Reviews in Commerce City to Repair Exterior Trim

A4 Seasons Construction
We are having our home painted this fall and needed some siding and trim replaced.  Nick was able to give me a firm quote and did everything he promised, with no "extra" charges.  We even had him do a bit more work that came up while he was here and his additional charges were reasonable. Nick and his helper were always professional, answered all my questions, seemed to take a genuine interest in doing good work, and left the work site clean when finished.  I would be happy to use him again and recommend him to friends.

AGS Exterior Experts
We were very, very happy with the work that he did.  I wanted to give him a recommendation.  They are called exterior experts so it was all exterior work.  They use name-brand materials for all the work that they did.  They were very pleasant to work with and were very respectful individuals.  He named who was going to be here before they got here so we knew who was going to be here.  When they got here they checked in with me and they were polite and got right to business. They did what they said they would do in the timeframe they said they would do it in.  I really did appreciate their services.  We checked around for prices and they were right in the middle so they had good pricing.  I would absolutely use them again.

ARBC Home Repairs & Window Cleaning Services
We called Blaine for an estimate. He came by for an estimate the same week. Our 1959 home had not been painted in over 15 years. Many sections of the soffit were rotted and had to be replaced before painting. Blaine gave us a detailed estimate, which included all materials and paint, and we scheduled the job. Blaine arrived on time and got right to work. He power washed the entire house. He replaced the soffit where needed, and sanded all of the wood trim (including enclosed patio, carport and shed). He also refinished those areas that were damaged. Everything was caulked, primed and painted (by brush). The front and back doors were also sanded and painted. All work was completed as scheduled. Blaine's quality of work and attention to detail has brought our home back to life!

AGrandma's Handyman Service, Inc.
Our handyman, Shane, arrived right on time. He reviewed the work to be done, made some suggestions and went to work. I had Shane go to Home Depot to get the materials required for the job rather than going my self. He removed old wood, painted and prepsred the new boards, and calked everything very well before he was finished. The entire job took about 6.5 hours with a half hour lunch break. I contracted this work on a time and materials basis and I am very pleased with the total cost of the project.  Shane was very professional and friendly and he cleaned up very well after the job was complete. I am very satisfied with the project and I would use the service again as well as recomend them to friends and neighbors.

AEndeavor Exteriors Inc
We had an excellent experience with Endeavor Exteriors from the start to the finish of a project to replace our roof and other exterior damage as a result of a hail storm. Tom Wulf did an excellent job of explaining the project from the front end and the rest of the crew were exceptional in communication and taking care of any loose ends we noticed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Endeavor Exteriors for any exterior restoration project you may have!

ALousberg Roofing & Exteriors
Pam Lousberg, the owner, met with me and listened to my concerns. From the beginning, she was easy to work with and honest about what her company provides. The payment was made in three installments: the first after the work began, the second after the work was completed, and the third after all inspections. She has a list of interior items to move before her crew worked to save them from accidentally falling or vibrating to a sad demise.  Her polite crew came and were careful with their materials, spreading tarps under and against the house to collect falling debris. They installed ice and water shield, new vents, and impact resistant shingles. The shingles were a free upgrade! Our city inspector said the roof is beautiful.  Afterwards, the crew swept, used a magnet, and double-checked for nails and such. While we are finding some, it is unlike roofing companies we've used in the past. The gutter men came and did a fine job. If you read articles on checking for good gutter work, these guys fit the bill! No curved, bowed, or scratched gutters were placed on the house. The color matched perfectly. When I did have a question, Jose, Pam's right hand man, came and answered all my concerns respectfully. He even went out of his way to kill a wasps' nest and place caulking on our driveway where the delivery truck had made a crack. Finally the painters came. Sweet and polite, they fixed fascia, painted trim, and did a wonderful job of replacing the screens from our windows. They even replaced screens not on our insurance scope for no extra charge! As my husband repeatedly said, "I love our roofing company!"

