Recent Review: I recently had new staircase handrails and hardwood flooring installed. In the process of installing the flooring, the old baseboard was removed and replaced.   I wanted to apply a natural finish to the handrails, and caulk and repaint the baseboard and adjacent door jambs and doors.   Unfortunately, in the process of removing and replacing, the baseboard was pretty beat up, so when Moses Horner came to bid, he pointed out that I would probably be happier with new baseboard.  In hindsight, it would have been foolish to spend money to paint the old baseboard.   The two other companies that came to look at the job didn't mention this, so I appreciated Moses' honest opinion.   He was kind enough to give me a referral to a carpenter who could do the work.  The work was scheduled, and about a week before they started, a very nice woman came to the house to get a paint sample, so they could match the paint.  For the actual work -- the painters showed up on time, worked efficiently and left the area clean.   The gentleman installing the baseboard ran a day over what he had estimated, and I appreciate Horner Painting's flexibility to finish the job around the carpenter's schedule.   I would not hesitate to use Horner Painting again.

Recent Review: I can't recommend these guys highly enough.  They came to paint while we were out of town, and except for the freshly painted walls there was no trace that they had ever been there.  Our two closet doors didn't get painted, and when I checked the estimate I saw they hadn't specifically been written in so that was definitely our error.  I only notified M&E to ask them which paint to use when I couldn't tell which was ceiling and which was trim in the leftover paint.  They ended up coming back out and painting both doors for no charge, and really bent over backwards to fit it into our schedule at a time that was personally very busy for us (I think we pretty much communicated in voicemails).  Again, the only evidence that anyone was in our house was our freshly painted doors. It's been a month and with heavy use (young kids) everything is beautiful, nothing is chipping off the trim or doors.  Our house looks so much brighter and cleaner.  We loved working with M&E and will definitely use them again in the future.
