he immediately called me and scheduled to come over that Saturday morning. He picked up the doors, delivered them to my house, and I had a To Do list ready for him. He charged me $300 for 9 hours of work (9-6) - what a great deal. He repaired everything I need him to and I even learned a lot in the process. He gave me a $25 off since I sent him a referral.

They did a beautiful job. They spent a lot of time in preparation and measurement which paid off in the results. The cost was paid by the contractor. I'm not aware of any other bids, so it's not possible for me to say whether this was a good price or not. Since this form requires me to answer that question please take that into account.
