Recent Review: Everything went wonderfully! I spoke with Katherine for scheduling and she was great! She was very responsive and helpful. I was dealing with my HOA, trying to get the work approved, and she was very polite and friendly with all of my rescheduling and such... such a pleasure to work with. The installer was very friendly as well. He showed up on time and walked me through everything. He was quiet and respectful while installing; I barely knew he was there. The whole experience was so simple.
Recent Review: These guys rock!! They showed up on time, discussed with me potential locations, then once we decided on the perfect spot, they got right to work! My husband and I preferred that our system be as discreet as possible. Cliff helped us find the perfect location in a small unfinished closet in the basement, then ran the pipe up into the attached garage, with the fan placed in the garage attic, and the pipe venting out from the roof. So only evidence of the system from the exterior is a short pipe sticking up from the back of the roof. Very discreet just like we wanted! Cliff provided a free radon test kit so we can see how well the system is functioning. We haven't conducted the test yet, but just looking at the system, it looks well constructed with good materials, so we're betting the test will come back with good results! These guys work very quickly and efficiently and seem to really know their stuff! The whole process from arrival to final tour of system constructed took approximately 3 hrs. These guys are very committed and do great work. I would certainly recommend them! On a side note, Cliff is an interesting guy to talk with!

Recent Review: Clarke is the business owner and system installer. He was very pleasant to work with. A coworker recommended Aames Radon after Clarke installed a system in their house. They were impressed with the quality of work and the cost when compared to other companies. Before calling Aames Radon, I contacted a couple other companies. Aames Radon had the best price and a recommendation, so he won the work. Before installing the system, Clarke made one visit to our house to provide a more detailed estimate and a plan for the installation. After that, we scheduled an installation date with a start time of 8:00 AM. Clarke arrived about 20 minutes early, which made me happy because I could get on with my day. For the installation, about a 4" diameter hole was drilled through our concrete foundation wall. A pipe was run from the exterior into a closet in the basement. A tee joint sent one pipe through a wall into our crawl space and another through the basement concrete slab floor. The crawl space was covered in a plastic which was sealed to the walls. The fan on the outside of the house pulls air from below the slab floor and the crawl space. Clarke painted the pipe and downspout on the outside of our house. He used some leftover paint we had in the garage so the pipe matches our house color. The painted pipe and downspout look really nice (for a radon system). See the pictures on their website for examples. All holes drilled in our house were sealed with caulking to prevent moisture or insects from entering. I think Clarke did a high quality job. The system definitely looks like professional work. I recommend calling Aames Radon to get an estimate and would hire him again. This system was actually installed on the house we are selling. Our new house was radon tested at only 5.1. If I decide to have a system installed there, I'll give Clarke a call.
Recent Review: We just moved into a newly built Ryland home. Ryland installs a "passive" radon mitigation system, which is basically just the pipes underneath the house, running up through the roof. Ryland "pre-wires" the attic so that the homeowner can install a radon fan. Advanced Radon Mitigation first came out to look at the job and gave us an estimate ($425 for fan, manometer and installation). We contact four companies in all; one we called twice and they said they'd come out but never did (we don't call anyone a third time if they're not responsive). The other companies wanted to dig a pit, install brand new piping, drill through walls, and hang the pump outside. At about 3.5 times the cost of installing a fan into a pre-existing, plumbed system. We had to do that at a previous house that wasn't plumbed, but there was no need to do that at this house. We're very happy with the work Tim did. Very professional, very friendly. We can't hear the pump running (it's in the attic) but we can certainly tell it's running by the manometer (and when Tim installed the manometer and drilled into the pipe, you could hear the air being sucked through the hole). We had to wait a couple of weeks for installation but that was fine with us.
Recent Review: We had a radon inspection in May 2012 and a second inspection in July 2012, at which time we decided it was necessary to proceed with repairs to our radon mitigation system. We bought the house in July 2010 and at that time the radon test showed the level of radon to be within acceptable limits - subsequent tests showed the level of radon was above acceptable limits. The Ace Radon technicians carefully explained what needed to be done to make our system up to code and effective.
Recent Review: 5280 Radon initially failed to successfully diagnose the problem, even after installing a temporary second radon system to enhance the airflow from under our vapor barrier, but they refused to give up. They brought in an expert from Colorado Springs who was the head of the radon school where the owners of 5280 Radon learned their craft. He put test equipment in almost every room in our home, and we tested from the attic to the crawl space to the garage. We discovered that the radon level in our three-car garage peaked as high as 45 overnight, and that very-high level of radon was seeping into our storeroom and affecting the levels through our home. The expert recommended a second radon system to draw air from under the concrete slab in our garage. 5280 Radon did an excellent installation for us, and our radon levels now average below 1.0 throughout our house, in the unfinished storeroom, and in our garage. Thanks to 5280 Radon, we now feel good about taking deep breaths in all areas of our home.
Recent Review: Brett was extremely responsive and easy to work with at all points in the installation and testing of the radon mitigation system. I would absolutely recommend Brett to anyone who needs a radon mitigation system installed.
Ace Radon set up a Radon Reading Test Kit which was evaluated by a 3rd party. The results showed Radon level over the EPA limit. Ace Radon then installed the mitigation system. The techs were very professional and the job was done very well. The price was very competitive and reasonable. I would recommend Ace Radon to anyone.

