Recent Review: First, this was in our living room: old lumpy popcorn ceiling just sucked up paint, and looked ugly. Also the room needed to be repainted and a patch on the ceiling (from old puncture hole) needed to be fixed. Approx 12 ft X 15 ft. not quite square room. Voth's covered my newly upholstered furniture, and piano, and proceeded to "knock down" most of ceiling texturing. They painted the ceiling also. This was done in 1 day. They cleaned and vacuumed and left the room neat at close of work day. We also had to be vigilant, as my cat kept trying to "inspect" what was going on, and they were very understanding and careful not to let her in the room. The second day the walls were painted, and again, care was taken to protect the big pieces of furniture that we couldn't move out of the room. Aside from a little bit of paint smell overnight, the whole project was done efficiently and capably. The above price included the paint that I bought at the local paint store. Their charge for both men for both day's labor and clean up was $820. We have used these folks for many years, and we are pleased to submit these reviews for some very fine work. I have always had a personal reply to any phone call, and if I had to leave a message, it was returned within 24 hrs.

Recent Review: Shawn is amazing! He came highly recommended and gave the best estimate (not the lowest and not the highest). We are 'first time' home buyers and were nervous about such a big project, but Shawn came in and walked us through the process. It took a couple of days longer than expected, but it was worth it and we also added another project at the very end for some major patchwork. It all looks flawless and clean! I would recommend him to anyone and we can't wait for another project so we can hire him back.

Mr Handyman of North Metro Denver
Recent Review: I called Mr. Handyman on Wednesday morning. I spoke to Steve Treacle, who explained their services completely and listened to the problems I needed fixing. He arranged to have a person out at 8:00 AM on Thursday. Jason showed up right on time. I showed him the damaged areas and he got right to work. The exterior wall had been pushed in. First he had to make it vertical. Then he made sure the footer was bolted to the retaining wall. Next he used the spare brick we had to rebuild the exterior brickwork. The wall looks great! Next, he tackled the water damage. First, he cut out the sections he was going to replace and put in new drywall. Then, he spackled everything smooth. That finished out the first day's work. The next day, Friday, he returned to sand his patchwork and apply the popcorn ceiling. This job is now ready for painting, which I'm doing.

Recent Review: Best money I have ever spent!  Roger was excellent and took care of my entire list of items that have been bugging me for years!  I will definitely refer him to friends and I will use him in the future!  He did everything from caulking a shower to rehanging stubborn sliding closet doors to taking care of a stained popcorn ceiling to installing a new latch on my gate to rotating my heavy queen size mattress to bolstering down a deck cover that used to rattle in the wind.  I will start accumulating items for a new list immediately now that I know I have someone I can trust who believes in doing things right the first time.  He was professional, efficient and an expert handyman...plus he was really nice to my 13-year-old dog!

Recent Review:  We originally called Greg because we had thought to remove the few remaining popcorn ceilings before putting our home on the market. We also had a few other small jobs that he said he could do. After talking with Greg, he suggested that we forgo doing the popcorn ceilings at this time---it is a dusty process and it would be better  to do it after the house was empty. He suggested that we give the new owners his business card and they could have it done before moving in. We appreciated his honesty and the possibility of losing out on a job. We did have Greg do several small jobs for us. He repaired several areas of drywall perfectly! It is impossible to tell that there was any previous damage. For one area, we had none of the paint left; Greg went to the hardware store with a piece of the old drywall and returned with the perfect match. We thought that was something we would have to do ourselves. It took us a little while to connect with Greg due to the holidays and his being out of town, but I am glad we were persistent. He is a hard worker and does not waste any time. He sequenced the work so that one area could be drying while he worked on another area. He was friendly, pleasant, and professional to have in our home.

Recent Review: It went fairly well. We ultimately loss use of kitchen when we were told we would not. We bought some plastic to cover the kitchen cabinet and needed to recover the island top because of concern of damage. All the different contractors were pleasant and responsive to my questions and concerns. It just felt like I needed to be at the job site to keep on top of things.