AHandyman Matters Centennial
Two guys came over and did a very good job sanding some of the rotting exterior trim, placing some putty in really bad spots, and re-painting all the trim. They worked very hard not to replace a rotted board as they knew the cost and the labor would be quite high. It was very nice of them to avoid this. They did a fine job re-painting all the other trim and cleaning up afterwards. The price was a little higher than I expected, but it was definitely worth it. My house is roughly 1200 sq. ft. and the total cost was $1500.

FGravina Windows & Siding
I had issues with the sub-contractors forgetting that they needed to replace the window sills in addition to the windows after they had replaced three of them. After picking up my son from school I walked into the house that was ripe with cigarette smoke. I spoke to the installers who told me that they were smoking outside but didn't take into account that they had removed the window and the smoke was coming in. When they were done the same guy rang the doorbell and when I answered he was standing on the front porch smoking a cigarette wanting me to fill out the completion paperwork. I called Gravina's and left messages but was never contacted about this matter. One of the window sills had a large hole in it that was filled with caulk from the installer trying to cover it up. They denied that it was caulk and said that it was something left over from the manufacturing process, but it was caulk. They ended up replacing that sill. When my wife (9/1/10)and I went to their show room Robb Gravina had us come to his office and guaranteed us that it wouldn't cost more than $2500 to wrap our exterior trim in vinyl siding. The next day when he and one of his guys came back to measure (for the first time) the windows and trim he said that the trim would now have to be $3500. A week or two after we signed the contract for the windows we called and left a message saying that we wanted to go ahead with the trim as well. We never heard back from them about the trim and finally got them to respond after they had finished installing and correcting the windows in February of 2011 the price went up with no explanation to $3710. I signed it and sent it in to get the work started. Robb contacted me my wife and mother-in-law (who paid for the whole thing) the week of March 28, 2011 regarding payment. My wife and mother-in-law were mistaken about me signing the contract for $3700 but when I talked to Robb on the phone and told him I was not telling I wasn't going to pay it but we had a problem with how the price changed two times and that there was other customer service issues he didn't want to listen. He asked me what the other issues were and I started explaining them he told me that I was in the wrong and that if I did want to talk to him amicably he would talk to me. I told him that I was answering his question about the issues and that I would never recommend them to anyone which is when he threatened to put a lien on my house if he didn't get payment and then hung up on me. He had not interest in listening to my issues and just wanted to get his money.

DDcs Construction
This project was pretty simple - replace some water-damaged drywall in our basement, replace trim, and repaint. We chose DCS because they initially were very responsive and indicated that the job would A) cost approximately $1900, and B) be done in "1 to 2 weeks".  A month and $3200 later, the job is done. And it's done ok, I suppose. Mudding drywall isn't rocket science and it looks fine. But the costs inflated by more than 50%, and the work was done 2 weeks late. DCS did not return phone calls from either us or our tenants, and as a final insult they refused to accept credit cards without tacking on a 4% fee - something they had not told us when we specifically mentioned we wanted to pay by credit card when we initially contacted them.  Bottom line - lots of people can do basic handyman stuff and charge what they say they will. Lots of people can get simple work done on time and answer the phone. DCS is not one of those companies.

AColorado Window Source
Visited their showroom. They took the time to explain the brands/quality levels/features/price of window/patio door products they represent. I selected a quality/price level that matched my home. Price was competitive with other quotations. A deciding factor was that they took the time to answer questions and clearly explain differences in their products. I was not rushed or pressured. As the more modern, improved thermal properties, vinyl windows were thicker that the original aluminum framed items I was replacing they explained their installation procedure involved cutting back the window opening interior sheetrock and wood trim so the window would be flush with the existing exterior trim. This eliminates additional exterior flashing and altering the appearance of the home. The window/patio door furnished precisely fit the openings. Installation was very professional. It is impossible to detect that the sheetrock/wood was cut back to accomodate the thicker window frame. Excellent jobsite cleanup.
