Project took much longer than expected. Misunderstanding with my intentions, I was away during most of the work; the agent left in charge did not work well with the construction team. Patches/repairs to the walls were not up to expectations; I repaired and repainted large sections of the walls myself. Many things had to be re-done, by either the construction crew or myself. The ceiling in the lower section of the house look different than the upstairs although it was the same company to remove the popcorn ceiling, texture and repaint the entire area. Phil did redo the paint throughout the house at no additional charge (due to the color being wrong). The built-in bookshelf was not what I was expecting; examples of bookshelves were left in my absence, the result was nothing like the examples. The wood used in the project would not take stain evenly; it was recommended to paint the shelving instead. The quality of work for this project did not seem the same as the previous project OFB completed a few months before. Many aspects of this project seem to be unfinished; but after the length of time that had passed from the beginning of the project everyone’s patients had worn thin. I worked on small repairs and hired another contractor to finish the bookshelf. In between work conducted by Our Family Builders, my house was broken-into and some high value items were taken. I trusted the crew enough to re-hire them to complete working on my home. Months later, one of the items taken was recovered in one of the crew's garage!
