Recent Review: Concrete Connection Inc. did a nice job. They were in and out very quickly. They have so much work that there was a delay in getting to my job. But when they got here, they did it. They're competent. They did the job the way I wanted it done, so that was fine with me.

Recent Review: They were very responsive and did what they said they would do for the price, even when they ran into a few minor glitches. They had to tear the old sidewalk up, hauling parts of it away with heavy machinery, but they did it, did it well and installed the new concrete well. I would have liked to have seen it built a little more level to where the rain would run off down the yard instead of pool in one spot, but we don't get all that much rain here and we should have caught that and so instructed them. They are hard workers, nothing fancy. Good price for the work.

Recent Review: We needed a new sidewalk because ours broke and sunk. I called and they came out so fast and finished in one day and did great a job. I would highly recommend.

Recent Review: They arrived the day before expected which actually worked well based on the amount of prep work the crew had to complete - turning this into a nearly 2-day project. Foreman worked well with us to resolve challenges identified during the setup of the project. All work was completed well. Only complaint is a less-than natural curve in the sidewalk and a edge chip once forms were removed.

Recent Review: The project took some time to begin due to scheduling but once the crew arrived things went well. In the future I would ask for more specifics from the contact  person as he did not come back to the job site and his crew, with poor English skills, had many questions related to the specifics of the job that I was simply guessing on. Overall, I am satisfied with my new sidewalk and porch.

I talked with Larry Lohman about replacing my old patio and one half of my old driveway. One half of my drive was newer and in great shape and didn't need replacement. He gave me a bid I thought was fair. $5200 approx. that evening I asked if I could have the patio made slightly wider and aside walk put on the side for a total price of $6000.He came the next day, measured and agreed to $6000. I told Larry I did not want the wooded 4x4's that support the patio roof set in concrete. He agreed and said the crew would jack up the room so the timbers were not in the concrete. The problems started when his crew tore up 2/3's of my good driveway. I got them to stop and told Larry. The next day was the concrete pour. I noticed that the crew was putting fiberboard around the roof timbers and the concrete was poured around the wood. I tried to talk to the crew but no one seemed to speak English. That evening Larry and his wife showed up wanting to be paid. I had written a check for $6000. Larry's wife said the bill was something else. I said that we had agreed $6000. Unfortunately I only had the original estimate. Larry said he may have agreed to that price but he couldn't recall as he was pretty full of pain killers from having a broken jaw. (Which he did have ). He became very agitated, demanding more money, be we had a whole new driveway, and he was losing money, and so on, I gave home an additional $250, but I told him that the extra concrete wasn't my fault. He wasn't here to oversee his crew at all. I signed saying the work looked good, Less than 3 later the entire 17foot width go my patio developed a crack. This crack is not in the expansion joints, and has continued to get wider and chip along the edges ever since. I called Larry and asked him to come out. He came out looked at the crack, said it was fine. All concrete cracked and the I "must have bad karma". He reminded me again that I got a "free" driveway out of the deal. I told him I didn't have a free drive he just had to fix his error. He told me he would be back out in the spring to look at the crack. He never showed or contacted me. The other issue is that now water is soaking into the fiberboard that was placed around the wood 4x4's and is rusting the supports and probably rotting the wood. I shared this concern with Larry at the time and he just shrugged off my worries. Larry says he guarantees his work and materials for 2years. This spring, less than 2 years later I noticed that the surface of the driveway and crumbling and chipping. It looks terrible. I called him and asked him to come over when my husband was home so we could discuss the problem. He arrived a couple of hours early, never even rand the doorbell and started looking at the concrete work. I went out to talk to him and he was visibility irritated that I was home. He said the surface problems were all due to magnesium chloride. I asked about the chipping and he said that I must be doing something to the concrete. Also the crack was fine. And of course I got a free driveway. I asked him if he was hong yo repair or fix any of the issues and his response was "that if I wasn't yelling at him and had a better attitude, he might have fixed or replaced some of the areas". I was not yelling. I was trying to stay calm. I have not heard from him since. I filed a complaint with the BBB, but have heard nothing in response. I found dealing with Larry to be a horrible experince and am totally disappointed in both the product and service.

Everything went perfect.  There were a couple of unknown regarding settling under one of the slabs.  Contractor recommended we tear out adjacent concrete (to be replaced anyway) and assess whether there was in fact settling under the slab in question.  It turned out that there was settling, and he recommended replacement.  He showed me how he would compute the fee, which was very reasonable.   All new sidewalks and slabs were reinforced with rebar, and tied  to adjacent slabs or the house foundation.  Concrete finish work was excellent! It is worth noting that the owner supervises each of his jobs. In my case he oversaw and helped with the concrete pour.

After completing the first job, Eric approached me about me about fixing our driveway because it was uneven and he explained the cement would likely crack if not taken care of. I accepted his expertise and agreed to have the driveway treated. He completed this second work and we again paid the full amount he charged. Through the summer I noticed there was some water pooling around the drain and sidewalk he'd put in and the driveway near the drain after it rained especially hard one day but thought it was because there was allot of rain that day. However after the first snow there was a large amount of ice that formed around the same area as the water had pooled in the summer. I called and told him about the ice. He said he would come and check but never did. I called again a few months later to report there were 2 very large cracks in the slab of cement on the driveway that he had treated and a crack under the stairs next to the new sidewalk he put in after installing the drain. He apparently came over and saw the cracks but did not let me know he was here. Later he called and said the only thing he would do was to repair the crack on the stairs. In the course of this conversation I reminded him that he was the one who approached me about the driveway treatment. He then said he would try to reinforce the cement on the driveway as well. His wife later called and said they would repair both the crack on the stairs and the driveway. She came over a few days later with a worker from the company who, through her verbal instruction, in front of my husband and me, fixed only the crack on the stairs. As stated, she was confrontational and rude. The worker, who identified himself as Thomas, did divulge that the other cracks in the driveway could very well have come from the frozen ice caused by the improper draining from the gutter. He said Eric should have come and looked at the ice when I called him about it. However he said he would not put anything in writting. We tried many times and many ways to contact Eric after that day but to no avail. We do have written warranties for both jobs.