Ace sent me a free radon test when I told them my radon fan had started to act up. I tested for radon and found the result to be really high according to safety standards (about 25). I was so concerned that I immediately called Ace Radon and told them our results. They were really nice and responsive. That day Jeff came out and replaced the fan. He was nice and just got the work done and was out and on his way before I knew it. Meanwhile, Dawn at Ace Radon gave me another test kit to see if the fan replacement was effective. I'll be testing this weekend. If the radon test results come back to high, Ace will continue to work with us to resolve the radon levels to a safe and acceptable level.

The technician was thorough in his explanation of how to use the radon test kit. The company was good on following up to make sure I had sent the kit in for analyzing radon levels. The tech was also thorough in checking out the house for where to establish a radon mitigation system. I thought it was premature to do that, like he was assuming that I would need to have such a system. I was very concerned about the potential cost. As it turned out, my radon levels were below those that required a mitigation system.

Ace Radon is very knowledgeable; they are on-time, courteous and professional. Several years ago, we had a radon test done and learned that our basement had a slightly elevated radon level. We hired Ace to install a radon reduction system. I decided to have them inspect the system, which is now several years old, and perform a re-test to make sure things were working properly. They explain everything as they go along - including any changes in test procedures, recommendations, etc. The results were reported to us promptly. (And, the radon removal system is working just fine.)

T J and Joseph did a wonderful job installing our mitigation system. They were prompt and worked diligently to finish the job. Everything was clean and neat. They explained the system and how to do our next test very clearly.

After researching and calling many Radon Detection services, Ben at All Colorado Radon was by far the best. He explained cost, requirements and expectations over the phone. He said he had free radon detection testers or we could pay a $100.00 fee for the real-time digital professional series radon detection tests. We made an appointment with Ben and he was very punctual, courteous and professional. He spent a half hour educating us on radon with respect to our townhome as we have a finished basement. He listened attentively to our concerns and questions. He provided very reasonable, unique and aesthetic solutions in case mitigation would be required. Although he did not have the free radon detectors he usually uses, he provided us with two of his professional series radon detectors, explained how they worked, set them up for us and said he would return in a few days. On the second day, before the first 48 hours were complete, we had a power surge due to local thunderstorms and the radon detectors reset. Even though these professional detectors were needed on other job sites, Ben said no problem, he'd just let them run for another 48-hours to get the results. Although our radon test was well below the 4.0 radon limit, Ben was very polite and professional. He usually charges $100.00 for the use of these two professional series radon detectors but said there would be no charge. Because of his professional, patient and courteous service, we gladly paid the fee to show our appreciation for his service. We HIGHLY recommend Ben and All Colorado Radon for your radon testing and mitigation needs.

The experience was unique, I've never seen a radon inspection before. The inspector told me everything he was doing and the reason for everything he was doing. The house came back with acceptable levels of radon, which eased my mind.
