Not very well. I wasn't home when they came to the house. My wife was home and supervised the work. I have many years experience working on my swamp cooler, so know what's new and what's not. I only really needed them to clean out the pan, which I didn't have time or inclination to do. The technician reversed the door cages the cooler pads were in (not sure why) and did not install the pads correctly, so they slumped. The pads worked for a day, then no longer cooled the house (after slumping). When I went onto the roof, I discovered the issues. We asked them to return to the house to fix the problems. They came over (same technician) and proceeded to undo what I fixed. End result - the house wasn't cooling again. I came home and fixed it. The solution to our cooling issues ended up being changing the pads from the blue plastic ones (which were nearly new on my cooler but they swapped them out for new ones anyway) to the aspen ones. Those degrade more, but we noticed a huge difference in cooling. Long story short, while I should have provided more feedback to them, they should have known more what they were doing.
