Recent Review: I recently had new staircase handrails and hardwood flooring installed. In the process of installing the flooring, the old baseboard was removed and replaced. I wanted to apply a natural finish to the handrails, and caulk and repaint the baseboard and adjacent door jambs and doors. Unfortunately, in the process of removing and replacing, the baseboard was pretty beat up, so when Moses Horner came to bid, he pointed out that I would probably be happier with new baseboard. In hindsight, it would have been foolish to spend money to paint the old baseboard. The two other companies that came to look at the job didn't mention this, so I appreciated Moses' honest opinion. He was kind enough to give me a referral to a carpenter who could do the work. The work was scheduled, and about a week before they started, a very nice woman came to the house to get a paint sample, so they could match the paint. For the actual work -- the painters showed up on time, worked efficiently and left the area clean. The gentleman installing the baseboard ran a day over what he had estimated, and I appreciate Horner Painting's flexibility to finish the job around the carpenter's schedule. I would not hesitate to use Horner Painting again.