JDS Remodeling and Handyman Service Inc
Recent Review: Let me start by stating how blessed I feel for hiring JDS Remodeling & Handyman Svcs. In JDS I have found a company that takes immense pride in their work and in making sure their clients are happy. I had just purchased a condo and wanted some changes done before I moved in. I found JDS here on Angie's List, liked the reviews I read, and loved the fact that they were local. So I made the call for an estimate. Jovan (the owner) and his wife Charlene arrived on time and we went over what I wanted done and the time frame in which it needed to be completed... popcorn ceiling removed, painting, cabinet removed & wall repaired, electrical wiring for ceiling fans and installed, baseboards and crown molding added, new closet doors, and some water damage to a wall repaired. He had no problem with the timing and could handle everything on my list, plus his estimate was a little lower than competitors. So I hired them for my project. From day one Jovan and his crew arrived prepared and professional. Jovan communicated with me everyday throughout the project to keep me up to date and, as in any renovation project, informed with any problems that arose (luckily they were minor)(and some were my fault-chose the wrong paint color). Jovan handled each obstacle that came up calmly and most importantly to me... kept me calm (had a time frame to remember). My new home turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. The only thing I would have done differently is let JDS do the flooring as the sales and installation deal I thought I was getting turned out not to be a deal at all. But with Jovan's help and expertise, everything came together in the end and I am very happy with the results. JDS Remodeling and Handyman Services have not seen the last of me yet... I have a few more odds & ends work I'd like done and plan on having a long professional relationship with Jovan and Charlene for many years to come. I will recommend this company to everyone I talk to if they want a job done reasonably, on time, and most of all DONE RIGHT!!!

I'll Handle IT
Recent Review: My wife and I have owned a rental property for many years that had been constantly rented but after the last tenant, was in desperate need of upgrades and repairs.  The major problem we faced was how to coordinate the work done in San Diego when we lived in Colorado?   I made a short trip to San Diego to interview numerous vendors and contractors and pick out basic designs.  After interviewing numerous vendors we settled on Dave at I'll Handle It to manage the bulk of the repairs and upgrades.   All I can say is Wow!  What a great experience!   We could not have been happier with the quality of the work, the price, and the professionalism that we found with I'll Handle it.   Dave definitely named his company appropriately and stands by it.   Everything went smoothly.   I observed the entire process remotely from Colorado and Dave sent me pictures throughout the project.  When I finally made the trip to San Diego to do the final inspection, my expectations were exceeded by the quality of the work and how well everything turned out.  I was able to rent the unit to the first tenant that saw the property.  It was the perfect tenant for the property, and we are very pleased with the entire experience.   I don't think we could have selected a better guy to do the job.  I will definitely use Dave in the future for any repairs or upgrades.

All went very well. Greg did perhaps 50% of our remodel work; we also had new flooring put in throughout and had extensive work done on our stairs by other contractors. Greg worked very well with the other contractors, and also helped coordinate much of the work as far as timing and dividing up tasks. The other workers that Greg hired were very professional, friendly, and quality-oriented. He is very, very quality-oriented, and it showed. He also has an eye for design, and gave us his thoughts and opinions on what he thought would go well with our remodel. We like that in a contractor, and ended up doing several of the things he suggested. He was good at setting expectations, and was timely and well organized. He has a lot of connections, and was able to get us connected with other contractors that utilized hard-to-find skills. His charges were fair and accurate, and he is good at communicating.

I had a list for them to do when they, Shawn and Chris, arrived. They arrived early and immediately started to go to work. They installed a ceiling fan, recaulked my bathroom tile, built and installed a cabinet panel for my dishwasher side. I supplied all the material and fan. They worked for a solid 4 hours completing my "to do" list. Shawn and Chris discussed the projects and when they started on my fourth "to do" project (replacing floor laminent), Shawn made it known of certain reservations he had.  He offered to come back another day to allow more time to complete the project since it was getting close to their quiting time.  To complete the prepaid time, Shawn and Chris completed a few other of my projects.  I was very pleased with how they were working and how they completed the projects, I agreed and they returned a few days later to complete my flooring project.  Over all, all my projects listed above were completed, and they fixed my outdoor fence gate.  Shawn told me his family background is in drywalling/texturing.  He gave me pointers on removing the dreaded popcorn ceilings and offered his services to retexture or do the whole removal replace ceiling work. I thought both Shawn and Chris were very professional, polite, friendly, reliable, and experienced.  I would recommend them to my friends.
